23. Ride
Chapter twenty-three
Ride
NOAH
Ilied to Damian and my mom. I didn’t go to school.
I didn’t know why I went back to the bar where it all began, but I did. My feet sort of just led me there on their own. I could’ve gone anywhere. Farther from home to get some drugs, maybe. But I didn’t.
I drank some while I was there. Not as much as I usually did. Five shots to my normal ten or more.
Was this progress? I chuckled inwardly.
I was about to walk back down the street when I saw the car turn onto the road.
It was a Rolls Royce. The color of the car reflected the sun’s rays with a brilliant, white shine that contrasted with a black top.
It looked to be the newest model, a Phantom maybe, I considered, admiring the black on white trims and metallic rims. Then it occurred to me, a car like this, could only be used for chauffeuring a certain type of person.
I smiled and leaned against the bar wall, crossing my arms. I felt a rush beginning to form in my head. This is about to get good, I thought.
I watched as the car approached at a normal speed, continuing past me as though I were nothing special.
The Royce hadn’t gone more than a couple yards before it screeched to a halt and sat motionless in the middle of the street.
I remained in my current position, smirking at the sound of fellow cars honking their indignation.
The back lights flashed in reverse, and the car began the slow process of backing up to where I stayed.
When the rear window was mere feet away from me, the engine was cut. I couldn’t see anything, thanks to the tinted exterior, but I knew there was a face inside, looking out at me.
SILAS
Each morning was becoming more and more difficult to wake up. The pressure, the stress. Jace needed me to be the face of Pinnacle. This was fine. I was good at business. Politics even. But if I couldn’t get my head right on the tasks at hand, I was going to fail.
I couldn’t get anything organized for the meetings I had before me. My thoughts were plagued with Noah. I couldn’t get him out of my head.
And who else was in there?
That stupid red head.
I was sure she fucked Noah before I did, which caused a fire of jealousy to burn deep in my chest. I should’ve controlled myself rather than called her residence, but I allowed rage to guide my actions instead.
No matter. I hoped my message had gotten my point across clearly: Noah is off limits.
I hope she was so scared, she never even thought about his name again.
I had to admit his actions were admirable when he helped her.
Noah the Savior. Who would have thought?
The way he composed himself in the alley, holding his own against my two cousins, remaining relatively level headed despite his anger and intake.
Had this been fifteen-year-old Noah, I was sure he would have thrown several punches before his target even knew he was pissed.
He showed restraint now. Which delighted me. It made me want to get under his skin even more. I loved making him uncomfortable.
Noah had been avoiding me since our last phone call. Not a single text. And you know what? Fine. I wasn’t going to text or call him either. I wouldn’t be the one to initiate a chase.
What’s that saying? Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or some shit?
That’s what I’m going to do. Wait it out.
My cock twitched in my pants just recalling his sweet little moans through the phone. Him pretending I wasn’t keen on the chemistry between us. I knew he had the same fire inside of him now. And I just knew he obeyed when I told him to finish. Like a good boy.
To be honest, I thought fucking him would take away this edge—this desire I’ve had burning in me for a while now, but never acted on it. Now, I’ve had him. I’d claimed Noah. I’ve tasted his skin and his mouth.
Next, I want to taste his cock, I considered.
I balled my hands into tight little fists. I was going to work myself up before I even made the stupid fucking seminar. I would be leading the meeting with a raging hard on if I didn’t just quiet the incessant ramblings in my head.
It didn’t help that we were about to pass the alley where we first kissed.
Noah didn’t know this, but that night he had taken me so completely off guard, he could’ve asked anything of me, and I would’ve done it. I gazed out the window. Just picturing him pressed against that brick wall…
My breath caught in my throat.
“S-Stop the car.” The words were mere whispers. Did I even form words at all?
“Excuse me, sir?”
“I said, stop the fucking car!”
My driver slammed on his breaks.
“Back up,” I ordered.
“Mr. Thorne, we are on a busy street.”
I reached forward, gripping the back of the headrest. “I don’t give a fuck. I said, back the car up. Put it in reverse.”
We began the slow process of reversing the Royce. Cars honked. I didn’t give two shits.
Because there he was.
Noah.
Poised against the wall like a perfect little trophy.
My trophy.
He was smiling like he’d known I’d stop traffic to get back to him. And he was right.
I couldn’t fucking wait to taste that perfect little smirk on his lips.
NOAH
I pushed myself up from the wall and made my way to the closed window.
I waited.
A sharp sound filled my ears as the window began to roll down, revealing the face I knew I’d see.
“Why, if it isn’t my good friend, Mr. Hansen.” Silas grinned wickedly from the other side of the glass. “Need a ride?”
I sighed and tapped my finger against my cheek, pondering his offer just a tad over dramatically. “If it’s not too much trouble? I think I might be lost.”
The lock by the window popped upwards and the door opened automatically, revealing a professionally dressed Silas Thorne.
He had to be on his way to something important.
From head to toe, he adorned a suit and tie, crisp white button up with a perfectly pressed collar that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on.
In his jacket pocket was a neatly folded satin cloth. I was ready to ruin it all.
“No trouble at all,” he said lightly, scooting over to the seat behind his driver.
I crawled in, admiring the leather finishings in the vehicle.
The car was exceptional, luxurious and spacious.
Enough room for fucking, I thought wildly.
Silas reached over me, intentionally crossing in front of me with his chest, his breath and his smile wisping past my own, to press the button that closed the door behind me.
“Thank you, Mr. Thorne. I know this must take time out of your busy schedule,” I said, gazing up at him with need.
The driver glanced backwards in the mirror, eyeing me suspiciously.
“Of course not, Mr. Hansen. It’s no trouble at all.” Silas returned to his seat.
“Where to, Mr. Thorne?” The driver questioned, obviously eager to rid Silas of his excess baggage—A.K.A: Me.
“Drive around for a while. Mr. Hansen and I have a lot of catching up to do after our last conference.” Silas replied firmly, his finger pressing down on a small black button that began to divide the two sides of the car with a seamless opaque screen. “You will not disturb us.”
I bit my lip, admiring the privacy screen. Already, my cock was standing at attention.
It was silent, the driver finally blocked from view.
“So,” Silas whispered, still looking straight ahead. “Scouting around for trouble, are you?”
I chuckled. “Nah. Trouble has an easy enough time finding me.”
“You’re sure not trying hard to avoid it.” His hand sought out to find and rest on my thigh, his eyes slicing into mine, like daggers.
Irresistible.
“You know what? I’ve realized something now that I’m a little tipsy,” I said, turning to look at him.
Silas smiled, humoring me. “And what might that be?”
I rolled over until I was straddling him, wasting no time in revealing my motives.
“I haven’t been out of my house in over three days, and I’m fucking horny,” I breathed.
I shifted my weight over him and Silas groaned. I reveled in the feeling of how he pulled me closer, hands dragging down my back to rest on my ass. “I figured that much,“ he murmured with a smirk. “But what do you want me to do about it?”
I planted hard kisses on his throat. He smelled like cedar, strong and mine for the taking. “Fuck me,” I whispered.
Silas remained perfectly still, but the abrupt twitch in his pants gave him away. “But Noah, it wasn’t long ago that you resisted my advances over the phone. Why the sudden interest now?”
“Hard,” I continued, biting the sensitive flesh softly. “Right here, in the back of your car. It’ll be so hot.”
I made a move to unzip his pants but was stopped. “The driver will hear us, Noah,” Silas spoke low and stern.
I pushed his hands away, proceeding to open his pants. “Let him,” I purred. “Maybe he’ll join us.”
And that’s all it took.
Silas’s hand found its way into my hair, yanking backwards roughly. I stared into his gaze, excitedly. His expression was dark, conveying to me a lingering warning of my words.
“You’re mine,” he growled, his eyes glowing with an intensity I had taken a liking to.
“Yeah?” I questioned with a smirk. “I could get anyone I want, but right now, that’s you,” I eased my mouth to his ear. “So why don’t you do something about it?”
Silas pulled our heads together, viciously attacking my lips with a force I had no match to. As he pressed his tongue into my eager mouth, I let him pursue what he craved—dominance. Naturally, I welcomed the advance, greedily consuming as much of him as I could without attempting to take control.
Though I desperately wanted to.
I felt Silas’s hand glide over to my jeans, ripping the thick fabric open, the threads separating with a course snarl.
I decided that I wouldn’t worry about the fact that my favorite pair of jeans were now destroyed—he would replace them if I had anything to say about it.
Instead, I would just savor the feeling of pride that I was finally getting what I wanted.
“You want me to fuck you?” Silas whispered with deadly intent, as his hand reached into my boxers.
