Something unsettling took over me as I peered at the house in the distance.

Mandy had been taken right along with Kit, so why were some of her lights on in her home?

Had their capturers brought them back to her living quarters to punish them more?

Were they searching for something that would cover their trail that we were trying to sniff out?

No matter the case, I saw two shadows moving up the staircase where a window let me peer in. The staircase wasn’t lit, but my eyesight was able to track the movement in order to know there were figures inside. I wasn’t zoomed in to see, but I could identify the movement from this distance.

Behind a bush across the street, Kashmir and I were scoping the place out to make sure we were in the clear before the others joined.

He’d been looking at his phone, so I nudged his shoulder and pointed at the stairs.

He was the one with night vision equipment attached to his gun in order to get heat signatures from inside.

“Just give me a minute,” he grumbled after shooting off a text to Ryatt.

Placing the scope on his gun, he lied down on the ground and anchored his gun onto a small stand that would keep us hidden within the bush.

In the house behind us, Kayos had infiltrated it by pretending to be a salesman to keep the family preoccupied for at least thirty minutes.

We only needed him in there long enough for us to gain a good footing to know what we were up against across the street.

He was the most charismatic out of all of us, so it made sense to send him.

Turner would have been our first pick, but his arm and the sling unnerved people.

Smelling the fresh dirt below, I let it ground me enough to keep going without freaking out.

This whole situation just felt too out of the blue.

If Saul grabbed Kit by accident, we were still running out of time to save her.

It meant being a little reckless in all the planning.

Pointing to where I saw the shadow, I indicated to scope out the second floor first.

Once he got in position with everything set up, he went to work and analyzed the building. The tip of his gun followed the direction he wanted it to move, indicating to me what I already found. “Two bodies upstairs, alive and moving.”

He kept scanning through the rest of it. I just waited patiently for him to do his job because this was where his talents shined brighter than the rest of us.

“There appears to be two in the kitchen, sitting at what I presume is the table. That’s all I’m seeing though.”

“And what were the two doing upstairs?”

His gun quickly swung back to where he saw them. “I can only presume from the positioning, but it looks like one of the men decided he needed more from Kit or Mandy.”

Deadly, I watched as he shifted into being territorial. I joined him as my hackles raised, but I also knew there was more to be aware of. “Anyone else?”

“Just two down by the kitchen area you already know about. They’re either eating dinner or playing poker. Their faces are hunched over, but I don’t see them being much of a threat as long as we surprise them.”

“So we’re only seeing one hostage in the building?” I wanted to make sure.

Kashmir lifted his brown gaze. “What’s the bet they separated the girls?”

“High,” I huffed before radioing it to the others. I told them the key points, and they assumed the same thing we did. Kashmir and I would cover the back of the house where the two in the kitchen were, and the others would raid the upstairs to save which girl had been contained at Mandy’s address.

Locking my silencer into place, we knew this part had to be quiet for the man upstairs not to kill whoever he hurt.

The two of us made our way around the back, taking in how the door had been locked.

While the two inside shared a laugh, we gently twisted the handle for them not to hear.

Kashmir rolled his eyes the second it didn’t turn fully because he hated picking locks.

Lucky for him, I was a master at it. Anything that got me to use my fingers with textures and made my mind fixate on a task was what I needed.

Pulling the pick set from my back pocket, I lowered myself to be level with the knob.

Kashmir kept watch through the window just to make sure I didn’t startle them into sensing our presence.

Doing what I did best, I inserted the two pieces I needed and lifted with one as the other began rotating the locking mechanism.

It took a little jiggling, but I almost had it without too much noise.

When the lock set into unlocking, it clicked just enough to alert the men we were up to something.

Rolling my eyes, I hated hearing them go silent as I held the picks in my hands.

The door opened for the two men to stand over me in anger.

Glaring me down with their wrath, they missed Kashmir off to the side as he hid in the shadows near the window.

They never saw it coming when he fired in two quick bullets, killing both instantly.

The two bodies fell over me as I shook them to fall the rest of the way. Standing, I narrowed my eyes on my pack mate. Kashmir just sauntered on by, radioing Ryatt that it was done. Turning back to me, he quirked the corner of his mouth. “We should’ve just knocked and been done with it.”

“They would’ve seen you,” I huffed.

“Not if you were pretending to be a girl scout,” he snickered before meeting the others in the front area of the home.

“Jokes on you,” I growled. “I’d look fucking fantastic in that uniform.”

“Only because you’d be shirtless,” he mumbled. That’s when we made it to the others at the front door, opening it to let them in. We knew no one should stay behind, so we all went up the stairs. We needed everyone with Kit’s life sitting in the balance.

Our group moved as one giant taskforce, keeping our steps as silent as possible.

When we neared the room, we were able to hear the pleasuring sounds of a male.

He was a loud one, moaning in ways men only did when they were bottoming.

I wasn’t the only one who thought it because our pack shared a look of perceptiveness.

We fucked each other enough to recognize hitting that special spot.

Ryatt swung the door open for us to see something not even bleaching my eyes would undo.

Mandy wore a foot long schlong strapped to her crotch, pegging a younger man and pulling on the leash around his neck.

A red ball gag greeted us poised in his mouth for her to fully dominate him with his hands tied behind his back.

A crop sat within range, telling all of us about the fun they had been enjoying with her as his dominatrix.

“What the hell?” Kayos pulled a face of disgust.

Anika moved in, seeing the sight for what it was. The man moved his face to look our way as Mandy paused plowing his ass with her strap-on. “Drake… So, he was how you learned about Kit.”

The Beta with us held back her fury, but we could feel how her wrath began exuding from her pores. Not leaving another second to waste, she pulled the handgun from her hip and fired it right between his eyes. Her madness quickly switched to the woman with a fake dick in a dead man’s ass.

“You were playing us this whole time,” she seethed.

“It took you long enough to figure that bit out,” Mandy cackled manically, telling us who she really was. “Saul has Kit, and I have enough backing to support my political campaign. A great bargain, if you ask me.”

“Kill her,” Turner said with a murderous growl.

“No,” Anika stopped us from ripping her throat out. “She’s the only lead we have to finding Kit. We need to take her alive.”

“Alive,” Mandy preened as though she thought she’d survive us.

“Alive,” Turner approached her like a lurking predator. “Means losing limbs and breaking pieces.”

Punching her in the face, he knocked her out cold.

Slinging the scantily clad woman over his shoulder, he made his way to the door without removing the new member she wore.

No one had been prepared to see his brute come out, but I knew I supported it in Kit’s honor.

Mandy would die, but we’d make her suffer while extracting information first.
