Chapter 23

Charlie

I got up, made myself something to eat and took a shower.

I tried to go back to sleep after that, but I slept so good during the day that sleep is completely eluding me now.

Which left me plenty of time to think about what happened between Max and I, and then subsequently Andy and me.

Am I really the kind of girl that would sleep with more than one guy at a time?

Well … I guess I am because that already happened.

And like, I know polyamory is a thing, but I guess I just never imagined myself in a situation like that.

It just doesn’t happen to girls like me.

Honestly, it was hard enough finding one guy to screw me and the thought of having two, insanely attractive men wanting me at the same time seems laughable.

And yet here I am. Recently fucked by two incredible guys who seem to think that I am the most gorgeous girl they have ever seen.

They’re delusional, but who am I to argue?

This is the kind of situation that women write novels about and it would be an insult to romance readers everywhere to not take full advantage.

The hours ticked by, slowly but surely. Eventually, it was time to get up and get ready for my …

double date? What do I even call this. Either way, Andy sent me a text this morning telling me to wear something ‘comfortable, but accessible.’ I know what he was getting at but not really how to execute it, so I opt for a pair of leggings, and an oversized sweater overtop a bralette.

I like this sweater because it hides most of my jiggly bits but after everything that has happened this weekend, I find myself looking in the mirror trying to see what the guys see.

I guess I get it. Sure, I’m a little heavier. But my body is proportionate to my size. And I have GREAT legs. All that walking I did down in Van (driving was a nightmare) gave me toned, beautiful muscles. I’m curvy at my hips and have long luscious hair.

Still wish I had bigger tits though ...

I hear a shuffling outside and look out the window.

Max and Andy are heading up to the front door and for some reason Ben is here too.

He stays by Max’s truck, and I watch him pull out a snow shovel.

Seriously dude? It barely snowed. I am going to have to talk to him again about the driveway. He really doesn’t need to do it.

I bound down the stairs and open the front door to Max and Andy who didn’t even get the chance to knock. “Hi,” I breathe.

They both smile warmly at me. “Hi gorgeous, you ready to go?” Max pushes Andy to the side and steps into the entry way.

“Yep. Just gotta get my boots on. Please tell me we are getting pizza from Tony’s.”

“Of course we are!” Andy has pushed himself into the entryway now as well. “It’s the only place in town that has decent pizza.”

“Amen to that. Is Ben seriously shovelling the driveway?”

Max sighs and Andy chuckles. “He insisted on coming just so he could check and see how bad it was. Even though he didn’t bother doing our driveway this morning because there’s barely a centimetre of fresh snow. Like somehow your place was going to be any different.”

Once my boots are on, we all head out the door and I lock it quickly before walking over to Ben in the driveway. “Good morning, Ben!”

“Mornin’.”

“You really don’t have to do that. It barely snowed.” He’s actually already almost done. Damn, he’s fast.

“I got this firefly, don’t you worry about it.”

Huh? Why would he call me firefly?

Ben finishes up while the rest of us pile into the truck. Max is driving, and Andy joins me in the back seat leaving the front seat for Ben. He throws the shovel into the back of the truck, and then we’re on our way to Tony’s.

“So do you know what movie you want to watch sweetheart?” Andy scooches himself into the middle seat, so he can put his arm around me.

“I have to decide? I don’t even know what kinds of movies you guys like to watch.”

“Why does it matter what we like to watch when you’re the one who gets to pick, gorgeous?” Max asks from the front.

“Well, it should at least be something that we all have a chance at enjoying.”

“I’m just excited to hang out with you. I don’t give a shit what we watch,” Andy says matter-of-factly.

“Fine. Super sad romance movie it is.” I’m joking, but Andy and Max both say sure at the same time, and Ben just grunts.

When we get to Tony’s, Andy is just going to head inside to grab the pizza’s quick, but I decide to hop out with him to go say hi. For some reason, this prompts Max to get out of the truck too, leaving Ben by himself to keep the heat going.

I head in first, and Tony greets me with his usual, “Charlie girl! Good to see you.”

“Hi Tony! How are you?”

“I’m doing great, but I don’t think I have an order for you hon.”

“It’s under Max,” Max interrupts.

Tony’s eyes light up. “So, I see you met Max, Charlie!”

“Sure did! And got that job at the rink too. And this is Andy,” I add, pointing behind me.

“Glad you made some friends while you are up here. You boys gotta convince Charlie to stay up here with us!”

I look back at Andy, who is grinning mischievously. “Working on it!”

Tony laughs. “Alright, gimme one second, I will be back with your order.”

“Didn’t realize you knew Tony, Charlie.” Max leans against the wall of the small pizza shop, facing me.

“Pfft, dude, everyone who grew up here knows Tony! He might as well be the mayor.” Andy wraps his arm around my shoulder as I look between them.

Andy isn’t wrong though. Everyone knows Tony. He’s been a prominent member of the community since my mom and dad were kids. But given his ‘free-time activities’ I doubt he could ever be the mayor. But we’re supposed to pretend we don’t know about those.

“Yeah, I know Tony,” I say, responding to Max. “Friday night pizza was a staple in my house until I left for college.”

“Yep. I remember little Charlie and her pigtails coming in with her parents every week. She’s like family to me,” Tony chimes in, returning with the order. “You boys better be treating her well.”

“Of course, sir.” Max steps towards the counter to pay.

“I mean it. Charlie is important to me, and if she comes over here crying over one of you punks there will be hell to pay.”

I laugh. “Tony, there’s no need for the threats! They are both perfect gentlemen, believe it or not.”

I hear Tony mumble something to Max about it being a promise not a threat as he hands Max the pizza. Max just nods and says, “I understand.”

“Bye Tony! Thanks for the pizza!” I shout as we’re out the door and back into the truck.

“Holy fuck, that dude is scary.” Andy murmurs once we’re driving again.

“Well, he is the closest thing this town has to a mobster.” Ben grumbles from the front seat.

“You’re really friends with him Charlie?” Max asks.

“Yeah! He’s been around for as long as I can remember. He’s a good friend of my family.”

“Damn. Remind me to never get on your bad side!” Andy teases.
