Max's POV
I threw the darts that were wrapped in my hand at the board in the pack's arcade. I was thinking a lot, my mind wasn't in one place. I knew I needed to take my mind off whatever I was thinking so I chose to distract myself. It was for the best.
The decision to play the darts didn't help me in anyway. I still found myself going back into my head, the thoughts I didn't want enveloped my mind. It didn't want me to toss it away even for a second.
The only name and person who enveloped my thoughts was Liv. Why was she so stubborn? why doesn't she understand that I was the only person who genuinely wanted the best for her.
I thought that if I handled her with a strong grasp, she would comply to my words but nothing of that sort happened. She just kept on crying and wailing, the sounds of her loud cries became irritating to my ears.
Liv was just a manipulative soul. I was glad I was able to see through her tactics. On the other hand it was Luna Rebecca. Never for once has she left me have a breathing space, she kept on havouring around me as though she was some kind of pest.
I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn't realize they was a guard who stood behind for a very long time.
"Alpha" the guard called out, snapping me out of my thoughts. I swiveled my head to his direction, gazing at him with a stern glare.
"What is it?" I asked coldly.
"Someone is here to see you" the guard answered with his head bowed down.
"Who is that?" I questioned, turning my gaze away from him.
"I really don't know Alpha. It would be best if you see him fir yourself" the guard replied.
"Send him in before I change my mind" I ordered as the guard walked away with hastened steps.
It didn't take long before the person walked in. I noticed it was one of the council members. I began to wonder what new compliants he had at that moment. I wasn't ready to talk especially when it came to the council members.
"Alpha Max" he called out. I felt disgust fill up inside of me, I couldn't hide it any longer.
"Spill it out. What are you here for?" I asked in a low but dangerous tone.
" The state of the pack is something else. Nothing is going on smoothly in the packhouse" he blurted out. I thrusted my hands into my pocket, tapping my leg on the floor.
"You should know by now that I don't like it when someone beats around the bush. Get straight to the point, tell me what you want?" I stated.
"The people of our packhouse are starving and everybody is in chaos" the council member explained.
"what am I supposed to do about it? before leaving the packhouse I put everything into your care alongside the other council members untill I'm back" I aired.
"Yes Alpha. I know about that but the three Alphas of dark moon pack are nowhere to be found. I thought I could handle the packhouse alone with my colleagues but that's not the case, it's much more difficult than I have ever thought" he explianed.
"I don't have any solution to the problems you've listed out. Get away from here before I lose my temper. Besides who informed you about where I stay" I questioned.
"Forgive me Alpha for what I'm about to say but I believe that there won't be a better time than right now to say all this" he said. I let out a loud sigh, loud enough to fill his ears.
I wasn't in the mood for all the compliants or whatsoever. Apart from the packhouse I had other affairs to attend to, I had a personal life and it was high time I attended to it.
I gazed up at him, looking at him from head to toe as I brushed past him. I was headed towards the door, I didn't have enough time to spare for his talks.
"There's no need for you to act invisible to all of this. You're an Alpha, you need to show that you're capable by looking for a solution to darkmoon pack problems" he said. Immediately I heared those words spew out of his mouth, I stopped right in track.
The anger I had be trying to overcome rippled through me like a harsh wind. I gritted my teeth, I balled my fists in anger. My veins popped out of my forehead as beads of sweat began to firm on it with my reddened eyes.
"Get out of here right now!" I instructed in a deep voice. I pointed my finger at the door, gesturing for him to leave but he didn't move his legs. He was glued at the spot.
"I won't leave when you haven't given me a solution to the problems in our packhouse. I need solutions Alpha" he replied with adamance. That was all it took to reignite the beast inside of me. I turned around to face him with squinted eyes.
I smirked at him. It seemed as though he didn't fully know on how capable I was when it came to dealing matters like this.
I seized him by the collar as I punched him hard on his cheek. "How dare you argue with the Alpha!? where did you get such guts from? I asked with all manner of harshness inside of me as he began to cough out loudly.
I grabbed him by his neck. I wrapped my hand around it tightly, I digged my fingers deep into the sides of his neck. It was all on purpose, I wanted him to feel immense pain just like how I have been feeling all these days.
I dragged him with me. I pushed him outside as my eyes collided with a guard who stood at the door step.
"Throw him out of here" I ordered.
"Don't touch me, I can go by myself" he said, still trying to struggle away from their tight clutches.
"Let go of me!" he said amidst the struggles he had to face.
"Didn't you hear what I said? Who is your Alpha!" I commanded.
"it's you sire" the guard bowed immediately.
"It's better you throw him out of here or get ready to bear the consequences of his actions since you've decided to have pity on him" I aired out as the guards held onto him tightly.
"You will regret this Max. The people will rebel. I promise you that what I've said would surely happen, you can't hide forever!" He screamed while he was still dragged out.
I thought that the anger inside of me would quench once I had thrown him out but it increased more. It felt as though I needed another means to vent out whatever I was feeling.
I walked up to the guard who stood at the door. I could still recognize his face clearly, I could never fail in that. Especially in the person who approached him first.
I punched him on stomach, as hard as I could as he spewed out blood from his mouth. He was trying to clean it but little did he know he wasn't going to get that opportunity from me.
"Why did you let him in!" I barked as resentment surged through me.
"You told me to my lord. I just obeged your instructions, just like I do everyday" he answered while coughing out blood.
I was meant to feel better from what I just heared but his confessions made me more angrier. I raised his body. I slammed his back on the wall. I punched his chin multiple times.
I kicked him but I didn't stop even when I heared him groan in pain. I kept on attacking every part of his body. I made sure to get him well beaten just to satisfy my ego.
I punched him countlessly. There wasn't any track of how long I had been punching him. All I knew was he couldn't cope again, his body had become so weak that his body became lifeless and his face disgured.
After everything I wiped his dirty blood that was smeared on my face. I looked up to see the maids staring with fear expressed through their eyes. They stared at me but as soon my eyes got locked with theirs, they began to scurry away.
"Clean up this mess!" I instructed some of the guards that stood still despite the fight between I and the guard.
"Alpha there's someone else who is here to see you" another guard informed. I was already so tired of everything.
"I swear if is another blood council member, I will rip them apart!" I cursed out loudly.
"No Alpha, its a woman"
