Chapter 2
NORAH
"Who's this man that's been having you giggling all on the phone late at night?" Mama asked, watching Norah text away on her phone.
"I do not be giggling."
"Shiddd. I be hearing you late nights. It's actually kinda cute. Yo ass need somebody to make you smile."
"And why is that, Mama?"
"Because everybody needs love. Yo fast ass got all these men in love with you and they don't mean you no good. Don't spend your life being a gigohoe."
"Gigolo maa." Norah burst out laughing at Mama's word of choice."
"You know what the hell I mean." mama giggled along. "You and that damn Dragon. Y'all just two whores." Again, Norah laughed because Mama never called Dragon by his street name. She didn't even play that in her house.
"Well since you must know, his name is Tasim King…" Norah quickly stopped herself before she slipped and said the word Kingly. "He's cool." Norah smiled thinking about how smooth Tasim was.
Speaking of the devil.
Norah thought, as she and Mama pulled up home. Tasim was already awaiting her so she cursed under her breath because Mama nosey ass was sure looking.
"Oh, he's cute." Mama observed Tasim who leaned back on his car coolly. "Be careful with him, he takes charge and thinks he owns the place."
"Why you say that?"
"For one, he's out of his car. Two, he's laid back smoothly like his ass runs the world.
It's not a bad thing. You need an alpha male to tame yo little feisty ass anyway.
Just be careful. I'll see you later." Mama grabbed her stick and opened the car door.
She grabbed the few bags and exited the car.
"How you doing Mama?" Tasim asked, making Mama smile.
"I'm okay Tasim. Thanks for asking." She remembered Tasim's name because Norah had just told her.
Tasim smiled at the fact that Mama knew his name and this told him Norah talked about him.
Norah climbed out of the car nervously and instantly locked eyes with Tasim.
She wasn't sure why she was nervous but he had this certain effect on her.
Her confidence made her shake it off, so she strutted over to him with an over-exaggerated sway of her hips.
She was wearing a cute little outfit and a pair of open toe sandals with a short heel. It was perfect for the weather.
"Why the fuck yo location expire? Didn't I tell you share that shit indefinitely?"
Tasim instantly began badgering her as he wrapped her into his arms. Norah quickly broke the hug because Mama was still on the porch and she didn't wanna look soft.
Norah walked over and Tasim opened the door for her.
Just as she sat into the leather seats, she and Mama locked eyes.
Mama had this bemused look on her face as if she recognized Tasim.
When Mama waved bye, Norah released her breath, waving back.
"Norah, you want me to beat yo ass already huh." Tasim climbed inside and began fumbling with his music. Kevin Gates began to play but he made sure to turn it down.
"I'm not sharing my shit forever. You ain't gone share yours." Norah rolled her eyes followed by a smirk because she knew damn well, he wasn't gone share his shit.
"You hard headed as fuck. I got something for yo ass." he nodded as his dick got hard thinking about it.
"What you got for me?" Norah asked, taking it upon herself to turn the music back up. This shut Tasim up so he pulled off and bust a U-turn. Norah made sure to buckle up because she could tell he was a fast driver.
After driving for about 15 minutes, Tasim looked over to Norah who was busy on her phone. She could feel him watching her and there came that nervousness again.
"What you tell Mama about me?"
"I ain't tell her shit. She asked who you were so I told her your name.
Don't flatter yourself nigga I don't talk about you.
" Norah lied. She talked about him to Dragon whenever she got the chance.
Dragon came over one day and mentioned he had been copping weed from him and this had Norah smiling from ear to ear.
Because Dragon liked Tasim, he really didn't mind his little sister fucking with him. Any other nigga, Dragon dug into their life deep. So deep he would tell Norah all of the nigga’s dirty laundry.
Anything to make her stop talking to him.
With Tasim, he didn't have no smut. His findings only led back to him being a Kingly.
No, Kingly's weren't shit but that was rumors.
Granted, he's heard the foul things about the Dynasty but again they were rumors.
Dragon wasn't one to listen to rumors. He didn't indulge in the street gossip and he damn sure hadn't met one person that had actual facts on what went on in the Dynasty.
"Yeah aight." Tasim chuckled knowing damn well she was lying. Her brother had already mentioned that she asked if he had seen him. He wasn't gone mention it but her playing tough turned him on more.
"Whose are these?" Norah bent down and retrieved the panty liners from the bag.
"My little sister." Tasim quickly lied, taking them from her hands. He put them back into the bag and tossed it in the backseat before she saw the other items.
"So, where we going?" Norah asked, changing the subject.
He did mention having a sister and she was hoping one day she could meet her.
She needed someone to get close to because Dallas was still MIA.
She hadn't spoken to Hannah in a few days and just the thought of Dallas, she was gonna reach out to her in the morning.
She missed her best friend and really needed her.
Tasim always made her feel better by promising they would find her so the thought of Dallas being dead didn't weigh heavy on her any longer. She kept the faith.
"We gone slide to the Dynasty. That's cool?"
"Yeah, I guess." Norah wanted so badly to say no because the Dynasty brought her these eerie feelings she hated. However, she wasn't gonna ruin the moment. And anyways she was hoping the Dynasty was the key to finding Dallas.
***
Walking into the Dynasty, Norah couldn't help but twist her neck at the asshole security that got on her nerves the day she came looking for Dallas.
Because Tasim was pulling her by the hand, she used her free hand to flick him off.
He hit her with a smirk because her little ass just didn't know what was in store for her.
Norah and Tasim took the elevator up to the top floor, googly eyeing each other the entire time.
When the elevator stopped, they had reached a hallway that was slightly dim, but so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Just as they reached a specific door, Norah released Tasim's hand and had to pause momentarily.
Suddenly, she felt a chilling eerie feeling as if she could feel Dallas was near.
She whispered her friend's name, but the silence that followed was oppressive.
She had a vision of Dallas figure out of the corner of her eye, wearing the same outfit she wore the last day they encountered each other.
Her heart raced but she shook it off as if she was tripping.
Tasim opened the door using a code then stepped inside.
The automatic lights came on but not too bright.
They were perfect. Norah walked in upon his command and began taking everything inside.
The entire room was plush in blue suede and mirrors aligned the room.
There was a blue sofa that looked like no one sat on because it was dent and wrinkle free.
There was also a roulette table with blue interior that sat near a bar.
Norah didn't need Tasim to host. She took it upon herself to walk over and pour herself a drink because she needed to relax.
She wanted to take her mind off of her whereabouts and even Mama's voice that echoed in her mind.
"You drinking?" she asked, holding a bottle of Tito's Vodka.
"Yeah, double shot no ice." Tasim replied.
She poured his drink then poured the same for herself.
She grabbed three fresh cut limes and placed them on a napkin.
Tasim was watching her every move as she walked towards him.
It's like he was undressing her with his eyes but because he was fine as hell she didn't mind.
"Here nigga." she rudely handed him his drink.
"Thanks, mean ass."
"I am not mean."
"You mean as hell but that shit sexy. I keep telling you I got something for that ass."
"You sure keep saying that. I'm waiting." Norah boldly replied. She was tired of him secretly threatening her. Whatever it was, she was ready to prove him wrong.
Tasim guzzled down the drink then walked over to a separate door. He motioned for her to come and she got nervous. Her mouth had wrote a check her ass couldn't cash but she wouldn't fold. She did the same as Tasim, guzzled her drink but stopped to pour another. She sighed then followed behind.
They entered the room and Norah was more impressed. She smirked when her eyes fell onto the massage bed. The dimly lit room was filled with the soft glow of candles, casting a warm ambiance over the massage table. The scent of essential oils wafted through the air, calming the scene.
"Just a friendly massage." Tasim smiled then took her drink from her hand.
I should've slid her ass a pill.
Tasim thought, thinking about Rahim when he slipped the cop ecstasy.
Norah laid down on the table, and watched Tasim, ruggedly handsome ass eagerly move towards her.
He wasted no time placing his hands on her, sending a shivering sensation instantly down her spine.
Although Tasim had a rough exterior, his hands were gentle.
He worked his fingers into Norah's tense muscles.
As his hands moved in slowly with deliberate strokes, she felt her body relax and her mind unwind.
But beneath the surface, a spark of attraction flickered to life.
