Chapter Five

SAHEIME

Ifelt her stir and I pulled her closer, holding her between my legs on the couch as I sat with my against the armrest. She went to turn her head and winced.

“Outside of the castle, the place where the king and queen live with their children and immediate family, there is a beautiful garden. On one side it reminds you of a mini farm. There are vegetables, fruit, and even wheat. The other side has a mixture of flowers separated by rows. Like vegetation stays together, while others are kept away from anything harmful. It’s very scenic and smells like sweet freshness.

In the center there is a bench where you can see everything in the garden.

You realize the greatness of it from there because it reaches out for acres.

But if you look to the west, you can see the castle off in the distance.

It’s a sight to remember. Then, there’s the view from my bedroom window.

It’s the reverse of that. I can see everything leading up to that bench, including the wildflowers, which are my favorite. It’s also your mating mark.”

Brooke opened her eyes to look at me. “Your favorite flower.”

“It is.”

“Mine are sunflowers.”

“Also beautiful.”

There was an urgent knock at the door.

“Cover up.”

I stood up and walked to the door. Shocked to see the head of Ω11 standing there with a worried expression on her face. I pulled on my jeans and opened the door.

“Oh my… you’re much taller in person.” She looked up at me, blushing. “Saheime, is everything okay?”

“Yes, why wouldn’t it be?” I asked confused by her being here.

“We’ve tried to call you and Brooke, but there has been no answer.” Naomi said to me.

“I don’t even know where my phone–” I thought about the last place I had it. “The van…”

“I need to see Brooke.” She said eying me. “I need to know that she’s safe.”

“She is. You can come in and see.” I opened the door wider.

A man stepped out of the shadow and came up behind Naomi.

“It’s okay, Rowan.” She said to him. “I think Saheime finally found his match, I just need to verify that she’s okay.”

“We’ll check together.” He gruffed. Half shifted, I understood the need for the wolf to protect his mate.

“Welcome.” I said to them both, opening the door wider.

“Brooke?” Naomi said when she saw her.

“Yes? You are?” Brooke was dressed in my shirt with my hoodie pulled over it.

“I’m Naomi from Ω11. You didn’t answer when I called.” She said.

“Oh gosh! I totally have no clue where my phone is either.” She looked around the shop almost as if she was trying to summon it.

“Probably in the van with mine. I carried you afterall.”

“Aah, that’s right.” She smiled at me. “I’m fine, Naomi. I didn’t mean to scare you.”

“And I see you’re mated. How did that go?” She asked, standing between us.

“A mess.” she giggled. “I didn’t recognize the signs of Saheime being my mate until my hormones had settled. “Who knew the tattoo artist was my type?” She looked around Naomi, and her eyes brightened as she smiled.

“Nothing has ever happened before today.” I admitted to Naomi. “I’ve never even been tempted.”

“I trust you, Saheime. You’ve been invaluable. Is that something that you’ll be continuing to do or do I need to look for a different safehouse?” She looked between the two of us.

“No, I’d like Omegas to still view Saheime’s shop as a safe place. It’s even safer now that he’s mated.” Brooke spoke up.

“Agreed.” I nodded. “I still want to help.”

“Alright. Well, if there’s nothing else.” Naomi looked between us.

“No.” I said.

“Nope.” Brooke second.

They left and I turned to Brooke.

“I guess we caused quite the scene.” I said.

“We did. Speaking of scene… Can you tattoo me when the heat goes away?”

I sniffed the air around us. “Not yet.”

“I know.” Brooke stripped off her clothes and motioned for me to come to her.

We spent the next three days taking care of her heat. I serviced her and made sure that she knew how much she was adored.

“It’s beautiful.” Brooke said standing in the mirror.

She was admiring her tattoo on her arm. It was a wildflower and sunflower together.

I added stems, leaves, and a vine to give it Elvish attributes.

We were outdoorsy by nature, loving everything born of the soil.

I made sure that her tattoo reflected that.

I also added elements from her mark. Curled leaves, coloring from the window view, and even the thicker stalks that kept them upright.

“I’m glad that you like it.”

“Me too. My first tattoo.” Brooke smiled. “You should get one that matches.”

“Where?” I looked at my arms that were fully inked.

Brooke lifted my shirt and spread her hands over my chest. She kissed over the left pectoral, and then looked up at me.

“Right here.”

“Alright. I’ll see what I can do.”

“When will I be able to see your mark?” Brooke asked. She’d searched my entire body even though I told her that she wouldn’t be able to see it until we went to the Elven realm.

“Actually, I wanted to take you home to meet my family. Once we’re there, you should be able to see it plainly.”

“How do we do that?” She asked.

“Well, since we’re fully mated now,” she’d also drank from my mating gland, “you should be able to travel. Also, I added protection magic into the ink when I tattooed you as an added cloak.

Brooke squealed. “When can we go?”

I laughed at her excitement. “Let me lock up in here.”

After I made sure that the shop was completely secure, and left a note for the receptionist, I was ready. I’d found something for Brooke to wear so that she didn’t scare anybody when we arrived.

I pulled Brooke into my embrace. “You have to visualize where you want to teleport to. Since you’ve never been there, I’ll do that for you.”

I held on to her tightly, not letting her go as I visualized the front lawn of the castle. Not long after, I heard birds chirping, and the nearby waterfall.

“You never said there was a waterfall!” Brooke shouted.

“I forgot.” I shrugged.

“How can you forget a waterfall? It’s literally unforgettable.”

“Saheime?” I heard my mother’s voice and immediately turned toward the garden.

“Mahmi.” I went over to her and gave her a huge hug. “How are you?”

“Wonderful.” She looked over at Brooke. “Who is this goddess?” She asked me.

“My Brooke.” I stood up taller, waiting for my mother to assess her.

“Oh, my dearest sonji. She’s breathtaking.” Mahmi moved over and pulled Brooke in for a hug. “My daughtji, welcome home.”

Brooke hugged her back just as tightly. “Thank you.”

“Oh, I can’t wait to tell your fahmi. He’s going to be so thrilled that he can retire soon. Come.” Mahmi motioned toward the castle.

“Ah, can we get her cleaned up first?” I asked.

“Nonsense. You can do that after.”

My fatmi was over the moon about meeting her. He wanted to show her off to the rest of the family but I stood my ground. We needed to clean up first, get proper clothes for Brooke, and then we could socialize.

“Why don’t you want me to meet them just yet?” Brooke asked as we walked up to my room.

“You smell like me. It’s obvious in your scent that we’ve rutted recently and you haven’t showered.”

“Oh! Is that bad?” She asked looking around, now self conscious,.

“It’s rude to parade around the evidence. You’re the next queen, they need to see you as such immediately.”

Brooke nodded, understanding.

We got to my room and when I opened the door Brooke gasped. “This isn’t a room! It’s an entire wing.”

I shrugged. I had a full staff up here that took care of me. There were three sleeping areas, a kitchen, living room, study, guest area, nursery…

“You don’t know what the definition of a room is.” She muttered as we stepped inside.

“Princere Saheime, is there something I can do for you?” Tuff asked. He commanded my area.

“This is Brooke, my mate.” I introduced her to him.

“Everybody, quiet!” Tuffy said.

The room silenced. He then kneeled at the feet of Brooke. “My queen.”

The rest of the staff followed suit.

“Thank you.” She said nervously.

“We need to find her a command.” Tuff said to me as he stood. “Clothes, hairstylist, groomswoman, and… Are you a size ten, madam?”

“How did you know?” Brooke asked.

“It’s my job. We need a shoemaker and cobbler.” He said. I looked over to see Bam taking notes as Tuff spoke.

“Very well. Let's get you two settled in.”

We showered separately because there was a team in there with her. They were probably doing her hair, nails, toes, and even shaving her.

A few hours later when Brooke walked into our room, she was even more glorious than she had been before. Her curls were radiant, her face was clean of makeup, but her face was still groomed. Her eyebrows were more profound and her lips had a little more pout to them.

“Well, that took forever.” She said as she came over and crawled into my lap.

“It did.”

“I need time to myself soon. I managed to use your things to balance me out a little, but I really need a proper nest.” Brooke sighed.

“That’s true.” I caressed her thigh. “We should handle that immediately.”

“Please. I’ve been trying to keep it together but…”

“No, wildflower. There is no more waiting. Come.” I helped her up and showed her the other door of our room. “Open it.”

Brooke opened the door and her eyes widened before she ran inside.

She looked around and then exited. She food my drawers and immediately began picking out what she wanted.

She then took the pillows off our bed that already smelled like me along with blankets.

She sniffed everything before she took them in.

Lastly, she took the shirt that I had on when we arrived and put it on the floor where she sat.

I knocked on the door, accidentally startling her.

“Yes?” She asked.

“Can I come in?”

Brooke nodded, but she didn’t look completely happy.

“What are you missing, wildflower?”

“I don’t know. It just feels incomplete.”

“Maybe I can help.” I went over to a chest and opened it. I began tossing stuffed animals her way.

Brooke grabbed them and her eyes lit up. “Why do these all smell like you?”
