Chapter Twenty-Three #2

“Don’t worry, darlin’. I gotchu.” He winks, then places the cowboy hat back on my head. “Now ride me like a good cowgirl.”

As soon as he impales me with his cock, I move. Between rocking my hips and slamming down on him, I control the movements as much with my wrists bound. He slides his hands across my flushed skin, pinching my nipples and licking over my collarbone as our bodies merge into one.

Every touch is branded by the crushing feeling that I’m falling hard for this man, and I don’t ever want to leave him again. The words are on the tip of my tongue to spill them, but the emotions are so overpowering, the orgasm rips through me without warning.

“That’s four,” he muses, kissing my neck before he steals my lips. “Gimme one more and then I’m gonna fill you deep with my cum.”

I don’t know how much more I can handle, but it doesn’t take long for the sensation to resurface once he circles my clit and fills my ears with his dirty talk.

“So fuckin’ responsive.”

“God, you’re perfect.”

“Such a good girl ridin’ my cock and wearin’ my hat.”

“Christ, darlin’. You feel incredible.”

“Come, baby. Take what you need.”

And this time, I squirt so hard, there’s no way my cries go unheard throughout the resort.

When I fall on his chest, he holds my hips and thrusts up into me, unleashing his own release. He groans and buries his face in my hair before sinking his teeth into my shoulder.

The vibration of his moans rips through me like an aftershock.

“And that’s five.”

“And a new record.” I release a shaky breath, then whisper, “Does it always feel this way?”

“It never has for me, love.” He kisses my forehead and rubs a soothing hand down my back. “Your wrists okay?”

“I think so. Can’t say the same for the rest of me, though.”

He chuckles before sliding out from underneath me. “Be right back with the key.”

As soon as he releases me, he kisses the indent marks.

“Can I cuff you next time?” I arch a brow, then quickly add, “While you wear the hat.”

“Darlin’, you could hogtie me in the bed of my truck buck ass naked and have me anyway you want without question. I guarantee there’s nothin’ I wouldn’t let you do.”

My eyes widen at the visual, and I grin at how quickly he came up with a scenario. “So, nothing’s off-limits, huh?”

“With you, never.” He lifts my chin. “If you wanted to pee on me, I’d let you do that too.”

My head falls back as I choke with laughter. “You’re a little freaky, aren’t you?”

He snakes his arms around me, pulling me closer. “More like obsessed with you and wanna make you happy.”

I flatten my palm over his cheek, gazing into his eyes as he stares into mine. “I am happy. You make me happier than I’ve ever been.”

“Amelia, I—”

Remy’s incessant barking pulls us apart and alarm bells sound off in my head.

“What the hell?” Colton leaps off the bed and grabs his discarded slacks before shoving them on.

“The kids.” I grab his button-up shirt and pull it through my arms.

“Stay here,” he says, opening the door. “Let me investigate first.”

“No way.” I shove past him, needing to make sure Sam and Lily are safe. If someone’s nearby, I’m not waiting to check on my kids.

“Amelia!” He grabs my arm, moving me behind him as he rushes down the hall to their bedroom.

He opens their door, and I breathe out a sigh of relief. They’re still fast asleep.

Remy continues barking in the other room. It gets more aggressive, which isn’t like him.

“Gonna check on him. Stay here with the kids.”

This time, I do listen and sit on the edge of the bed, re-tucking their blankets. Sam stirs, but I rub his back until he relaxes again.

When the house quiets down, I step into the hallway. “Colt?”

He approaches with Remy at his side. “Everything’s locked, and I didn’t see anythin’ outside. Not sure what he heard.”

As soon as those words leave his mouth, a piercing alarm blares from outside.

Remy sprints toward it, barking so loud that it makes my ears ring. I follow Colton, watching as Remy jumps on the front door.

“What was that?” I ask, panicked.

“I think that’s my truck’s proximity sensor.” He pulls out a bat from the coat closet, then shoves his bare feet into his boots. “Stay inside, please.”

“It’s pitch black out,” I whisper-hiss when he releases the deadbolt. The motion light only reaches across the deck, so you can’t see down the staircase or driveway where he’s parked.

“Remy has good night vision.”

That doesn’t make me feel much better.

I wait impatiently as they walk out and listen for any suspicious noise or movement in the woods. Remy sniffs around the deck, wagging his tail, then runs down the stairs with Colton close behind.

“Who’s there?” Colton shouts from below the deck, so I can’t see anything.

There’s some commotion and wrestling before silence.

“Colt?” I yell.

Remy’s continuous barking makes it harder to hear what’s going on.

I’m torn on leaving the house with the kids inside or checking on Colton.

“I’m okay.”

“What’s goin’ on?” I ask urgently.

Two shadowy figures appear up the stairs, my heart beating wildly in anticipation as they walk toward me. Remy’s close behind and finally calmed down enough so I can hear the blood rushing through my ears.

“Who’s that?”

A man I don’t recognize stands before Colton, his hands up in surrender, looking sheepish and nervous.

Colton points at him with the bat. “This guy claims he’s your dead brother.”
