Revelations #15
He growled, “You were naked under this all night?!” I laughed, “You did see the dress, didn’t you?” Keaton growled, “I absolutely saw it.” My man slowly kissed me and cupped my breast. He lazily made his way to bed then made love to me slowly all night. Life just couldn’t get better.
I woke up to a kiss on my shoulder and smiled. Keaton had made breakfast in bed. I sat up, “You’re so perfect.” Keaton laughed, “I have a meeting to get to.” I pouted. My boyfriend tilted my chin up, “It won’t be long. I’ll come see you when I get back.”
I nodded, “I know.” Keaton kissed me again then said, “Come on, I’ll drop you off at home.” I nodded, “Ok.” He took me back to my place then drove off. I wondered how long his meeting was. I should’ve asked.
I looked at Tatum, “You know how I can surprise him? I’ll go get my driver’s license! Or try. I guess I could fail the test. Ok, I probably will” I ran downstairs and found Ken. The building manager smiled, “What’s up?”
I explained, “Well, I wanted to surprise Key by getting my license and I was kind of hoping you could drive me.” Ken laughed, “Yeah kid, let’s go.
” Ken drove my car there and went with me to sign up.
I was nervous when my instructor came over.
We got in my car while Ken waved and held a thumbs up for good luck.
The instructor didn’t say much, which was nerve wracking. She just marked boxes on her paper. When we got back, she announced, “You passed by one point, but you still passed.” She handed me my paper. I read it and made a face.
I got docked for not turning right on red.
Well, I was nervous! Ken said, “Let’s go to the license bureau.
We can get you right in.” Of course, they could.
I’m sure a Daniel’s owned the place. We got right in and out.
I couldn’t help but smile at my license.
It was my first document with my picture on it.
Ken gestured to my car with a smile, “Drive us back.” I nodded and drove him back to my apartment. Ken hummed, “Well, that was an experience. I’m off for the day. See you later, kid.” He left quickly and I went upstairs to my apartment.
I got a text from an unknown number. It was a picture of Keaton at his house. He was back? I didn’t even read the message. I smiled saying to myself, “I’ll just surprise my man. He’ll be stunned to see me drive up.” I ran downstairs and got in my car. I was extra careful on the drive there.
When I pulled up, I heard a child’s scream. I looked around my car for a weapon. I said, “Come on, let there be a gun in the glove box.” I opened it and squealed, “Thank you Jarchi for the weapon and bless you Melanie for teaching me to shoot.” I ran towards the scream.
I panicked when I saw who it was. I screamed “ALLISON!” She had a bow and arrow, fighting off a lot of red eyed wolves. I cannot believe the city hadn’t done anything about all except Rolfe yet. My rabies wolf was part of the solution, not the problem.
Allison yelled, “It’s uhh fine, I got this.” I snorted, “Good thing I came to see Keaton.” Allison frowned, “Keaton’s not here.” Huh? Then why did I get of picture of him here? I fired my gun at the rabies wolf closest to her.
It whined in pain, then pain exploded in my head as the wolf turned into a human. I screamed, “Oh my god!” Allison yelled, “Please don’t panic, Odette.” I just killed a human being when it was a wolf. Werewolf. I killed a Werewolf. NO! My books said they were rogues.
One jumped at Allison and I didn’t hesitate to fire to save her life. I had to protect Allison. Sassy was in full agreement. I watched wolf after wolf turn back into a person. Oh god. The pain in my head was unbearable.
When Allison was safe, I threw up and barely managed to stumble back to my car.
I groaned, “Oh god. I just committed mass murder. I knew my life was going too well. Who is going to believe they were wolves when I fired? I didn’t even hesitate.
Oh my god. I’ll need Caspian’s lawyer. I’m so going to jail.
Oh my god, I’m a murderer.” People yelled my name, but I gunned my car and took off. So much for being a safe driver.
I started to sob as the whole situation became real.
I killed someone, no several people. I actually pulled the trigger and killed someone.
Sassy was cautious in my head but not upset.
Heck, she was almost excited. I whispered, “I had to do it to save Allison. That has to matter, right?” Sassy hissed suddenly in my head.
I looked in front of me where there was an SUV with guns pointed at me. Oh god. I was going to jail. I screamed and slammed on the breaks. I lost control of the car and ended up in the ditch. My door was ripped off.
The guy smiled, “It is the Daniels boy’s girl, they were right. This was like taking candy from a baby.” My head hurt, but I started to fight. They growled at me. I was doing good until I was hit with something hard from behind.
When I woke up, I was chained to a cot and started crying. Someone yelled, “Shut up!” I snorted, “Sure, now that you said it that will help. I’ll just stop having a reaction to being kidnapped! You are an ASS!” The guy stood in front of me.
I frowned, “You have red eyes. You are one of the rabies wolves!” The guy growled at me while Sassy hissed in my head. Someone warned, “You are not to harm her.” The first guy snorted. Wait I knew the voice that told him not to hurt me.
Delana stepped into my view causing my eyes to widen.
She stated, “You do not want to upset the Merrick’s.
Do you?” The guy snorted, “Lady, I don’t answer to the Merrick’s.
If the Daniels boy will pay for his chick, then we are taking the money and returning her.
” Delana shrugged causing the guy to walk away.
Delana waited until he was further away before she dropped a rock. To my shock, Delana apologized, “I’m sorry about this. These guys and the Merrick’s got a traitor in the Daniels pack who told them where you were coming.”
I snorted, “It will be Lisa. I should’ve known if Keaton was back, he’d have called me.” I reached through the bars with my free hand and grabbed her hand. I sincerely apologized, “I’m so sorry about your son.” Delana asked, “How do you know about that?”
I frowned, “Umm that’s complicated. If we are in delusional land, I saw you. Luke also told me when I saw him in my dreams.” Delana’s eyes widened then she threw her head back laughing. My ex’s probably now ex waved her hand, “Luke has no idea how powerful you are.”
Delana cackled, “God, that’s going to hurt Luke so much worse.
Look, I met a friend of yours. We have a plan, but it might take a day to enact.
” I frowned, “You met a friend of mine?” Delana nodded, “Yes, she’s coming to you some way she can tonight.
She said to tell you Manford at Modd comes for their own. ”
I gasped, “Melanie?” Tears filled my eyes.
Melanie was coming for me again. That was her company’s name.
I sobbed in relief. I laughed, “Of course she’s coming because I got kidnapped.
That’s how she found me the first time.” Clearly, the solution if I lost Melanie again was to get captured. It wasn’t my worst contingency plan.
Delana got into my cell, got on the floor with me, and held me in her arms singing softly. I whispered, “Why are you helping me?” Delana answered, “We are in an unfortunate situation, Odette. I tried and gave my song a chance, but Luke didn’t measure up.”
I repeated, “Yeah, my vile ex came to my dream. I think he did anyway.” I rubbed my head. Delana rubbed my shoulders, “You can’t think about that too hard until you see your friend. Melanie says she can fix that. I don’t know how, but she did say she could.”
Delana started to leave, but she didn’t understand what I was trying to say about my ex. I said, “I know Luke pretty well. So, I know that vile piece of crap convinced you that he didn’t have anything to do with your son dying, but he did. Luke told me himself.”
A few tears escaped Delana’s eyes. I hated causing her pain, but she had to know. Delana whispered, “I knew but I didn’t want to. I was already done with Luke, but that’s the last straw. When we get out of here, I’ll reject him then go back to my childhood home.”
I told her, “Caspian said he’d help.” Delana’s hand stalled then she busted up laughing again. “You know Caspian? Of course, you do. You were song walking. Luke is going to be eviscerated. I love everything about that. My baby boy deserves justice.”
Delana whispered, “He didn’t even have a name yet.” It was my turn to hold her while she cried. I rocked her thinking of the right words, but none came. Finally, I said, “You get to name him. He’s your baby boy and he always will be.”
Delana wiped her tears, “You’re right. I have to go.
” I desperately clung to her, “Wait, why are you here?” Delana grinned wickedly, “Because I am a good actress. The Merrick’s think I’ll bring you back to get justice for my son.
” They were crazy then because any rational person knew I didn’t do it.
Delana scoffed, “Little do they know I want justice for my son against them, not you. They want you there, but I never did. They gave me the means to keep something they want from them, and I’m taking it.
I’m hitting them where it hurts in many ways.
The boy they are talking about, Keaton. He’s your song, isn’t he? ”
I nodded. Delana snorted, “They are so dumb. I knew they second they were talking about his responses to their notes he was yours. The Merrick’s just believed nothing could get in the way of their plans. My how fast the mighty fall. Stay strong. I’m going to meet your friend.”
