34. Civilizing #2
“I want to taste you,” I breathe, my voice trembling as I reach for him. His cock twitches in my hand, thick and slick with precum even under the water, the ridges along the shaft catching on my fingers. The flared head juts out of the water, already beading with his arousal.
He rises and sits on the edge of the pool so that I have full access to his body.
I lean forward, flicking my tongue over the opening, savoring the salty tang of him.
He lets out a guttural groan, his hands fisting at his sides as he holds himself back.
I take him deeper into my mouth. My tongue swirls around the ridges, exploring his taste, his feel.
The way his muscles tighten all over when I kiss him like this with my entire mouth and tongue, dragging my lips up and down his shaft.
He pulls back suddenly, switching places with me as he lifts me and settles me onto the pool’s edge. He squeezes his eyes shut, breathing deeply, as he stands between my spread thighs. I’m right at the edge of the pool. I wrap my legs around his waist.
“What’s wrong?” I ask him.
“Nothing is wrong,” he breathes. His cock brushes against my slick folds, teasing my entrance, but he doesn’t push in.
“I just don’t want this to end yet,” he says. He’s out of the pool in one jump, then lifts me again and carries me to one of the beds.
The bed he chooses is massive, covered in furs so soft they feel like liquid against my skin. They dry the rivulets of water that drip from our warm bodies. He kneels between my spread legs.
The room is a cocoon of heat, shadows dancing on the walls from the dim glow of the lights. He’s perched above me, a smirk on his face because he knows he’s about to ruin me. His eyes are ember fire as they rake over my body, memorizing every curve like flesh he plans to devour.
“You’re mine,” he growls, and the words land deep in my core.
Rythar’s tongue flicks out, teasing me, tasting me like I’m the flavor he’s been craving.
Every lap, every stroke of his tongue against me sends sparks shooting up my spine, making it impossible to hold still.
His tongue delves deep, caressing me until I’m trembling, whispering to him not to stop.
His hands glide over my hips, fingers digging into my flesh as he keeps me where he wants me.
He moves up, leans in, his breath hot against my ear, and whispers, “There’s something else I want to try. ”
He pulls away, leaving me aching and desperate. But only for a moment. I watch, my heart pounding, as he reaches for something—something alien, something other. It’s glowing faintly, and shaped like a long, slender coil.
“What is that?” I ask, my pulse kicking.
Rythar smiles. “Something we can share. It is an old design—built in anticipation. It is said to work with the bond,” he murmurs, and my core clenches at the promise in his voice.
He clasps my hand in his, then slips the warm coil over our fingers. It hums softly. The resonant thrum spreads over both of us, then through us.
He looks deeply into my eyes and I hear his thoughts brushing against my mind. I relax and let them in, let my own thoughts flow back to him.
“Stay with me,” Rythar’s mind whispers into mine. “Choose me forever.”
He kisses my throat, my neck, my earlobe, sending shivers racing down my body. The shivers join with the sensation of the coil. I feel the physical desire he has for me like a singular focus in my mind. His hard length is against me, teasing. I squirm under him, angling to take him in.
“Please,” I beg. I want to be with him now, again, tomorrow, forever. “Please, Rythar, I need you.”
He slides in slowly, every ridge teasing my already sensitive walls. He starts pumping me with a rhythm that matches the pounding of my heart, each thrust driving me deeper into bliss. The coil works in time with his movements, amplifying every sensation until I’m so close.
“Rythar!” I breathe, as the pleasure builds to a crescendo. I shatter, my vision going white as waves of ecstasy crash over me, leaving me gasping, trembling, utterly spent.
He tenses, his cock swelling inside me as he comes. I feel a shock of pleasure through the connection of the coil still around our hands.
His pleasure. In my body. And he felt mine in his.
He collapses on top of me, his breath hot against my ear.
“We can’t promise each other forever. We don’t know what’s coming,” I whisper, when I can speak again.
He laughs softly as he tucks my head under his chin. “Then we adapt,” he says. “Like everything else that survives on Xytheos.”
“What if my friends can’t adapt?” I say against his skin.
His chest rises and falls as he considers. “I am certain none of them are as stubborn and difficult as you are.”
I lift my head enough to glare at him. “You’re saying I’m the worst one? You’re supposed to be comforting me.”
His hand slides down my back. “I’m saying the other males might have an easier time civilizing their brides.”
I bare my teeth and nip at his arm.
He huffs. “You are not the worst. You are certainly the most impossible. But I enjoy your spirit. I do not expect you to stop fighting for your friends. Only to keep yourself out of danger.”
“I don’t put myself in danger. It just finds me,” I say.
He’s quiet a moment. “I will teach you where to hide.”
“You don’t hide,” I say grumpily.
“There are times when even a warlord hides, Elena.” His mouth curves. “Do not tell anyone.”
“Your secret is safe with me.”
“No,” he growls, rolling me beneath him again. “Nothing is safe with you.”
“Good.” I hook my leg around his hip. “You were getting complacent.”
