His Confession #2

“Ares…” I whisper, not even sure why I’m calling him. His silver eyes meet mine, dark with desire and hunger as he yanks up my dress to my waist, grabbing my ass.

I bite back a moan; I can still hear voices down the hall, too far to matter but close enough that my face burns when I realise where we are and where this is going.

“We… Everyone is outside…”

Ares’ mouth curves into a small, cocky smirk before he covers my mouth with his hand, firm enough to muffle the sound that escapes me when his body presses against mine.

“Then you better be quiet, Princess,” he murmurs against my ear. “Unless you want the whole family knowing exactly what the future Luna of the Blue Moon Pack sounds like.”

Fuck.

Before I can even respond, his hand slips my panties aside, and his fingers find my clit. Pleasure erupts through me as I cling to him, parting my legs to give him better access.

“That’s my girl,” he growls in my ear as his fingers plunge into me, making me gasp.

Fuck, Ares, I murmur through the mind-link.

You’re already ready for me, he growls, slipping his fingers out and sliding them into my mouth.

My cheeks burn as I lick them clean before he turns me and bends me over the sink counter, the mirror in front of me, one hand squeezing my ass whilst he unzips his pants with the other hand and pulls his dick out.

I turn to look at him, biting my lip as I appreciate the size of his cock before he lines it up with my pussy, taking hold of my hip with one hand and with the other he thrusts into me, making me whimper in pleasure.

“That’s it…” he growls in approval as he begins fucking me nice and hard.

I bite back a moan, and he leans over me, clamping his hand over my mouth, the other still holding me firmly. Pleasure consumes me until all I can think about is how good this feels.

And I never want him to stop. The closer I get, the higher the pleasure builds; the sound of our skin colliding fills the room.

I’m close… I whimper, holding on tightly as he slams into me, harder and faster until my release tears through me and I feel my juices squirt out of me, trickling down my legs as my entire body almost buckles, but he wraps his arm around my waist, holding me up.

A few thrusts later and he comes, pulling out and spraying his cum over my ass.

By the time I can breathe properly again, my hands are still gripping the edge of the sink, my hair is no longer neat, and my dress is creased in a way it shouldn’t be. And yet somehow, in an insane way, I love it.

Ares is looking at me in the mirror with the expression of a man thoroughly satisfied.

I stare at his reflection, cheeks flushed, pulse still racing. “That was…”

He leans down, his hand at my hip moving to caress my waist, his lips brushing the side of my neck. “Good?”

“Better than good,” I whisper. He chuckles, slapping my ass before he moves away and grabs a towel, rinses it beneath the water, and before I even realise what he’s doing, he’s running it down my ass and legs. “I can do it.”

“I got it,” he says, his voice rough, but the way he’s running the towel over my legs is anything but. His touch firm yet gentle.

“Thanks,” I say softly. I get a grunt for a response, nothing more.

Only when he’s satisfied does he move back, and I adjust my panties as he slips himself back into his pants and takes out two small bottles, tossing me one. I cock a brow, but the moment I catch it, I recognise the scent disguisers.

“You just carry these around?” I ask.

“I grabbed them earlier; I realised with you nearby I might need them at unconventional times,” he admits.

I smile softly as I use it, spraying it over myself. “Smart,” I say.

“I can be smart sometimes.”

“The key word being sometimes,” I tease.

Suddenly the door handle rattles and we both still.

“Ares?” Renji’s voice comes through the door, far too amused. “You alive in there, brother?”

I close my eyes. Goddess, kill me now.

Ares does not even look embarrassed, only irritated.

“Go away,” he growls.

“We’re already eating dessert,” Renji informs him.

“Then eat it; the fuck do I care?” Ares replies, as he combs his fingers through my hair, kissing me lightly.

“Everyone’s wondering where you are,” Renji adds in a sing-song voice.

“No, they’re not,” Ares scoffs.

“We are, actually,” Carter’s voice comes.

Ares shakes his head, walking towards the door, when I grab him by the arm, stopping him.

“Now what?” I whisper. You cannot open the door with me here!

He leans closer, voice rough near my ear, his lips grazing my lobe. “Get used to it. I’m fucking you everywhere.”

Heat floods through me so fast I almost moan. His hand tightens briefly at my waist, and despite the embarrassment, even though his brothers are outside the door and clearly enjoying this far too much, something in me warms.

I turn my head enough to look at him. “Everywhere… I’ll hold you to it,” I whisper.

His eyes flash, but the door rattles again.

“Go the fuck away, or I swear I’m going to kill you,” Ares growls, but both his brothers simply snicker.

It takes me another two minutes to fix myself well enough to return to the dining room. My hair is mostly in place, my dress is acceptable, and my cheeks are only slightly flushed.

Ares, of course, looks completely unbothered as he unlocks the door and steps out first.

Renji and Carter are standing in the corridor, both smirking.

Jayce stands a little farther back, arms crossed, mouth curved faintly.

Ares looks at them. “What?”

Renji’s grin widens. “Nothing.”

“Say it.”

“No, I value my life.”

“First smart thing you’ve said today.”

Carter looks past him to me, and I give him the kind of icy look that has made many men rethink their choices.

His smirk falters.

Good.

Ares glances back at me, notices, and he smirks before he takes my hand and leads me back into the dining room as if nothing happened.

No one says anything when we return.

Scarlett’s eyes sparkle with amusement. Liam is looking very determinedly at Stephen, who is asleep against Sienna’s shoulder. Royce’s expression suggests he has worked out enough to want to be anywhere but here, and Skyla is grinning like she’s just scored a victory.

Mum gives me one calm look, then simply lifts her glass and takes a big gulp before looking away. Sienna and Shahira are giggling quietly.

Oh Goddess, I may never recover.

Ares sits down beside me, reaches for my plate and motions for me to begin eating. Ares Westwood’s love language. I smile softly, remembering how he wiped me down, and I realise he had done the same thing the first time, but I was too exhausted to realise.

Picking up my fork, I look up at him, and the words leave before I can overthink them.

“I love you, Ares.”

The table stills and Ares’ eyes snap towards me,

Ares stills, too.

Only for a second.

Then he looks at me, and the first thing he says is, “I know.”

Several people make sounds of disbelief, and Carter actually chokes.

But I know Ares, and he’s not finished yet. His jaw tightens, and for the first time all evening, he looks… nervous?

Then he exhales sharply, reaches beneath the table, and takes my hand.

“I love you too, Princess,” he says, rough and low, and my eyes widen. I was expecting the reply, but through the mind-link, not out loud.

“Finally,” someone mutters before the noise around us returns slowly, and I don’t care who’s looking and who isn’t, far too busy gazing at my mate.

Ares squeezes my hand once, then nudges the plate closer with his other.

“Eat,” he mutters again.

I laugh softly, looking at my plate.

“Yes, Alpha,” I reply, blushing lightly at his confession.

His eyes darken at that, and I realise immediately that I have made another mistake. Or perhaps not.

Perhaps this is simply how we are.

Ares and Charlotte.

Alpha and Luna.

River and sea.

Tide and tempest.

Two different kinds of water, one quiet enough to carve through stone over time, the other violent enough to drag the world under when it chooses, yet somehow meeting in the same pool, the same current, the same impossible tide neither of us knew how to fight.

A bond neither of us asked for.

A pull neither of us could deny.

A fate that did not find us beneath lights and glamour in a ballroom but in the shadows of a pack that was best left in the past.

Our shadowed bond.

Ares leans closer, his voice brushing my ear as his hand tightens around mine beneath the table.

“Careful, Princess, don’t look at me like that or I might get used to it.”

I smile. “Get used to it, because I plan to look at you just like this, every single day,” I say quietly.

“Oh yeah? So does that mean you’re going to stop challenging me and be a good girl?” he asks, raising an eyebrow as he looks down at me.

I laugh softly, tilting my head back, and kiss the edge of his jaw. “Never,” I reply.

Ares removes his hand from my leg and wraps it around my shoulders instead, and pulls me closer, kissing the side of my head. “Good. Cause I like my Chilli Charlotte.”

I smile up at him, our eyes meeting before I cup his jaw and tug him closer, pressing my lips against his, and he kisses me back, unbothered by our audience.

Because when we’re together, somehow that’s all that matters.
