Tempest
Telling Howler about her past should have felt strange, but it didn’t.
She never told anyone about her mother dying when she was just a kid, or her father never being a part of her life—not even her sisters.
The rest of the women in the pack each had their own sad stories, and she never felt the need to bother them with hers.
But for some reason, telling Howler about her past felt natural.
He listened and didn’t judge her. And the way he looked at her and touched her made her hot.
When Howler told her about his past and shared wounds of loss with her, they forged a new, deeper connection.
The casual touches between them became more frequent and lingered longer.
Their gazes held for longer, filled with an unspoken understanding that transcended the chaos of their lives.
The Dark Chaos clubhouse, once a fortress against male influence, now felt like a crucible, refining their bond under the intense pressure of the Capitol Wolves’ escalating threat.
The next day, she woke up early and went out for a day of tracking Capitol Wolves' movements and fortifying their defenses with Moon and Chris. The city felt quieter than usual, but it was a weekend, and most of the daily grind of people getting to work on time wasn’t a factor.
“It’s quiet today,” Moon said.
“Yeah, too quiet,” Chris agreed. She looked down the long alley to the connecting road that led back to the clubhouse.
They hadn’t heard from the Capitol Wolves in days, and that was starting to worry her.
They had been a constant thorn in her side, sending daily threats against her and her pack.
She had grown to almost expect them, and when they didn’t arrive each day, she knew that something was off.
“Howler said that the Capitol Wolves have been quiet lately,” she admitted. He had sent out a few of his guys overnight, and they found the same eerily quiet streets.
“What do you think that it means?” Moon asked.
“I think that it means that something is coming—something that they don’t want us to see coming,” Tempest said. She looked around the empty street again, wrapping her arms around herself. “We should get back to the clubhouse,” she insisted.
“Agreed,” Chris breathed. “I don’t like the way things feel around here.
” Tempest agreed, although she didn’t want to tell her sisters that.
She was just happy that Moon and Chris couldn’t read her mind when they were in human form.
She needed to talk to Howler first, then she’d decide what to tell the rest of their pack.
Tempest found the clubhouse as empty as the city streets.
She decided that a hot shower sounded like heaven and made excuses to go up to her private quarters.
The weight of leadership pressed down on her, and all she wanted to do was let the hot water from the spray of the shower head wash it all away.
The fear for her pack, the threat of their enemy, and the raw, undeniable hunger for Howler swirled within her, a tempest of emotions.
She turned on the shower and started to strip when a knock at the door had her hitting pause. “Fuck,” she whispered to herself. “This better be good.”
She tugged her pants back up and walked over to the door, pulling it open to find Howler standing on the other side.
He pushed past her, walking into her room without invitation, his eyes dark and knowing.
He didn’t speak, but simply closed the door behind him, plunging the room into a more intimate dimness.
The city sounds faded, replaced by the pounding of her own heart.
He walked towards her, his movements slow, deliberate, each step a silent promise.
She didn’t move—she felt as though she couldn’t.
Her wolf was already reaching for him, a low, guttural purr vibrating through her.
He stopped before her, his hands reaching out, cupping her face, his thumbs stroking her cheekbones.
His touch was fire, igniting every nerve ending.
“I—I was going to take a shower,” she stuttered.
“You’re carrying too much,” he whispered, his voice a rough caress. “Let me help you carry it.” He kept saying that to her, and God, she wanted to let him help with her load. But what kind of alpha would that make her if she accepted his help?
Her eyes fluttered closed as his lips descended, soft at first, then demanding, claiming her mouth with a hunger that mirrored her own.
This wasn’t the explosive, challenging kiss of their first encounter.
This was deeper, more tender, yet no less potent.
It was a kiss of understanding, of shared burdens, of two souls recognizing their fated connection.
Her hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss until she was breathless.
He lifted her effortlessly, her legs wrapping around his waist as he carried her to her bed.
The world spun, a blur of desire and need.
There was no hesitation, no resistance, only an overwhelming urge to be with him.
“Howler,” she moaned as his hand slid up underneath her shirt to find her bare breast. Tempest liked her control, but for some reason, Howler made her want to lose it—all of it, to him.
Their clothes became an impediment, as her hands fumbled to remove his shirt.
The heat between them felt like primal intensity, and she wondered if she’d ever get her fill of him.
His skin against hers was rough and warm, every touch sending shivers of pleasure through her.
He worshipped her body with his hands and mouth, exploring every curve, every sensitive spot, eliciting gasps and moans she hadn’t known she possessed.
She met his passion, unleashing her own wolf as she demanded more from him, and Howler didn’t disappoint.
Their bodies moved in a timeless rhythm, a dance of power and surrender, of two alphas finding their perfect balance.
The sounds of their pleasure filled the room.
It was raw and uninhibited as Howler pressed her up against the wall, sliding into her body without asking permission.
Even if he had, there was no way that she’d deny him because it would be like denying herself something that she wanted so badly.
Each thrust, each caress, was a declaration binding their souls together.
“Tempest,” he whispered, his voice thick with desire, as he pushed her to the brink.
Howler set a punishing pace, pushing her over the edge as she found her climax.
It felt like a shattering wave crashing through her body as it left her trembling and utterly sated.
He followed moments later, his seed spilling deep inside her as he found his own release.
A guttural roar escaped his chest that echoed her own.
They collapsed onto the floor, a mesh of tangled bodies, and Tempest wasn’t sure where she ended, and he began.
They lay entangled, limbs intertwined, the scent of their lovemaking heavy in the air.
Tempest felt a peace she hadn’t known was possible, and a profound sense of belonging.
With Howler, she wasn’t just the President or the Alpha.
She was simply Tempest, loved and cherished, her wild heart finally finding its home.
But even in the afterglow of sex, the reality of their situation lingered.
The war against the Capitol Wolves was far from over.
Their shared intimacy had deepened their bond, but it also raised the stakes.
Now, they fought not just for their pack, but for their future, for the fragile, fierce love that had blossomed between them.
And Tempest knew, with a certainty that settled deep in her bones, that she could face any threat, endure any hardship, as long as Howler was by her side.
