Chapter 12 #4

But slow wasn't enough. Not for either of us. She lifted her hips to meet my thrusts, matching my rhythm, taking me deeper. Her nails raked down my back, leaving trails of fire in their wake. The slight sting only heightened the pleasure, made everything sharper, more intense.

I set a new rhythm. Deep and steady and relentless.

Each thrust drove her higher up the bed until I had to brace one hand against the headboard to keep us from hitting it.

Rain misted over our skin, wind howling through the open windows like something wild and primal.

White light flashed again and again, illuminating us.

Her face twisted in pleasure, my body moving over hers, our skin slick with sweat and rain.

"Ripplan—" My name was a prayer on her lips, broken and wanting. "Oh God, Ripplan—"

I kissed her throat, tasted the salt of her sweat mixed with the cool rain.

Her pulse raced under my lips, fast and frantic.

I could feel her heart hammering against my chest, heard every ragged breath she took, and savored the intoxicating mix of her arousal and that sweet, spicy scent that was uniquely hers.

She was everywhere. In my lungs, on my skin, wrapped around my cock. Consuming me completely.

"You're so perfect like this," I growled against her throat. "Taking me so well. Like you were made for me."

I captured her mouth in a bruising kiss, pouring everything I felt into it. Everything I couldn't say. She kissed me back just as fiercely, her tongue tangling with mine, her teeth catching my lower lip. When we broke apart, we were both panting.

"Harder," she whispered against my mouth. "I need more—"

I didn't need to be told twice. I shifted my angle, driving deeper, and she cried out. Her nails dug into my shoulders hard enough to draw blood. The pain mixed with pleasure in a way that made my vision blur.

"Like that?" I asked roughly.

"Yes, God, yes, don't stop—"

I could feel her tightening around me, her body coiling tighter and tighter. She was close again. So close. And I wanted to feel her come apart around me, wanted to watch her face as she shattered.

I slid one hand between us, finding her clit with my thumb. She jerked at the contact, a broken sound escaping her throat.

"Come for me," I commanded, circling her clit in time with my thrusts. "Let me feel you."

"I'm—I'm so close—"

"I know." I could feel it. Could feel her inner walls starting to flutter around me, could see the tension building in every line of her body. "Let go. I've got you."

Thunder crashed directly overhead, so loud it felt like the world was splitting apart. Lightning illuminated the room in blinding brilliance. And in that moment, with the storm raging around us and my body buried deep inside hers, she came.

She shattered with a cry that was half my name, half something wordless and primal.

Her body arched off the bed, her back bowing, her inner walls clenching around me in rhythmic pulses that threatened to pull me over the edge with her.

Her nails raked down my back. Her thighs trembled against my hips.

Her whole body shook with the force of her orgasm.

And I couldn't hold back anymore.

The sensation of her coming around me, the sight of her face twisted in ecstasy, the sound of my name on her lips, it was too much.

Pleasure crashed through me like the thunder overhead, starting at the base of my spine and radiating outward until every nerve ending in my body was on fire.

I buried myself as deep as I could go and followed her over the edge, my release tearing through me with an intensity that left me shaking.

For a long moment, we stayed like that. Tangled together, breathing hard, the weather raging around us. Rain misted through the window, cooling our overheated skin. Thunder rumbled, softer now, the worst of it passing.

I should move. Should pull out, clean us up, give her space.

But I couldn't. Not yet.

I rolled to the side, pulling her with me so I didn't crush her with my weight.

She came willingly, curling against my chest like she belonged there.

Her breath still came in gasps, her heart racing against my ribs.

I could feel the aftershocks still rippling through her body, small tremors that made her press closer to me.

"That was—" she started, her voice hoarse.

"Yeah." I pressed a kiss to her damp hair, breathing in her scent. "It was."

She tilted her head back to look at me, and something in her expression made my chest tighten. Vulnerability. Trust. Something deeper that I wasn't ready to name yet.

Thunder rumbled again, distant now. Moving on, leaving us in its wake.

But something had changed between us. Something fundamental and irreversible. I could feel it in the way she fit against me, in the way her fingers traced idle patterns on my chest, in the way she looked at me like I was something precious.

She was mine now. Not just in the physical sense, though that was undeniable. But in some deeper way that I didn't fully understand yet.

And I was never letting her go.
