Chapter 36

Thario couldn't believe his luck. Calla was amazing. It wasn't just her body that he liked. It was how loving she was toward him. She accepted him as he was. Maybe because he'd been rejected so many times, this felt even more special.

“You are beautiful,” he whispered.

“I want to see all of you.”

She hadn’t rejected him so far, so he might as well just go all in. If she reacted negatively, he would rather know now.

She stood while he removed his leg and then his pants, leaving his underwear on.

Her gaze raked over him, then she crawled onto the bed and kissed his lips before trailing kisses down his body.

A part of him wondered if this was real.

Was this amazing woman really loving on him even though he was damaged?

As she kissed lower, his dick hardened even more. If she didn’t stop, he was going to blow. But maybe that wouldn’t be too bad. He didn’t want to push intercourse on her. She wasn’t ready for that, even if she seemed ready.

Her hand trailed up his leg, and she hesitated with her lips just below his belly button and her hand on his thigh.

His cock jumped, and he glanced down, seeing a smile play over her lips. She moved her hand first, grazing lightly over his balls. A gasp exploded from his lips, and she looked up, meeting his gaze.

“You touching me feels so good.”

“Do you want me to touch you more?”

“Please.”

“Can you take off your underwear?”

He nodded and remove his underwear. The feel of the cloth grazing over his dick almost made him come.

He lay back and was shocked when her tongue pressed on the base of his dick before she licked all the way up.

“Oh fuck. I can’t—“ He couldn’t get the rest out as he came.

He was gasping for breath after his balls emptied. He opened his eyes and saw her looking down at him in wonder.

Their gazes met, and she moved up his body so their lips were almost touching.

“Was that good?”

“Yes. I love feeling you against me.”

She snuggled against him, resting her head against his shoulder, and sighed.

“That felt good,” he whispered against the side of her head.

“Next time, I want to try to have sex.”

He smiled to himself. “You know, what we did was sex.”

She went up on one elbow. “I mean the other stuff.”

“Intercourse? Yes, we’ll get there, eventually. I just don’t want to hurt you.”

She shrugged. "From what I read in the books my mom had, it's part of it."

He shrugged. “It doesn’t have to be super painful.” He pulled her down beside him and kissed the side of her head. “We can take it slow and get you ready before we actually have intercourse. I want you to experience pleasure every time we have sex.”

He felt her body shiver, and she went up on one elbow. “You touching me while you were licking me, that felt amazing. I can’t imagine anything feeling that good.”

His laughter filled the room. “I’ll take that as a challenge and see how much better I can make it for you.”

She smiled down at him, her gaze full of love. This woman looked at him like she really cared. He wasn’t going to ruin this. She deserved a good man, and he was going to give her so much love she could feel it deep in her bones.

Calla couldn’t believe being with Thario was so good. When it came time for her to leave, she didn’t want to go, but they weren’t at the point of living together, yet.

Elowen didn't say anything about her goofy smile or how distracted she was, which was nice of her. She had little doubt that it was obvious that she and Thario had connected.

After dinner, Griz took Knuckles out for a run. Elowen brought over a mug of tea for her and sat beside her.

“So, you and Thario.”

Calla's face heated. "Yeah, Thario."

“I would be remiss if I didn’t talk about protection. Like maybe you should get on the pill or something.”

Heat flashed through her whole body, and she ducked her head. "I don't know."

“I think it would be wise.”

"You're probably right. I haven't had sex, and I should protect myself."

Elowen nodded. “I want you to think about it, and I can drive you to the pharmacy tomorrow to pick up the pill.”

Calla was surprised. "You mean I can get on it without a doctor's appointment?"

Elowen nodded. “Yes. You can look up information and think about it before we go.”

"Thank you. You're right. I've been out of the loop for so long, I didn't really think about birth control."

"Don't have sex without a condom for now.

I love Thario, and I know he's a good man now, but he was a playboy for years.

He did things that he shouldn't have, and you can't ignore the fact that he used women for sex.

You have to protect yourself. My warning doesn't mean that I don't like you being with Thario, but until you know him better, always insist on a condom. "

Elowen reached into her pocket and pulled out a couple of small packages. Calla heated again.

“Condoms?”

"Yes. And I'll buy a box and put them in your bathroom. That way, you can have access to them whenever you need them. I just don't want you to end up regretting sleeping with Thario."

Calla nodded. She felt weird talking about this with Elowen, but her experience level was zero. She needed someone looking out for her.

“Thank you. I know this probably wasn’t a conversation you wanted to have.”

Elowen shrugged. “I’m fine. I just want to make sure you’re fine, and you aren’t very experienced.”

Calla snorted a laugh. “The most experience I have is reading my mom’s books. So no, I’m not experienced at all.”

Elowen chuckled. "I mean, books can help, but some books are unrealistic. Just be careful. Thario is a great guy, but you need to look after yourself."

Calla took a sip of the tea and nodded. “Thank you for talking to me about this. I want something special with him. I feel like we could really have something.”

“I’m sure you could. Just take it slow, and be smart.”

Elowen's words seeped through Calla as she drifted off to sleep. When she woke, she knew she had to get on the pill. They were going to have sex soon.

After a quick shower, she headed in for breakfast. Only Elowen was in the kitchen along with Knuckles.

Calla glanced around before speaking. “Is Griz here?”

“No, he had to go into town for something.”

"Oh. So I was thinking, and yes, I need to get on the pill. If you could take me, that would be great."

“Okay. How about some breakfast, and then we can drive into town and swing by the pharmacy?”

Calla blew out a breath. “Thank you. This is weird.”

“I know. But you have me and loads of other women to help you. I know you didn’t spend much time in town with the rest of the women, but you’ll get to know them. They are good people.”

Calla didn’t know what to think. Because of Brent, the number of friends she’d had as a child was low. He’d always seemed to make life difficult when she was younger.

Having women around who would be there for her was so odd. She still wanted to find her sister. Maybe she would get Thario to help her look.

Getting the stuff in town wasn't so bad. After she finished at the pharmacy, she texted Thario, and he asked her to stop by.

When they pulled up, he was outside with his dogs. Elowen got out of the car and came around to pet both dogs.

Hope seemed very happy to see them. She was on a leash so she couldn’t run out with Frog, but she did dance around.

Elowen gave Thario a quick hug. “Hey, how are you doing?”

“Good. I’m settling in.”

“That’s good.”

“I can drive Calla home later.”

“Why don’t you stay for dinner? I know Griz would be happy if you did.”

Thario glanced at her, and she nodded before he answered. She liked that he checked with her, though it wasn't necessary.

After Elowen left, Thario led her inside, and they went to the backyard to let Hope run around for a bit.

Thario put his arms around her and pulled her close. “How are you?”

She leaned in, liking how close they were. “Good. Better since getting here to be with you.”

“I feel the same.”

His lips on her felt amazing, and it wasn’t long before they ended up in his room again. She didn’t bring up the birth control or the condoms, but they didn’t have intercourse, so it wasn’t needed yet.

After they pulled on their clothes again, they moved to the computers to look for Brent. Before she started typing in a search, she sat back and stared at Thario.

“Something wrong?” He asked.

“No, I just think I should look for my sister.”

Thario nodded. “Sure. You can type in her name and see what you come up with. There might not be any information, or you could end up with loads of stuff on her.”

Calla nodded and started typing. Almost automatically, something popped up on the screen.

Thario glanced up and then came around to her. “Everything okay?”

“Yeah. I think I found her. I have a phone number for her. What should I do?”

“Call.”

She pulled out her phone and stared at it for a moment before punching in the numbers. She held her breath, waiting for the line to click, indicating someone had answered.
