Cross

The summer sucked. I chose to make a point, prove something to myself, and the result was three months of torture, first in the Bahamas with a cocktail in my hand and beautiful women throwing themselves at me, then in Europe, surrounded by beauty and entertainment.

All of it was utterly lost on me, my mind fixed on her.

I checked up on her, feeding my addiction with a drip. Just a glance at her profile, at her emails, her messages once a day. But I don’t do what I want: hop into a plane and go to her.

What would be the point? Yes, I’ve watched her for an entire year now without losing interest, which I believed myself incapable of, but the chick was positively freaked by one little public blowjob.

We wouldn’t fit, given my preferences. I don’t believe my kinks, my desires, will change for a woman, and I’d just torture myself if I took part of her for a while before giving her up.

Maybe someday I’ll feel the same fascination for a woman compatible with me.

That was when I decided to take the summer away from her.

The first sight of her is like the first breath after drowning. My mind barely comprehends what I see. What is she doing at a fucking wyvern party? Why is she so fucking gorgeous? It’s not like she’s trying. She just wears jeans and a cheap satin blouse, forest green.

I suck in a breath, my eyes falling on her mouth, painted red.

Fucking red.

I make my way to her, drawn it like bee to honey. She tenses before I even open my mouth.

“As I live and breathe. Lily Trueman, here on my street.”

“Cross.” Lily says my name like it’s a curse.

I glance at the chick next to her, a nondescript blonde I barely even pay attention to. I know she’s her roommate; I’ve seen her walk into their shared dorm room plenty of times. I didn’t realize they were close though. “Want to introduce me to your pretty friend?”

Lily doesn’t like my calling Claire pretty, I can tell. Her button nose wrinkles as she grumbles, “Not particularly.”

Just to annoy her, I offer the blonde my hand. “Hector Cross. You’ll have to give me your name or I’ll call you Barbie.”

“What is it with old, unusual names in this town?” Barbie retorts. “And I’m Claire. Definitely not Barbie.”

“Well, Claire, you can blame the name on those guys.” I gesture to some of the other legacies in the lounge.

“The Kellers’ grandfather was a palaeophile, way into lost civilizations, dead languages, that type of stuff.

He called his kids Arlo, Augustus, and Marcella.

They, themselves, chose Grecian names for their kids after that.

The daughter married Eriks Goltz, the most loaded man in town.

He sets trends. So, my sheep of a mother decided to hop on the bandwagon. I just go by Cross.”

“Hector suits you,” she tells me.

I’ve heard that before. I have too much energy, and working out helps my focus, hence my musculature. It can be a little frustrating, as so many people assume I’m a dumb jock solely based on appearances, but at least the ladies like it.

“Please don’t encourage him,” Lily grunts. “His head is plenty big enough.”

I smirk, my eyes on her mouth. You know all about my big head, Lily darling.

Barbie takes Lily’s elbow and says, “We need to find Keller; he has our drinks.”

“Oh, I got it.” I hold my hands up in surrender. “No need to hold up a sign screaming I’m spoken for. No one’s going to encroach on Keller’s territory. I just wanted to see my favorite little cosplayer squirm.”

That explains what Lily’s doing here. I almost forgot that Keller sent our group message a text earlier—a simple warning none of us will ignore.

Claire Fairmont’s mine.

He didn’t need to say more, the threat was implied.

I’m not about to push those boundaries—first of all, because I’m not interested, but also because I know Keller.

He doesn’t share. He might enjoy showing, but he’s never been into swinging, not even when he isn’t into his partners.

We’re wired differently. Nothing makes me harder than watching my lovers getting raised by multiple cocks all at once.

I fucking love the feeling of entering a pussy while a hard cock fucks the asshole, making them so tight and full.

The multiple sources of friction are heavenly.

Hence why I can’t have sweet little Lily Trueman for keeps. Doesn’t mean I can’t play with her.

Barbie turns tomato red and starts to stammer. “I’m not— We’re not…”

I grin at her. Maybe Keller isn’t fucking her yet, but it’s only a matter of time and by the looks of it, she knows it.

Lily glares at me, pulling her friend toward the bar. “Come on, Claire. He’s not worth the bother, trust me.”

I only smile as I let them walk away, enjoying the view. Barbie’s in a tight short skirt, but all my attention is on the tight ass in jeans.

I want to fucking bite that ass.

I decide right here, right now, that I’m done playing it safe. I went about it the wrong way. Who fucking cares I can’t keep her?

Yes, this will run its course. We’ll go our separate ways eventually, like millions of couples who end up not working out. And that’s likely the best way to ensure I truly get over her.

Playing with my phone, I watch from a distance, smiling at the dozens of times Lily glances over her shoulder, seeking me out. She catches herself and looks down every time, before returning to her friend, but her attention remains firmly on me.

“Dude, could you be any more whipped?” Noah drawls.

“Doubt it,” I admit, making him laugh.

I’m just done with the stupid program I’m playing with when I sense Lily’s attention on me.

I smile as she marches toward me. Her hands on her hips, she narrows her eyes at me. “Why are you watching me?”

Oh, darling. If you only knew just how closely I watch you.

“I’m wondering if the proportions are right. What do you think?”

I offer her my phone, screen unlocked. She gasps in outrage just as I knew she would. “What the fuck?”

The picture is ridiculous, quite obviously manipulated. I used one of her profile pictures and let a dumb AI program undress her. The result is laughable. The body looks at least twenty years older than her face, with fake tits to boots.

“You can’t do that!” she rages, moving to delete the picture.

I snatch the phone back before she can, holding it out of range. “Maybe I should post them on the school forum, ask others to weigh in on the accuracy, huh?”

“Don’t you fucking dare, you son of a bitch.”

“Tut-tut. Watch your tongue, Lily darling.” I grin. “I could be persuaded though. Perhaps with a kiss.”

That only serves to enrage her further.

“You can’t just remove my clothes with some dumb program and post that!” she shrieks, jumping up to try to get the device. I hold it out of range. “I could sue you!”

I smirk. “You can’t afford to, darling.”

I’ve seen the state of her bank balance.

“Plus, my lawyers can take you. And let’s face it. It wouldn’t stop the world from seeing the picture.”

Not that I actually intend on doing anything with that atrocious image other than teasing her with it, but still.

“You’re vile!” she yells.

“Yeah, yeah. But you can kiss me or become the newest porn star in Thorn Falls. Up to you.” I shrug.

I’m still laughing when Barbie steps into view, hand shaking although her eyes are resolved. “You sure about that?” she says. “Because even a shitty lawyer can nail your ass after a recorded confession, not to mention some blackmail on top.”

I stare at her, quite frankly astonished by the sheer audacity of this newcomer. Like, what the fuck? This nobody who’s been here for less than a week actually threatened me with exposure, with a video taken on our turf?

Fucking hell, she’s an idiot.

I can tell she has no idea who—what—she’s dealing with, which is the only reason I don’t immediately call security to deal with her.

“Oh, isn’t this interesting?” I snort. “We have ourselves a little snitch in the house.”

I’ll have to hunt down Keller and get him to handle his woman.

Lily stiffens. “She didn’t mean it,” she assures me, before turning to her friend. “Claire, please delete that. It’s a private house; you can’t film people.”

Her outrage from earlier is gone, replaced by steel resolve, and no small degree of fear. Of me, on her little friend’s behalf.

Well, isn’t that interesting?

“Maybe he should delete that fake picture first,” the friend insists.

Fucking idiot.

“No.” She’s determined. “I’ll kiss you later,” she assures me. “Just taking my roommate home. She’s tipsy. The video will be deleted. Don’t make a fuss, understood?”

I consider. Yes, the woman fucked up, but she’s been in Thorn Falls for mere days.

Lily never made an error like this, even at the very beginning. But she did make mistake, such as assuming she could coast at Rothford her first term. She knows better now.

I decide that ultimately, handling her isn’t my problem. She’s already been spoken for. Still, I tell Lily, “Get her under control or I will.”
