Epilogue
TECH
“Jacob, no. We’re supposed to be getting dressed,” Will said as he tried pulling away from me.
“I’ll be quick,” I mumbled as I tried pulling the towel from around his waist.
I didn’t know why he came out of the bathroom dripping wet and naked, and thought he was somehow about to put on clothes. He knew exactly what he was doing.
“Jacob—”
I cut him off, smashing my lips to his. He quickly melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around my neck. Our tongues were soon tangling as I backed him to the bed. I snatched the towel from his waist and pushed him onto the bed. He was already hard as a rock.
I sank my teeth into my lip, looking over his naked body from head to toe. After all these years, he was still the sexiest thing I’d ever seen. His sex appeal only heightened every day I spent with him, which is why I always found my way inside him.
I covered his body with mine, grinding our erections together. Mine was still confined in my briefs. “You still trying to get dressed, Dimples?” I growled playfully in his ear.
His head whipped back and forth frantically. “No.” He gasped when I took his nipple in between my teeth.
“So, what do you want?” I questioned, peppering light kisses down his body. I hovered over his hardening length, making him pant.
“You. I want you, however you decide to take me,” he moaned.
A growl rumbled in my throat. He knew I loved it when he got submissive with me. Sometimes I couldn’t understand how our sexual appetites never simmered down. I had come to the conclusion that it was the effect we had on one another.
I took him into my mouth, making him cry out. Will grabbed my hair, thrusting into my mouth. I took every inch greedily. Reaching under the pillows, I blindly searched for the lube. Once I had it, I doused my fingers before sinking two inside him. It didn’t take long before he exploded in my mouth.
I made quick work of getting out of my briefs and lined myself up, sinking inside him. I swallowed his cries of pleasure, never breaking my strokes. Will wrapped his legs around my waist as our bodies moved in sync.
“Oh God! I love you, Jacob.” He moaned as I pounded him mercilessly.
I stared into his eyes, feeling my own release near. “Fuck! I love you more, Dimples!”
My thrusts became quicker and harder while I chased my release. Will moaned, taking everything I had to give him. He didn’t need to keep it down since Miracle wasn’t here. I had let Angela pick her up the day before, and she was keeping her for the weekend.
I meant it when I told her I had no problems with her remaining in Miracle’s life or keeping her on occasion. With the threat of Sire and Jocelyn out of the picture, I felt comfortable with Miracle leaving the compound.
I knew Jocelyn wouldn’t dare try coming after me again.
I hacked into her phone and read every text she sent her sister after her brothers disappeared.
She feared she was next and wanted to get away.
She was right about that, too. If Jocelyn had remained here, I would have had Cara and Sara take care of her.
Luckily, she was smart enough to get the hell out of Dodge.
One hour and another shower later, we finally stepped out of our room.
We only had one week left living here, and it was a little bittersweet.
As we rounded the corner to the living room, Oscar stood in the middle of it with his hands on his hips while he tapped his foot.
He looked like a rainbow had thrown up on him.
From his hair to his clothes, he looked like he was about to audition for a Lucky Charms commercial.
“It’s about time with y’all nasty selves. All that hollering and whatnot. For a second, I thought about coming in to make sure Tech wasn’t in there killing you.”
Will threw his head back, roaring with laughter. “Oscar, shut up. How many times do I have to tell you, you don’t have to say everything you’re thinking?”
Oscar raised his hand in Will’s face. “Whatever. All I know is if all the good spots are taken, one of you is letting me sit on your shoulders so I can see everything.”
We laughed again and followed him out the front door.
It was Pride month, and we were on our way to the parade.
I wasn’t nervous about attending, even though it was my first time.
I was actually geeked about getting there.
I was sure it was going to be a cultural shock since I hadn’t been to anything like this in my life.
When I stepped out on the porch, I froze at the sight of what was in front of me. All the brothers and their Ol’ Ladies were standing next to their bikes. I swallowed the lump in my throat when I read the shirt all my brothers had on.
They all wore plain white tees, and their shirts read Our Brother Is Queer, So We’re Here. The Ol’ Ladies’ shirts read the same, except they were rocking rainbow tie-dye shirts.
I turned to Will and Oscar, who looked equally shocked. I didn’t even need to ask if either knew about this. As I made my way to Viper, I had to take steady breaths to control my emotions. The club's unconditional support was still something I was getting used to.
“Oh, don’t get all emotional after you had us baking in this Florida heat, waiting for you two. I know y’all were probably in there humping on each other,” Cara jested, making the group crack up.
Oscar snickered, walking up to Cara. “Twin, you should have heard them. Will was—”
“Oscar!” Will scolded him with red cheeks, making the group laugh again.
Oscar dragged two fingers across his lips, mimicking that he was zipping his lips. Once the laughter died down, I turned to Viper. “What is all this, Prez?”
He raised a brow. “What does it look like? We’re here to support you.”
Moments like this, I felt so stupid for ever doubting the club.
I just wished Will could have had the same fairytale ending with his mother.
She had chosen to stay away from her own family to be with Elliot.
However, she did text Will, reprimanding him for not coming to Tabitha’s defense that night she came to the club.
I was surprised when Will blocked her number. He said it was a long time coming. I was relieved he didn’t seem upset about it. He only communicated with his grandmother and Aunt Toya these days. Will said he wasn’t going to spend any more time trying to mend his family's relationships.
Tabitha and Jeff were still together. We only knew this because Oscar knew the man Tabitha caught Jeff with.
They were still messing around, and Tabitha was still choosing to foolishly believe Jeff wasn’t into men.
I understood denial could go a long way, but this was just delusion at this point.
Either way, I didn’t care. It was their problem.
As long as neither of them tried to come for Will, I couldn’t care less.
“Thanks, Prez. This really means a lot to me,” I told him as we slapped hands.
“I told you, we’re behind you one thousand percent, Tech. I should let you know that today we’re going to ride out a little differently.”
“What do you mean?” I frowned slightly.
“Instead of me riding front and center, I decided today you would take that honor.”
My eyes bucked in surprise. “Are you serious?”
Viper nodded. “I am. So… lead the way, brother.”
As I made my way to my bike with Will, I couldn’t stop smiling. After growing up alone, I was finally part of a family. I now knew what it was like to be loved and to have a support system. I owed every bit of happiness to Will. Had I not met him, I would still be living a lie.
The love I had for him was exactly what I needed to heal the trauma of my past. It didn’t erase everything that happened, but it damn sure made life worth living now.
I had my soon-to-be husband and my daughter.
I didn’t know what the future held for me, but for once in my life, I was looking forward to it.
