TEN
Henry, Alex, and Finley emerged from the house through the back door and joined the group sitting in camping chairs. Alex’s face was clean. Alex fished a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, lit one, and passed it to Henry. Henry held up the pack and offered one to Finley, who waved it away.
“Really,” Jason said, deadpan, from the other side of the fire. Finley shrugged.
“Surprise to me too,” Finley said.
