16. Chapter Sixteen
Chapter Sixteen
Sophia slipped on the cute boots that Ruthy had brought to her room.
She had her first pair of biker boots. Tack was taking her on a date, but because of the threats, a couple of the MC brothers would be riding with them.
Tack had said she should wear her jeans or overalls and boots, and she’d probably want her hair braided because of the wind.
Her overalls didn’t scream biker babe, so she’d chosen jeans, a cute shirt, and her new boots. She’d taken his advice and had her hair in one large braid. She’d even found a cute pair of glasses to wear.
She walked down the stairs, spotting Tack standing in front of the window. Tight jeans hugging his thighs and that oh-so-scrumptious package behind his zipper had her wondering if he planned on bending her over the bike and having his way with her sometime tonight.
“That can be arranged, babe. You are exquisite,” Tack breathed.
“Thanks, I love my new boots,” Sophia confessed, spinning around.
Tack walked closer, taking her hand to pull her close.
“Me too,” he whispered before taking her lips.
Her man could kiss. Although she loved his kisses, she hoped he stopped before he drenched her panties.
She didn’t want any chafing on the motorcycle because her pussy had finally recovered from his attentions.
“Let’s go,” he requested, his hand on her waist as Shield held the door open for them. She followed him out to his bike. The large sign that had blocked Jolene from seeing everything had been picked up today. She was going to miss the privacy they’d had.
Tack settled the helmet on her head, helping her fasten it before getting on the bike and reminding her how to mount it. She grinned, thinking that she’d love to mount him after the bike ride. Well, she’d love to mount him now but not out front where everyone was watching.
A muffled chuckle from Stinger had her glaring at him. Fuckity-fuck-a-duck.
“Hey, babe, did you recognize Stinger from any online videos? Like when he was lying on the floor of a van and screaming, ‘I’m gonna die’?” Tack eagerly questioned.
“Jerk,” Stinger called.
“Laugh or tease my woman and it will be returned to you tenfold,” Tack threatened.
She grinned at the one-finger salute that Stinger gave Tack. The bike rumbled when Tack started it up. She grabbed onto his shoulders. This was so exciting.
“You ready, babe?” he asked.
“Yes,” she yelled.
Tack kicked up the kickstand, and they were off, slowly down the driveway and then right onto the street, picking up speed.
Sophia enjoyed the feel of the wind blowing as they headed farther into the country.
The road had some curves, and Sophia leaned with Tack like he’d talked about doing.
They rode for about fifteen minutes until Sophia recognized where they were riding toward—Wyandotte County Lake & Park.
They rode into the entrance to the park and followed the road around until Tack started slowing down.
She looked toward the water that was so pretty as the sun started to go down.
Tack backed the bike into the spot and held up his hand to help her off. Her thighs felt like jelly, but once she was steady, Tack got off the bike and helped her with her helmet. He hooked the helmet on the bike and held her hand as they walked toward the water.
He turned toward the picnic he’d had Cue from Pit’s KC Barbecue set up.
“Oh,” Sophia gasped. “Is that for us?”
He grinned at her hopeful tone. This woman was going to get every experience she’d never had because she deserved the world. He was just the man to give it to her.
“It is. I know our first date is a little out of order with the week we’ve had, but I wanted it memorable,” Tack admitted, leading her to the quilt laid on the ground. Small torches were stuck in the ground, providing light and hopefully keeping the majority of the bugs away from them.
Sophia knelt on the quilt, leaning over to look at the design. “This is so pretty,” she marveled, her eyes wide with wonder as she ran her fingers over the squares.
Tack settled on the quilt, opening the basket with the food. A silver bucket filled with ice had wine, a couple of beers, and some soft drinks. Besides coffee, he hadn’t pinpointed what Sophia’s favorite drink was. During the adoption event, she drank whatever was available.
He laid their plates on the quilt along with the dishes that Cue had brought. Skewers of bite-size smoked chicken, slices of brisket with side dishes of baked macaroni and cheese, potato salad, sweet corn, and rolls.
“Shall we?” he asked, motioning to the food. Sophia smiled and nodded.
Once they’d filled their plates, the only sounds were each of them exclaiming over the flavors of the food.
“Oh, this is so good and the perfect temperature. Whoever did this for us did a great job,” Sophia noted, pointing to her macaroni and cheese.
“It looks good,” Tack confirmed. He’d decided to see if he was still hungry before taking a helping of macaroni and cheese.
“Oh, you didn’t get any yet,” Sophia added, scooping a spoonful and leaning closer, bringing the spoon to his lips. He opened his mouth, taking the bite and chewing the macaroni and cheese. He nodded and swallowed.
“Oh, that is good, but I have to admit, having you feed it to me might have turned my thoughts to other things besides food,” Tack teased.
Sophia giggled, her eyes dancing. Man, he adored seeing her so happy. He was getting as sappy as Pit and Justice were for their women, and he was okay with that.
“Although I’ve had a fantasy of you taking me on your bike at some point, out in the open when it’s still light at Wyandotte Lake wasn’t where I was thinking,” she joked.
“I agree because nobody is seeing your luscious body but me,” Tack growled. He wasn’t sharing her beauty with anyone.
“What happened to our escorts? Do they need food?” Sophia asked.
Tack shook his head—this woman. “Cue brought food for them and a deck of cards. They’re most likely playing poker in the van, but that was sweet of you to think of them.
How about we get to know each other better?
I realized when I was ordering the drinks that I don’t even know your favorite drink,” Tack mused.
“I like iced tea or water. I’ll have a beer, glass of wine, or soda depending on the meal. What about you?” she questioned.
“The same as you. Favorite snack?” he asked.
“Chex mix or potato chips. You?”
“Popcorn, preferably white cheddar or caramel.”
Sophia moved closer, leaning back on her elbow. “Let’s go a little harder. Favorite movie?”
“That’s a hard one. I love both Top Gun movies, but I also love all the action movies. What’s yours, babe?” he asked, sliding his hand down her arm to hold her hand.
“Favorite Christmas movies, It’s A Wonderful Life and Die Hard, the original. Favorite movies when I want to escape would be Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters or F1,” she stated.
Tack relaxed, listening to the sounds of the park coming alive as the sky darkened. He grabbed a couple of the toss pillows Cue had brought for them to sit on if they wanted. He scooted down and wedged it behind his head, holding his arm out.
“Wanna snuggle, babe?” he asked.
Sophia didn’t answer, but she laid down, scooting closer until her head was on his chest. Having her in his arms felt right.
“Where would your ideal vacation be?” she whispered.
“As long as you’re with me—anywhere,” he declared.
She rubbed her hand along his cut, then slipped under to rub her hand against his shirt and chest. “Me too,” she admitted.
Tack closed his eyes, savoring the moment. Sophia against him made everything right in the world.
“Hey, I hate to break this up, but Pit called. We need to head back. First off, all the animals seem fine, but there was a fire in the barn,” Stinger informed them.
Sophia jumped up. “Where and how?” she fired at Stinger.
Stinger held up his hands. “You know what I know. Pit said to hurry back but keep an eye out.”
