Chapter 13
Ilean back in my familiar leather chair, my thumb working the groove in the armrest, my ears pricked for every sound of her. The belt presses against my waist. I shift, planting my black boots farther apart, then pull at the sleeve of my white polo, straining against me, tighter than I remember.
When did I last wear this fucking thing?
I glance to the corridor to the war room.
Mero and Talarin are in a deep conversation, their auras taut and focused, going over last night’s Reaver formations.
I should get up and join them. There are things to discuss, strategies to revise, but a faint jingle comes from upstairs and my eyes flick upwards, tracking her through the ceiling, my cock throbbing painfully in response.
I grip it, pushing it aside against my thigh.
I’ve been rock hard on and off since I told her what I was going to do to her this morning, and it took me five minutes to calm the length down enough to take a piss before my shower.
Every time I got close to relaxing enough, the image of her over my lap filled my mind and hardened me to steel once more.
What game is she playing up there? More than three hours to go. What game is she playing, getting dressed this early? As hard as each second is for me, I know they are so much worse for her. I know what she’s unable to get out of her mind.
Being over my lap again. She smelled so fucking sweet when I had her right here just nine days ago, twisting and pulling and fighting while her body betrayed her, aching to be tamed.
She’s craving it. Beginning to understand that this is exactly what she needs, and that she will never get it anywhere else but with me and my triad.
I want that knowledge so deeply rooted into the most instinctive, base parts of her mind that if she ever thinks of leaving when the hundred days are over, all her resistance will be washed away by the urge to come crawling back.
Her mind. Her desires. Chained to me, trained to me, and even if she managed to leave for a day, she’ll be begging me to punish her again.
The bells sound again, closer. They jingle as she takes the stairs down, and I follow every sound, my thumb indenting the leather, when she turns the corner and she’s in front of me.
My eyes go wide.
She’s always more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
She stands in front of me, displaying herself for me in the tiny little skirt I laid out, but without a shirt. Her perfect breasts, those hard little nipples. Her cheeks flushed, her lips bright pink.
The leather creaks beneath my thumb.
She didn’t wear the complete outfit I laid out for her. And I’m going to punish her for?—
Her scent reaches me.
I’m lost.
Utter perfection. The most intoxicating mix of shame and urgent need, twisted with something else. Something I haven’t tasted from her before.
Her innocence. Her.
There’s no one else. It’s only her.
I want to sit her on my face and lap at her scent for the rest of my days. I want to know every inch of her body. I need to know every inch of her mind when I Bond with her.
When I have her arching her ass up and presenting her slick to me, begging to be bred. When I pull off the ring and all I taste is her utter need to be mine, to be claimed.
My cock aches, agonizingly hard, and I’m standing before I know it.
My fingers twist at my ring.
The heavy footsteps of my battle-brothers register somewhere in my consciousness, and I know they’ve felt the change in my aura, the brutal need.
A warning surge of ice comes from Mero.
Nell looks up at me through her lashes.
“I’m sorry, sir. There was a shirt laid out, but you told me specifically you wanted me in pink panties and a little pink skirt, and I didn’t want to disobey you by putting anything else on.”
My nostrils flare, my breath ragged, filling my nostrils with her scent again, and all my world is her. My fingers tighten around the ring, squeezing, willing to twist and break the thing that blunts her scent, that shrouds what is mine, the taste of my Fated Mate.
Nell looks up at me, her chin lifting, and there’s the faintest curve of her bright pink lips, and she holds my gaze for another moment before raising her wrist.
“It looks like I have time for a walk,” she says, never glancing at the time, keeping her eyes locked on mine.
I’m moving towards her before I can think. I grab her wrist, the watch disappearing under my grip.
