Chapter 17 Hailey
Hailey
“Ithink I might be dead,” I said dreamily. “I’m dead and have gone to heaven.”
I felt Tori’s lips move against my pussy as she smiled. “Had fun, did you?”
She sounded pleased with herself. To her credit, she deserved to be.
With great effort I pushed up onto my elbows. “Fun? I can’t feel my legs. If my heart rate increases any more, I might have a stroke.”
She slid up my body, pressing a quick kiss on my lips. “Don’t stroke out,” she said. “That would totally ruin the mood.”
I huffed out a surprised laugh. Having sex with Tori wasn’t just mind-altering pleasure, I realized. It was also fun.
“I fully intend to return the favor,” I said. “As soon as I can breathe again.”
Tori threw her legs over mine and set her head on my shoulder, hugging me close. “Take your time.”
Who would have figured that she was a snuggler? That was a pleasant surprise.
It only took a few seconds before I knew I wanted more. Needed more. I had the strongest desire to give her as much pleasure as she’d given me. I sensed that she needed it as much as I did. Not just the release, but the intimacy.
“Get on your back,” I ordered, giving her shoulder a gentle push.
“Oh, are you going to get bossy now?” she teased, rolling over.
Unlike my breasts that listed to the side a little when I laid on my back, Tori’s remained front and center, the nipples pointing straight up. Her breasts felt natural though, not plastic like I would have expected.
I reached up to tweak one nipple, watching it harden under my attention, then gave the same treatment to the other before crawling up her body on my hands and knees.
I lowered down enough to give her a long, deep kiss that left us both breathless, then scooted down her body and pushed her legs apart, as wide as they would go.
Unlike my natural look, Tori was waxed, leaving only a little triangle of hair at her apex.
I pressed a kiss to the spot, thinking it must be exhausting to always be changing one’s body to fit some artificial standards.
Settling on my belly at the bottom of the bed, I slid her legs over my shoulders and used my fingers to spread her open.
“Such a pretty pussy,” I said, admiring the glistening pink folds.
Then I winced. “Sorry, that sounded so corny.”
“I didn’t mind,” she said breathlessly. “No one’s ever said that to me before.”
I huffed out a breath, making her shiver, then licked my way slowly from her bottom to the top. She was dripping wet, and I lapped up her arousal as I continued exploring her folds. It tasted sweet, maybe a little bit salty.
After a few minutes Tori’s hand came to my head, pulling the strands to direct me to her clit.
I chuckled. “Eager, are we?”
“I’m literally going to die if I don’t come soon,” she said dramatically.
“We can’t have that,” I teased.
I circled my tongue around her opening, then licked my way inside, fucking her with my tongue while I used my thumb to circle her clit.
I pressed against the little button, adding pressure while I continued teasing her with my tongue.
I could have done that all night, but Tori’s inner muscles were trembling, telling me she was close.
I caught her clit between my fingers, giving her a firm pinch, and it was enough to make her lose control. She bucked against my face, her thighs pressed almost painfully against my head, with my name on her lips like a prayer.
I’d never felt so powerful in my life.
I continued to stroke her until the aftershocks subsided and her body went slack. Then I grabbed the blanket from the bottom of the bed, and brought it over us, snuggling on the pillow next to a shell-shocked looking Tori.
“Are you okay there?” I asked.
“I think maybe we both died,” she said, referencing my earlier comment. “Because the way I feel right now, it’s what I imagine heaven feels like.”
I fell a little bit more in love with her at that moment.
She lifted her head to give me a sweet kiss before releasing a long, sigh. “I am going to sleep very well tonight.”
We both did.
Over the next thirty-six hours we made love so many times I lost count.
By the time I needed to go to work Monday morning I could hardly walk.
I had bites on my neck, my breast, and my inner thigh, and an unfortunate bruise on my ass from where we rolled off the bed during a particularly vigorous lovemaking session.
And that’s what it was too – lovemaking, not just having sex.
We’d had an incredible weekend together, but real life was coming at us fast. As the weekend wore on, Tori was receiving increasingly urgent messages from her mother, her agent, and her publicist, wondering about her whereabouts.
Her assistant Pepper warned her late last night that her chief bodyguard had launched an investigation, trying to track her down himself.
“Pepper says her telling people I’m fine and just laying low for a few days isn’t enough. They want proof of life.”
“You can’t hide out forever,” I’d reminded her.
“I know,” she’d said sadly. “But I was hoping for at least a few more days.”
On Monday I left Tori asleep in my bed and headed down to Daily Jolt for my six a.m. shift. Normally the early hour didn’t bother me, but I hadn’t gotten a lot of sleep last night, thanks to the insatiable actress who’d invited herself to stay at my apartment.
When I went up on my lunch break Tori was waiting for me with a huge smile. “I made you lunch,” she said proudly.
I looked at the plates set up on the table. Peanut butter sandwiches were cut into squares, with sliced apples making a circle around the bread. A salad sat in a large bowl in the center of the table, a tube of Pringles next to it.
I loved the way it echoed the first things I fed her when she arrived Friday. I also loved that she hadn’t tried to cook. The woman had no idea what she was doing in the kitchen.
“This is awesome,” I said. “Thank you.”
“This might sound weird,” Tori said. “But can we order a pizza tonight? With pepperoni? I never have pizza.”
“Whatever you want,” I promised. “I can happily eat pizza every day.”
“At least we can have one more quiet night before the real world intrudes on us.”
But as it turned out, the real world was closer than she thought.
Right at the end of my shift, two hulking men in black tactical pants, boots, and black tee shirts walked into Morning Jolt like they owned the place.
I knew immediately they were Tori’s bodyguards. No one in Seattle dressed like that.
I slipped behind the pastry display while they approached my coworker, Hannah.
“Ma’am, we’re looking for Victoria Cross. Have you seen her?”
Hannah’s eyes got huge. “The movie star? Why would she be here at Morning Jolt? Is she filming a movie nearby.”
I slipped my phone out of my pocket, texting Tori. I was glad that we’d exchanged phone numbers at some point this weekend. When I looked up, one of the men was staring at me suspiciously, like he knew I was alerting his prey that he was here.
My phone beeped.
Tori: Tell them that the sparrow went outside.
I stared at my phone in confusion.
Tori: They’ll know that means to wait outside for you. You might as well bring them up. They’ll tear this place apart until they find me.
Tori: Whatever happens next, I’m so sorry.
I looked up at the aggressive looking giant who was staring at me. “The sparrow went outside.”
His eyes narrowed, then he gave me a chin tilt and exited the store, the other man in his wake.
“What is going on?” Hannah asked curiously. “Who are those guys?”
“I’ll tell you later. Do you mind if I clock out fifteen minutes early?”
“Go ahead,” my coworker said. “It’s quiet now anyway.”
I hung up my apron, grabbed my bag, then went out the front door to where the men were waiting.
“This way.”
They glowered at me but followed me around the building and up the stairs. When I opened the door, Tori was sitting at my kitchen table, looking miserable. As soon as the men entered the kitchen, her face smoothed into an emotionless mask.
“Hey Rick. Steve. How you guys doing?”
They didn’t seem to move, but in an instant they were at her side, blocking me from view.
“Everyone’s been worried about you, Miss Cross. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, Rick. I’m sorry I gave you guys the slip, but I needed a break.”
The man looked around with obvious distaste. “But what are you doing in this… place?”
“This is my friend Hailey’s place,” she said firmly, inclining her head in my direction. “She’s been a great hostess during my visit.”
Rick sent me another suspicious look before turning back to Tori.
“You need to get back to L.A.,” Rick said. “Your mother is going crazy. So is everyone else.”
“You work for me, not my mother,” she reminded him. “And I’ve been in contact with Pepper. I’m an adult for God’s sake.”
“Whatever you’ve been doing here, it’s not safe,” Rick said. “You know this. We haven’t even done a security sweep on this place. Or a background check on your… friend.”
Tori sighed. “I’ve been fine here.”
“Until someone hears where you are, then the shit will hit the fan. Remember that time you went to the Farmer’s Market in disguise? You were almost mobbed when people figured out who you are.”
Tori’s eyes looked bleak, even though her expression stayed neutral.
“I’ll head back tomorrow morning. Thanks for coming.”
“You can’t stay here any longer,” Rick said, his tone brooking no argument. “There are too many risks to manage.”
She stood up to her full height, giving him a glare that would freeze fire. It was magnificent.
“I’ll head back tomorrow. You’re welcome to stay outside if you’re worried, but I will have one more night with… with my friend.”
“Very well Miss Cross. We’ll set up in the alley.”
The guys exited my apartment without another word, clearly unhappy with how that had gone. Tori dropped into her chair, looking like she lost her best friend.
“Are you okay?” I went to her side, putting my hand on her shoulder.
She shook her head. “I knew our perfect little bubble here would burst, I just didn’t think it would happen so fast. That Rick is too good at his job.”
“Well, you invited yourself to stay one more night, right?” I asked teasingly, trying to lighten the mood even though I felt like crying myself.
“Yeah.”
“Well, we’d better order some Lactaid then. We have a lot of pizza to eat before you go back to L.A.”
