Chapter 5 #2
“That’s funny since the only men I see here are Mike, Luke, and Will.”
I recognize every single one of my brother’s friends, even more now with how they speak and move. Most of them have changed, but not so much that I don’t recognize their quirks and features even after eleven years. However, Will looks the same from six years ago.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Brad inquires defensively.
“You guys are in some serious trouble if you’re having a challenge with me being here,” I state. “Trust me. You’ll thank me before the night is done.”
“Yeah?” Kevin challenges. “How so?”
“Aside from the fact that you’re here to help my brother celebrate his last night of the single life, the rest of you are here to get laid.”
Luke snickers as Brad opens his mouth to challenge me.
“Shut it, Bradley,” I command before he utters a word.
“We don’t need a chick to help us get laid,” Kevin declares.
“Riiiiiiight,” I muse. I scan the people around me and call over the closest waitress. “Hey, you!”
The cute woman turns and finds me.
“Yeah, you.” My hand lifts, beckoning her over to us.
“What can I get you?” she asks with a flirtatious smile.
“I’ll have a shot of tequila and a beer,” I declare. “The fairies at the table will have a beer, and we’ll need a round of shots for everyone.”
“Who are you calling fairies?” asks Evan.
I snicker and take a swig of Luke’s beer as the waitress leaves.
“You’re killing the mood,” Brad claims.
“Please. I’m just getting it going.” I take another large gulp of Luke’s beer, winking at him as I return it.
Luke smirks, trying to hide it from my brother and the rest of the guys.
“What was that?” Mike asks.
“What?” I reply.
“I saw that,” Evan comments.
“Saw what?” I bait.
“Are you flirting with Luke?” Kevin inquires.
“Maybe.” I lean back and check out Luke’s butt.
“Did you just check out my ass?” he asks when he notices.
“You liked it.”
“I didn't say I didn’t,” Luke replies.
All of the men at the table gape in astonishment as Luke takes a step closer to me and slides his beer back in my direction after having a gulp himself.
I take the bottle and gradually lift it to my lips, purposefully moving slowly as I open my mouth and stick out my tongue slightly for it to make contact with the cool glass first. I chug the rest of the cold drink while keeping my eyes locked with Luke’s.
Just after I place it back down on the table, Luke takes the bottle from me before my hand lets it go.
He holds my gaze as he takes the bottle, moving toward the bar.
“That’s nasty,” Brad announces.
“What is?” I ask.
“You’re flirting with one of your brother’s best friends,” he claims.
I look over to find Mike glowering at Luke.
“So?” I return, unaffected.
“So, that’s not cool,” Brad states.
“Please,” I scoff.
With the bar pretty empty on a Thursday night, Luke returns quickly with two beers and places the second in front of me.
I lift the bottle and tap it with his before taking a swig. “Thanks.”
“How can you do that?” Kevin asks.
“Do what?”
Kevin gestures towards Luke. “Flirt with your brother’s friend right in front of him?”
“Awwww,” I sigh. “Are you jealous?”
“What? No!” Kevin returns.
“Yeah, you are,” Will laughs.
“I can’t believe I’m seeing and hearing this right now,” Mike grumbles.
The waitress returns to the table, handing out the shots and the beers to my brother’s friends who didn’t already have one.
“I’ll prove to you how you need me here,” I announce. I face the waitress as she hands out the remaining drinks. “Can I ask you something, cutie?”
She smiles at me. “Sure.”
“Based solely on the drinks at the table before I asked you for a new round…who would you sleep with? You can name more than one.”
“Seriously?” she asks with a smile.
“Yep,” I laugh. “Don’t hold back. Be completely honest.”
“Beer…” she says, pointing at Luke and smiling. “Beer.” She points to Will. “And, rum and Coke,” she states, pointing to my brother. She glances at me and winks before saying, “Beer.”
“Thank you,” I say with a grin, handing her some money. “Keep the change.”
“Thanks,” she beams. “Let me know if you need anything else.”
“Will do.”
“Did you just wink at her?” Brad asks.
With a grin, I confirm, “Yep.”
“You just winked at her like you did with Luke,” he states.
I take a sip of my beer.
“Holy fuck,” Evan exclaims. “I knew you were a lesbian.”
A giggle bursts out of me right after I swallow. “What?”
“That’s why you’re here,” he adds. “You’d rather go to the titty bars than the male ones the ladies are going to.”
“I’m not a lesbian.”
My brother sighs and his body visibly relaxes.
Kevin leans forward. “Then…?”
“I’m bisexual,” I claim just to get a rile out of them.
“Did not want to hear that,” my brother comments, shaking his head. “Fuck!”
“Funny…’cause the rest of your friends enjoyed it,” I proclaim.
“No, we didn’t,” Kevin denies.
I run my tongue between my lips. “Yeah, you did…you just won’t admit it in front of Mike.”
“I did,” Luke shares.
I bump my hip against his. “I knew you would.”
“You need to leave,” Mike says, getting up.
“What? Why?”
“It’s weird now,” he returns, trying to pull me away from the table.
“No weirder than having my brother’s soon-to-be wife talk to me about her sex life,” I comment.
“What?” several of them question at the same time.
“What?” I reply, pretending like I don’t know what was said.
“Did you just say Claire talked to you about us?”
I bite my tongue and huff. “Sadly, yes.”
“Why?” Mike asks.
I shrug. “Women just tend to open up to me. I guess she doesn’t really count me as your sister. It didn’t take her long either once she got a few drinks in her tonight.”
“What did she say?” he asks nervously.
“Are you sure you want to talk about it here…?” I look past him at his friends. “Now?”
“Yes.” Mike groans and wipes his hands over his face. “No.”
“Why would she talk to you about their sex life?” Kevin asks.
“Women talk,” I share.
“About sex?” my brother clarifies.
“Yep.”
“As in?” he asks, pushing for more information.
“As in….” I tap a finger as I list off each item. “What we get. What we want. What we fantasize about."
“You’re full of shit,” Brad says with a snort.
My eyes narrow. “Am I?”
“I think it’s hot,” Will states.
“Any normal, heterosexual man would,” I reply, winking at him.
The rest of them, other than Luke and Will, gape in surprise.
“You guys seriously don’t know that women talk about sex with each other?”
“No,” most of them say.
“How do you think most women learn how to kiss and shit?” I ask.
“What?” they all mutter.
I offer a gloating smirk. “You pussies ready to do your shots?”
“Wait,” Mike says.
I stare at him, waiting for him to take the drink. “I’ll explain later. Just relax, drink some alcohol, and let the party begin.”
There’s slight hesitation with all of them except my brother, Will, and Luke. I know Mike is going to need more just to handle the night if it’s going to continue the way it’s been. He’s also going to need more with what I have planned to spice it up a bit.
The fairies take about twenty more seconds before they finally down their shots. Their reactions are priceless as they gag on the bite of the tequila.
“I want to dance,” I announce, getting up and heading out to where there are a few people. Wanting to keep my brother and his friends guessing about my sexuality, I grab the closest hot guy and pull him with me. I’m a full-on heterosexual woman, but it’s sure fun to mess with them.
For the next couple of songs, I remain on the make-shift dance floor, looking over my shoulder on occasion at my brother and his friends who have not left their table.
All of them are watching me, and I love it.
Let the show continue. When one of my not-so-favorite songs comes on, I return to the table and drink half of my beer.
“What the fuck guys?” I say.
“What?” they all reply.
“This is a fucking party,” I remind. “You all look like you’re at a funeral.”
I wave down the cute waitress from before and order another round of shots for everyone. Once the alcohol starts to kick in, I can see the men actually relax a little.
“You fairies need to be more like Will and Luke,” I state.
“Why are you calling us fairies?” Brad whines.
“Because that’s what you look like.”
“We’re not gay,” Kevin challenges.
“Oh, no, honey,” I laugh. “I didn’t call you gay. I called you fairies.”
“Isn’t that one of the terms to describe a gay person?” asks Kevin.
“You’re a dick,” I snap.
“They’re cool,” Luke says close to my ear. “They’re insensitive and stupid, but they’re cool.”
“Why are you guys having such a hard time getting women to come over here?” I ask. “I mean, Will and Luke are getting looks from some of them, but they’re giving off the vibe that they’re not interested, as if not to embarrass the rest of you.”
“What?” Evan replies.
“At this rate,” I giggle. “The rest of you are cock-blocking you friends.”
“How the hell are we cock-blocking?” Kevin asks.
“Ha.” I point at him. “So, you admit that you are cock-blocking.”
“What the fuck are you talking about, Dei?” Mike asks reluctantly.
“Luke and Will know what I mean.”
The rest of them look around the table as Will and Luke slightly nod their agreement with my statement.
“You’re cock-blocking by being fairies,” I state. “Women don’t want men who are pussies. They want men who eat pussy and aren’t afraid to flirt, show their manliness all while still being sensitive.”
“What the fuck?” Evan laughs.
“Dei,” Mike groans.
He’s never liked it when I got vulgar, especially when it’s sexual.
“Luke,” I call, turning to face him.
“Yeah?” he replies.
“Show them.”
“What?” he laughs.
“Fine,” I huff.
“Will?” I ask, looking at him.
“Sure,” Will accepts. “Who’s the target?”
“The two beauties at your four o’clock,” I state. “They keep checking out your butt.”
Two seconds later, Will calls over a waitress and whispers in her ear. He flashes a sexy smile before slipping her twenty dollars.
“What are we watching?” Evan searches.
“You’ll see,” Will replies.
Two minutes later, the two women walk over to our table with two new drinks in hand. “Hi,” they greet at the same time.
I wiggle my fingers in their direction. “Hi, ladies.”
They smile and nod at me before their gaze bounces back to Will. Will gets off his bar stool and offers it to the taller one, then he gets another one from the next table over, right after someone stands up, and brings it over for the friend to sit.
I shift my seat closer to the table. “So, what brings you here tonight, ladies?”
“We usually get out at least one day a month together,” the shorter one informs.
“We don’t get to do it as often,” the other says.
“Why’s that?” Will asks.
“We don’t live as close as we used to,” the shorter one explains.
“Aw, that’s too bad,” Will replies.
“Oh, where are my manners?” I say. “Ladies, this is Will.”
They smile and nod as Will flashes a sexy smile as he takes their hands and kisses the tops of each.
“And…” I continue, “this is my brother, who’s having his bachelor party right now, and his friends Evan, Brad, Andrew, Kevin, Daniel, David, and Luke.”
“What are your names?” Will asks.
“Kristen and Candace,” The taller one replies, gesturing to her friend and then herself.
“A bachelor party?” Kristen giggles.
“Yeah,” I confirm. “I’m trying to liven it up a little.”
“Looks like you could use some help,” Candace surmises.
“Yes,” I agree.
“What have you been drinking?” Kristen asks.
“I got them some shots of tequila and some beers to start. What did you ladies have in mind?”
The two friends take the lead, ordering drinks for the table while also getting the conversations going overall. They pull in a few more chicks to talk to the rest of the guys while my brother ends up switching seats with David so he’s on my right.
I lean into Mike and ask, “How’s the sex, Mike?”
“What?”
“You heard me,” I say. “How’s…the…sex?”
“I’m not talking to you about my sex life.”
“I bet you don’t get enough blow jobs,” I snicker.
“I’m not talking about this with you with them here.” He gestures to his friends. “Actually, I don’t want to talk about this with you at all.”
“Why? We’ve always been able to talk.”
“Not about sex,” he returns.
“They can’t hear anything.”
“Yeah, they can,” he challenges.
“They’re focused on getting laid tonight, so talk.”
Sweat begins to form on his brow. “What?”
“Let’s just say…Claire’s looking for a little more spice.”
Mike forces down a swallow. “As in?”
“She wants you to be a little more… dominant.”
“Bullshit,” Mike returns with a nervous chuckle.
“I don’t bullshit about sex.”
“Claire’s not like that,” he defends.
I wiggle my brows. “Are you sure?”
He takes a long pull on his beer. “What did she say?”
“She doesn’t just want love making. She’s not a prude, but she’s scared to ask for certain things.”
He rubs his hands over his thighs. “Like what?”
“I would recommend reading a few of the books she reads. Better yet, ask her to read them to you.”
His head sways. “I don’t want to read romance novels.”
“Trust me, you do. There’s a lot to learn about a woman by the pleasure books she reads.”
“What do you mean pleasure books?”
“Half of them are dirty,” I reveal. “Depicting sex scenes and everything.”
“Everything?” Mike questions, like he doesn’t believe me.
“Everything…saying words like penetrate, thrust, vagina, pussy, fuck, hump….”
“Bullshit,” he laughs.
“I dare you to flip through the pages of at least one or two of her books when you get back tonight,” I challenge. “Then, you’ll know I’m not lying.”
“I’m afraid to ask how you know about these books.”
I take a sip of my beer. “Aside from her telling me…I read them, too.”
Mike’s face appears to be turning green. “I did not need to hear that.”
“You’ll be thanking me once you do.”
