Chapter 37 Rose
This slowness is making me crazy, but I can tell from the way Wes is groaning that he’s enjoying it. I’m loving teasing him and seeing the waves of pleasure on his face. He starts to get a little rougher, grabbing my arms and holding me tightly.
“I thought you said gentle?” I say in a teasing tone.
“I did, but I like this . . . is that okay?” He suddenly looks up at me, worried, I think. My gaze softens. Even after everything, he’s still worried about me and my comfort.
“Oh yeah, more than okay.” I lean down for a kiss and feel him bite my lip. I gasp, enjoying this other side of him. He starts bucking his hips against me and I match his speed as he reaches down and starts to rub my clit and it feels amazing.
Our time in the tent and in the woods were great, but this is something else. I like tender and gentle, but this is pushing me to another level.
He rubs harder and I feel myself go over the edge, and then suddenly he’s there right along with me. I melt down into him, careful not to put my weight on him as I slide to the side of the couch to catch my breath. Wes pulls his shorts up and then reaches down, rubbing my legs, bringing them to his lap.
“I’m glad we were able to talk.” Wes smirks at me. “Not just because of this—which was fantastic, by the way—but because I didn’t feel settled while things were off between us.” I sit up on my arms and Wes reaches to stroke my hair and I’m falling in love with him all over again.
“I know, me either. Thank you for coming over and pushing me to talk.” My heart feels so full and warm. How did this happen to me?
“Of course.”
“Would you like something to drink? I’m thirsty”
“Sure.” As I stand up, he gives my ass a quick slap and I can’t help but giggle.
My first stop is the bathroom to clean up. Looking myself over in the mirror, I see I have a little mark on my lip from Wes’ bite. Smiling, I think of all the ways I can make him pay for that later.
Shoving the door open, I drop my keys on the counter and turn back to hold the door open for Wes. He uses his crutches to shimmy through the door and it clicks shut behind him.
“So, this is it.” I gesture to my vaguely decorated apartment. I’ve lived here since college, but it still feels a little like I just moved in. But at least it’s a nice space for Wilfred and I. It’s close to town and my shop too, so it makes getting around easy.
“This is it.” He happily sighs, smiling as he looks around. “The famous Rose Taylor apartment.”
I start to show him around, feeling myself blush out of nowhere. It feels weird to have him in my space. Weird, but good. Seems like something that should have happened a long time ago, even though he’s only been back for less than a month. “Here’s the living room—” Wilfred squawks loudly. “And, there’s Wilfred—you’ve met him already. He might be a bit fussy with you here, but he’ll get over himself, quickly.”
Wes slowly moves over to talk to Wilfred, casually taking a treat out of his bag. “May I?” he asks coyly. I nod.
“We’ve got to figure out how to share her now buddy, you and me,” I hear him whisper.
Wilfred grabs the pellet with his claws and gobbles it up. He lets out a little yip in agreement. “And next,” I say, motioning Wes towards my room, “the bedroom.” I add a dramatic voice for effect.
“Wow, it’s so clean.” He touches the comforter like it’s a hotel.
“Of course it’s clean.” I whack him on the shoulder, gently . “Why don’t you get settled there and I can get us some food and put a movie on?” Wes slowly lowers himself onto the bed and I bring him some more pillows to help prop him up.
“Are you sure it’s okay for me to stay here? You can just take me back to my place.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it. Erick is going to be so busy with the Sprouts Fest the next few days, and I’m sure your doctors said you needed someone to help out for a while.” I flick on the TV for him and he sighs contentedly, settling himself more fully onto the bed as a rerun of Big Bang Theory captures his attention.
“Okay okay, I’ll stop protesting.”
