12. Khaleya #2

I don’t know why the thought of him doing anything with that raggedy hoe pissed me off further. Myheir chuckled, only pissing me off further.

I stopped walking and crossed my arms.

“Doll, the car is out front.”

I glanced over my shoulder and shrugged before looking back at him.

He had released a few buttons on his shirt and pulled his jacket from his shoulders to put over me.

I didn’t think twice about it as I slipped my arms in.

The breeze from the door let me know it definitely wasn’t as warm as it had been earlier.

“No, I haven’t fucked that girl. She just likes to start shit. But I enjoy knowing you care,” he said, then cupped my chin briefly.

I rolled my eyes. “I don’t care. I just feel like I should know these things if you’re going to have people talking to me crazy.”

Myheir held out his hand for me to take, which I obliged, and allowed him to walk me outside to the car. The driver already had the door open, so I slipped inside first, and he followed suit.

I was going to sit across from him, but he caught my waist and pulled me back down beside him.

“Aren’t you tired of pretending?” I asked.

He widened his legs and got comfortable beside me, then placed his arms across the back of the seats. Then he ran his tongue over his lower lip, while looking at me intently. I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t. I needed to hear him tell me this wasn’t real. I needed a real reminder.

Myheir reached out and cupped my chin before leaning forward, but not touching my lips just yet.

“I haven’t been pretending all night. You’re the realest person I’ve come across in a long time. I don’t think I can let you go. Tell me you feel it too, and I’ll rip that damn contract to shreds.”

I wanted to tell him I didn’t feel it, to preserve and protect what was left of me. But I couldn’t. I closed the distance between us. My arms wrapped around his neck, and I climbed into his lap.

I kissed him like he was the key to my next breath. His hands explored my curves as much as the thick fabric would allow.

“That wasn’t an answer, Doll. Tell me what you want,” he groaned, as he began sucking and nipping along the length of my neck.

I moaned, needing more. If he wanted words, I didn’t have those for him, not now. Myheir pulled at the edges of my dress until his hands disappeared beneath the fabric and found the lace covering my soaked lips.

“Don’t let me take the answer from your body, Doll. Because if I go off of her, I’m going to make sure we catch a storm in this muthafucka. Do you want that, Doll? You need me to stroke this pussy?” he asked.

My head fell back as I bit my bottom lip, still unable to respond.

I moaned and nodded. His finger began strumming my clit, then took a dip into my soaked center, and returned to my pearl.

Soon he inserted another finger, and my hips bucked, needing more.

I rode his fingers with reckless abandon until I cried out, drenching the front of his pants.

I hadn’t noticed until now that the limo was no longer moving and the driver was no longer in the car. The realization caused my eyes to widen and my cheeks to warm. He probably heard us back here. My mother would be so damn ashamed. Essentially, I just fucked my boss. I climbed from his lap.

“I’m so sorry. I don’t know what got into me—well, outside of your fingers. But, oh my gosh. I promise I’m not usually like this. Uh, I need to get inside. Thank you for tonight.”

I quickly opened the door and practically almost tripped trying to get out of the car.

“Khaleya, allow me to walk you to your door. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, Doll,” Myheir said to my back.

I chanced glancing over my shoulder to see him trying to get out and come after me. I held my hand out to stop him.

“Please allow me some time to think. Thank you again for a great night. Just give me some time,” I pleaded.

He nodded, letting me know he heard every word I was afraid to say. This was not supposed to go like this. We just started this shit. How was my heart so damn invested in a man we hadn’t spent more than a few dates with? It was way more than I’d spent with any other man.

I quickly got up my steps and let myself into the apartment. Da’ana was on the couch watching the same damn movie she always did, Two Can Play That Game. She turned around with a raise of her brow. Whatever question she had about the state of my dress was stuck in her throat.

But I knew it wouldn’t be for long, so I made a beeline for my bedroom. The moment I stepped inside, I stopped in front of the mirror on my closet door. I was still as beautiful as I’d been earlier, but even I could tell the old Khaleya wasn’t present.

A knock sounded at my door. I didn’t need to ask who it was.

“Come in.”

Da’ana stepped inside and plopped down onto the edge of my bed.

“What happened?” she asked.

“I might have made a mistake agreeing to do this. My heart is beyond confused, and clearly his is, too. He doesn’t know me enough to want to make this thing real.”

Da’ana stilled, and a slow smile spread across her face. I rolled my eyes, knowing where this was getting ready to go.

“I knew this would happen. In every romance book I’ve read with the fake dating trope, the couple always realizes this can be real. But I need you not to be hardheaded like the heroines in the books. They waste so much damn time worried about a damn deal neither party is concerned with.”

I pointed to the zipper behind me, so she stood and unzipped my dress.

“First, I need you to realize this shit is real. It’s real life, and nothing like those damn books you write or read. So be serious for a second. Money is and was on the table. Real money! Now suddenly he is ready to just tear the contract up—”

Da’ana held her hand up to stop me, her smile only annoying me further.

“Wait, so… he offered to tear up the contract and make this real?” she asked.

“Yes, but the man had two fingers in my pussy. He would say anything in that moment!” My hand shot up to my mouth as I realized what I’d said aloud.

Now Da’ana was full-blown dancing like she was just told she’d won a million dollars. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the dress, then laid it across the bed. I walked into my connected bathroom and turned on the shower.

“If you’re going to play around all day, let yourself out, Da’ana,” I shouted from the bathroom.

“Don’t get mad at me because you let that man play in your honey pot.

Now you need to know what it’s really about over there.

You might as well give that man a shot. What does it really hurt?

Don’t answer that now. Think about it, and I’ll be in the living room with a glass of wine with your name on it. ”

I waited until I heard the door close behind her. Then I stripped out of my clothes and stepped under the water. I closed my eyes briefly to think about what I should do.

I’ve always wanted a connection like this with someone, but it wasn’t just about a connection. Essentially, I’d have to leave everything associated with the deal behind. Stamped by Khaleya would stay where it was until I could get the money to go further.

Could I choose a possible temporary feeling over a dream I’d worked my ass off for?
