IV Love #3
The Wolf Killer stared at him, large, wearing a wolf mask, carrying a wicked twelve-inch dagger in his right hand.
Walter whispered.
“Why?” he asked.
“None of your-”
“You’re murdering me,” Walter said. “I just want to know why.”
“Normally I’d apologize; they made me into this. But you, I want to fucking butcher,” the Wolf Killer said. “You, I hate with everything that I am.”
“What the fuck?” Walter asked.
“Walter. The great geek. The game master. I hate you and your games. I was so insane with rage.”
“Why?” Walter asked. “Why not just ask to join?”
“No! You were the enemy! You were always the enemy!” the Wolf Killer said.
“Thank you for telling me,” Walter said.
The Wolf Killer charged at Walter with the dagger.
Loud music turned on at that point.
Walter turned and ran.
He ran towards the stairway and tried to go downstairs, but the Wolf Killer circled around him and got to the stairway first, so Walter had to back away into a bedroom.
The Wolf Killer charged towards him.
Walter said, “Help!”
He didn’t hear an answer.
He was in a bedroom, a guest bedroom with a queen bed and a nightstand and very little else. He tried to get out the window but couldn’t open the damned window in time.
He turned to look at the killer.
He regretted nothing.
The Wolf Killer stabbed him in the stomach. He felt intense, driving pain, and he fell to the ground, looking at the blood flying out of his body.
“Damn,” Walter said. “I know who you are.”
“Fuck you!” the Wolf Killer said. “So self-righteous!”
“It’s always someone you know,” Walter said.
“Fucking loser,” the Wolf Killer said. “Did you tell anyone?”
“No,” Walter said. “Your secret is maintained for now.”
The Wolf Killer stabbed him again, this time higher up in the chest. Walter looked down to see a huge dagger entering his chest. He coughed blood. He looked up at the Wolf Killer.
Jalon looked around and couldn’t see Walter.
“Where’s Walter?” Jalon asked. “It’s his turn.” They were playing a co-op game in which they tried to save the world.
“I don’t know,” Caitlyn said. “I don’t know. I will take his turn.”
“Okay,” Jalon said.
Caitlyn grabbed a card for Walter and then passed the game along for Ai to take a turn.
Pretty soon, about twenty people stood around the open social area of the mansion - hanging out and drinking liquor and eating food. Someone had ordered pizza, the same kind that Lance usually got.
Ghostkin gently whispered to Beatrice, “We are young.” “Yes,” Beatrice whispered back.
“You should sleep with anyone you want.” “What?” Beatrice asked.
“If you want to sleep with Bailey, you should do it. I should not stop you or slow you down.” “I’m only supposed to sleep with him if you agree to do something with Alexis.” Ghostkin typed something on his phone.
“Done,” Ghostkin said. “I love you. Have fun. Live life to the fullest. I insist.”
Beatrice looked at her phone.
She texted Bailey that he had won.
She would do anything - anything - that he wanted.
He texted back: I’ll see you at Ai’s. I am at the top of the stairs.
Beatrice: should I be ready
Bailey: nothing can prepare you for me
Beatrice: um are you really that fantastic?
Bailey: yes
Beatrice: you certainly believe in yourself
Bailey: yes I am a powerful young man -
Beatrice: okay we can work with that
Bailey: you will do everything that I say
Beatrice:..no we will do what we discuss and agree to do
Beatrice walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She looked like a pixie goth girl - an angry one, one who talked a lot, one with strong opinions about things. She also looked like she had suddenly become very beautiful to people.
She knew that she was about to get fucked, hard, very soon. She thought about it. Should she turn it down? Was there a good reason to say no to this?
She couldn’t think of a reason to turn this down.
She considered that he might be a faceless jock just asking for her body. She wondered if that was what was happening here. She didn’t think so.
Or was he?
Was he a faceless jock who had a studly body and a confident attitude? Or was there something there? Did he care?
Beatrice turned around and saw Bailey, wearing khakis and a dress shirt, a couple of buttons unbuttoned at the top.
“Let’s talk,” Beatrice said.
“Of course,” Bailey said.
They walked to a bedroom and went in. It was sparse - a nightstand and a queen bed and a rug next to the window - a strangely placed rug.
“Do you care about me?” Beatrice asked.
“Yes,” Bailey said.
“Do you love me?” Beatrice asked.
“No,” Bailey said.
“Fuck you,” Beatrice said.
She kissed him.
Bailey kissed her back.
He pulled off her dress.
“I am yours eternally,” Bailey said. “We will do exactly what you want.”
An hour later they lay in bed together.
“Um,” Beatrice said. “Apparently I am yours.”
“I want to do that to you regularly,” Bailey said.
“Okay,” Beatrice whispered.
“Good,” Bailey said.
“And your girlfriend?” Beatrice asked.
“I will dump her for you, if you want.”
“Just like that?” Beatrice said. “That’s abrupt.”
“I owe you,” Bailey said.
“I suppose you do,” Beatrice said. “It’s surprising.”
“She’s very weird and troubled,” Bailey said.
