19. Korben
Epilogue
The next few weeks and months rolled into one another as both Korben and Michael were kept super-busy by the rapidly escalating success of Korben’s Kandies.
With the Japanese expansion gathering pace and Korben’s Kandies now successfully placed in Luxwell Department Store, Korben had his plate full of design, planning, and taste-testing.
Of course, Michael was on hand to handle the financial side – and it turned out that the two of them made a great team. Michael was far more open about keeping Korben fully in the picture, and Korben now trusted Michael to let him inside his processes and thoughts around the business too.
In fact, Korben and Michael were just about the perfect team – both in business and in pleasure too.
The fact that the pair of them were spending so much time together meant that it was inevitable that they would move in with one another. After all, with both working such long hours it made sense that they lived together – and Michael’s house had more than enough room to accommodate Korben’s Little activities too.
It wasn’t long before Korben had taken over an old formal dining room on the ground floor and converted it into a dedicated play space for his and his fellow Little friends to enjoy – all with Michael’s approval of course.
Not only that, but Korben followed through on his idea to set up a monthly Coloring Club at his workshop and it proved to be every bit of a success as he had hoped. Soon enough, Korben was even having to consider running the club every other week to accommodate the demand from the Littles across the city.
Korben felt a huge sense of satisfaction in seeing so many Littles come to his club and meet new people. Korben was lucky to have his own tight-knit friendship group, and it felt great to watch as other new friendship groups were born thanks to his club.
Life was good for Korben, and for Michael too.
They might have had to overcome some challenges along the way, but one thing was for sure – whatever ups and downs they had both faced, Korben and Michael had come out of it much strong at the other end, both as individuals and as a Daddy and Little couple too.
Korben would always love his candy and hold a special place inside his for its sparkly, sugary colors and flavors – but as much as Korben adored candy, he would keep his Ivy League Daddy even closer to his heart.
