Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen

KAMILA

“ I am so, so sorry. I had no idea that he was here,” Zoey whispers. “Neither did Will, supposedly. ”

She narrows her eyes at him, and he holds his hands up in surrender. “I swear I didn’t know either.”

When Will steps aside, Cameron comes into view. He’s sitting on a couch with his arm around a girl I don’t recognize. He’s wearing a tight, long-sleeved black shirt, and dark blue jeans. His hair is messier than usual in that I didn’t really try way, but you know he did.

“Hey, Cameron,” I say stiffly. “Of course, you’d be here today of all fucking days,” I mumble.

“Sorry, I didn’t catch that last part.” He gives me a lop-sided smile, letting me know he heard every damn word.

How the hell did he get into the Kappa house, let alone this room?

I open my mouth to voice the question when I feel an arm wrap around me. Levi smiles widely.

“Hey baby, sorry I kept you waiting, I ran into a friend.” Zoey lifts both eyebrows, and I almost do too, before catching Cameron’s reaction .

His eyes flicker to Levi with an expression I can’t decipher, and I decide to play along.

“No problem, babe. Levi, this is Cameron and…” My voice trails off as I wait for the girl to introduce herself.

She sticks her hand out. “Denise.”

“It’s nice to meet you guys.” Levi and Cameron exchange a handshake, except they both hold on for a little too long. Eventually, I elbow Levi lightly, and he pulls back.

Cameron tips his head to the side. “So, how long have you guys been seeing each other, if you don’t mind me asking.”

Trick question. The kiss happened a week ago, meaning I have to answer carefully to get it right.

Levi speaks first. “We’ve been friends for a while. I only gained the courage to ask her out about three days ago. I know, I know, took me long enough, right?” He laughs. “She agreed to give me a chance, and this is our second date. So far, it’s been going great, right baby?” He smiles down and winks. It takes everything in me not to laugh.

“That’s exactly right, babe.” I give him a quick peck on the cheek and smile at Cameron, who looks at both of us skeptically. Meanwhile, Will’s shoulders shake in silent laughter until Zo shoos him away.

“Well, you guys are adorable. Oh, and happy birthday,” Denise says while checking Levi out in the most obvious way possible. He might not be my actual boyfriend, but Denise doesn’t know that. She could also stop eye fucking him right next to her date.

“Hey everyone!” Brian yells. “We have somebody here celebrating their birthday, so I think it’s only appropriate that we let her spin the wheel for tonight’s game.” People cheer, and Jake gears me to the center of the room. He sees my confused expression and mouths, trust me . Usually, I wouldn’t mind having multiple people’s eyes on me, yet this feels highly intimidating.

“Bring it out, guys. ”

A massive spinning wheel that was hidden in a dark corner of the room is being rolled towards me. Once it’s close enough for me to read the text on it, I’m no longer confused. There are games like truth or dare, spin the bottle, never have I ever, fuck marry kill, etc.

“They’re all drinking games, of course,” Brian informs me.

“Gotcha.” I tilt my head, examining all the options. “I haven’t played most of these since high school.”

“We always manage to make it more interesting, trust me.” He grabs my palms and places them on the wheel. “Make sure to spin it hard, or it’ll stop too quickly. Let’s spin!” he shouts the last two words. Everyone starts chanting, including my friends, and I put all my strength into the movement, hoping I did it right.

“Not bad for a first-timer.”

We wait for at least fifteen seconds before it lands on never have I ever.

That shouldn’t be too bad.

“Anyone who doesn’t want to play, get out while you can. The rest of you grab a drink over in the corner where the keg and cocktails are if you don’t already have one. Shots are not available. This is a long game and the last thing we need is a case of alcohol poisoning,” Brian announces.

One by one, seventeen people collapse on the floor while a couple of the guys push the couches against the walls for more space. Levi and Em sit on either side of me while the rest of my friend group is spread across the circle. And directly across from me is Cameron, who is no longer sitting next to Denise; instead, he’s now with Will and a stranger. Sending a sarcastic smile his way, he ignores it and me. Wimp . Zoey shoots me a sympathetic look. I wave my hand and mouth it’s okay. She’s in a weird position, and I’m not going to make her choose between Cameron and me like we’re in high school.

“The rules are simple,” Brian states. “Most of you probably already know them. We go around in a circle, everybody takes a turn and says something they themselves have never done. You phrase it as never have I ever blah blah blah, and people who have done the thing drink. You guys get the gist. Anyways, birthday girl, why don’t you start us off.” He waves to me.

“Okay.” I take a second to contemplate. “I’ll start us off with an easy one. Never have I ever gone to class high.” Half of the room drinks, including Jake and Rachel.

Levi goes next, meaning Em will be last. She’s been giggly the past couple of minutes, which isn’t normal for her. It’s then that I realize she's on her third cup of beer. Combine that with the drinks we had back in our room, and it’ll get the job done. She usually doesn’t get drunk unless she’s very stressed. I guess everyone needs to let loose once in a while.

Levi’s looking up at the ceiling, deep in thought. It’s been his turn for about two minutes now. I can’t help the small laugh that escapes me at my not so innocent friend. He elbows me at the sound of my giggle.

Finally, he comes up with something. “Never have I ever gotten a golden shower.”

Everybody’s eyes widen except Cameron and Brian’s, who is shaking his head. “Now that’s what I’m talking about.” Brian points to Levi with a grin. Levi smiles back at him flirtatiously. Brian doesn’t miss a beat before shooting him the same look.

Damn. I lean over to Levi. “How did you know he was into guys?”

He shrugs. “I didn’t.” His brows wiggle. “Till now.”

Laughing, we turn our attention back to the game. Cameron’s date takes a sip of her drink in response to Levi’s statement, and so does one other person.

I’m not one to yuck anyone’s yum, but I couldn’t imagine doing it myself. Let alone Cameron doing it.

What if he did that with Ana? Gross, gross, gross.

The mental picture I just conjured will forever be embedded in my brain.

God damn Denise .

Luna goes next. “I’ll be a little nicer. Never have I ever gotten a piercing.” I glance over and notice that Luna indeed doesn’t have anything pierced. Almost everybody raises their glass, including Levi.

Em and I make eye contact with Jake, who also seems surprised at our best friend's sip.

“Levi, I’ve seen you practically naked, what could you possibly have—” He stops, and his mouth drops open as the realization hits all of us. “No. Fucking. Way.”

Levi shrugs, smiles, looks down at his crotch and says, “Yes, way.” His shoulders shake with laughter at our physical reactions and lack of words. He seems highly amused and winks at Brian, letting him know what to expect if there’s a happy ending tonight.

A snort leaves Em and I quickly stick my hand over her mouth while she whispers an apology.

Oh, this night’s going to be fun.

My roommate's laugh apparently caught Cameron’s attention since he’s staring me straight in the eyes. We lock gazes, and neither one of us cowers.

Is this a challenge I’m sensing? For what, I’m not sure, but I’m game.

His stare is intense. I feel myself getting hot and take off my jacket. Cameron’s eyes flare with something before he quickly sobers. After a moment, he tilts his head at me with a small smile. Shit, I just realized what he’s figured out. He knows I haven’t slept with Levi. If I had, I would’ve known about the piercing.

“Never have I ever had a threesome,” someone says, bringing my attention back to the game.

I’ve been curious about threesomes, but I’m more of a one-on-one type of gal. Cameron and I haven’t broken eye contact when I see him lift his cup in cheers. I raise both eyebrows. Interesting, yet not too surprising. Other people drink, including some of my friends. Still, my stare never leaves Cameron’s .

“Never have I ever had sex in public.” We both drink.

“Never have I ever had anal sex.” We both drink again.

“Never have I ever done role play.” Okay, one more thing I haven’t done, but apparently he has. This time, he lifts his pierced brow in surprise. I will admit that it’s not an uncommon thing to do, and considering all the other things I admitted to having done, this ones tame. It’s just not my cup of tea.

“You okay there?” Em asks.

Still not taking my eyes off his, I answer, “Totally fine.”

It’s Cameron’s turn. He’s still looking at me, now with a wide grin. My heart rate picks up, waiting for an intense statement that’ll somehow get me into trouble. The tension between us has just grown thicker and thicker throughout the game, and the suspense is killing me.

“Never have I ever owned and used more than one dildo and/or vibrator.”

I breathe out a sigh of relief, and my body relaxes. The asshole made me believe it was going to be something directed towards me. I take a sip, and so does Emma. Em has always been private about her sex life, very private, so her answer catches me off guard. I know she’s not a virgin, but now I want to ask her how many and what toys she has. Her cheeks heat with embarrassment when she finds me staring at her.

Damn, now I feel bad. “Hey, it’s nothing to be ashamed about, own it.”

It’s Will’s turn. “Never have I ever wanted to fuck my ex’s twin sister.”

My breath catches. Cameron’s eyes widen, his cheeks and ears turning bright red.

“Holy shit,” Levi and Em whisper at the same time.

I’m not sure what my face must look like right now, but it has to be ten times worse than Cam’s.

Why would Will put both of us on the spot like that?

Oh God. Is he going to drink? Is he going to get up and leave? I wouldn’t blame him if he did .

Why is he taking so long to answer?

After what seems like an eternity, Cameron’s normal color returns as he lifts his glass and drinks, never taking his eyes off mine. My stomach dips, and I gasp quietly. I hear people whispering around us, but all I can focus on is my heart rate. He flicks his eyes away for a second to Will, and if looks could kill, Will would be freshly dug up with a brand new shiny tombstone.

“Holy shit,” Levi repeats.

Emma stays silent. She’s probably in as much shock as I am. More than him wanting to sleep with me, it’s the fact that he admitted it in front of a bunch of people, including our friends and his date.

Zoey’s voice fills the room. “Never have I ever slept with more than ten people,” she says through gritted teeth while looking at her boyfriend.

Somebody’s in trouble.

And at that statement, Cameron and I both drink.

The game continues, and at this point, I’m only partially listening, enough to drink when I need to. I finally looked away from Cameron two statements ago, still trying to process what he admitted to. I glance up to see him staring down at his cup. He must feel my eyes on him because he lifts his head. That look right there that he’s giving me is when I realize that there’s no point in denying our mutual attraction anymore. When the thought hits me, so does guilt, shame, and horniness. It feels as if both of us are thinking the exact same thing.

Emma’s voice knocks me out of my trance. Her eyelids are only halfway open, and she speaks slowly, still clear enough to understand. “Never have I ever wanted someone who I shouldn’t want.”

Goddammit. Why, out of everything she could’ve said, she said this.

My eyes wander to my former best friend, and he stares right back. At the exact same time, we both raise our cups, chugging the rest of our drinks. My breathing is labored, making my chest move up and down faster and faster.

“Well, that concludes a very interesting game of never have I ever, folks. Who wants to spin the wheel next?” Brian offers.

To hell with this, I need a break. “Levi, I’m going to try and find a bathroom. Can you handle Emma?” I point a thumb over my shoulder. “She’s drunk, in case you didn’t notice.”

“Oh, I noticed. Are you feeling okay?”

“I’m fine, I promise.” I sprint out of the room, putting as much distance as possible between Cameron and me.

Walking toward what I’m assuming is the bathroom, I find a line of at least ten people. The beer passed through me quickly and I can’t wait that long. I head to the kitchen and find a guy who’s wearing a Kappa sweatshirt.

“Hey, the bathroom down the hall has a long line. Are there any others in the house I can use?”

The Kappa guy gives me a long explanation as to where the other bathrooms are since there are multiple.

Thanking him, I make my way upstairs.

“No problem,” he tosses over his shoulder.

The hallways are dark and wide. I knock on the first bathroom door and someone mumbles that it’s occupied. My heels click on the floor loudly as I reach the last door on the right and knock. When I’m met with silence, I open it slowly and turn the lights on.

Woah.

There’s a bathtub and a separate shower, double vanity sinks, and beautiful white marble details. It’s also spotless, and hallelujah, there’s toilet paper. They have to have a maid or multiple maids because there is no way a house full of college men can keep a house this clean.

Locking the door, I handle my business and try to keep my mind off Cameron.

You are not going to act on your attraction. He’s your sister’s ex. You hate him. He hates you. He’s an arrogant douchebag. You’re a semi-decent person.

I wash my hands and admire the bathroom one last time feeling a little better than I did before I came in. I’ll focus on my friends for the rest of the night. Maybe we can go to the living room and dance, then head out early. When I twist the doorknob open, I’m suddenly pushed back. The door closes, locks and I’m pinned up against it in the blink of an eye. Panic rises within me before realizing that it’s Cameron.

“Jesus Christ, you scared the hell out of me. What are you doing here?”

“How much have you had to drink?” he asks with a stern voice, standing only two feet away from me.

I’m so confused right now. “Why?”

His hand inches closer to my face and a new kind of panic buzzes through me.

“Just answer the question.”

Letting out a tiny growl, I say, “Fine, I had two cocktails earlier today and a beer when I got here.”

His eyes rake over me. “Are you drunk?”

What is with all these questions? “Only slightly tipsy.”

Something similar to relief flashes in his dark brown eyes. When he doesn’t move, I ask the same question, trying to figure out what the hell is going on.

“I’ve only had three beers.”

Where is he going with this and why was he following me?

“What am I supposed to do with that information, Cameron?” I huff out.

He takes a step closer, our noses almost touching now. I try taking one step back before remembering that I’m still pinned to the door.

“Were you thinking about me when Emma asked the last question? Am I the one who you shouldn’t want, but do?”

Oh, shit, no. Do not answer that question.

His look is intense, and his jaw is set tight. His hands are curled into fists like he’s holding back on whatever he has the urge to do. My breaths quicken in anticipation.

My nerves get the best of me, and I answer truthfully. “Yes.”

“Are you really dating that Levi guy?” he grits out.

My mind seems to have caught onto my body’s natural reaction because I answer quickly. “No.”

He lets out a breath before his lips and body crash against mine. This time, I don’t push him away, even when everything in me is telling me to do so. We both let out sounds of relief as if we’d been waiting for this for longer than a week.

His hand threads through my hair, and he pulls it back, giving him full access to my mouth. I moan at the feeling of his tongue against mine. The other hand moves towards my breast before he cups it and takes my nipple between his fingers, teasing me. I gasp against his mouth, and he breaks away, looking at me intensely.

“You like that?” he rasps.

Not giving him the answer that I know will satisfy him, he lowers the top of my dress while kissing and nipping at my jaw and neck. This time, I moan even louder. He stops what he’s doing and I whimper at the loss of contact.

“Lower your fucking voice,” he demands.

My eyes widen at his tone, taking me by surprise. The fact that he thinks he can tell me what to do pisses me off.

“Make me,” I bite back.

He grins wickedly and turns me around so that my chest is against the door now. A hand clasps over my mouth, and his lips brush against my ear, making me tremble.

A dark chuckle rumbles through him.

“So fucking eager.” He rubs his length against me and I feel myself getting wetter. Why does this feel so good? “I thought you couldn’t stand me. I thought you hated me.” I do, I say mentally. He moves a palm up my thigh and cups my ass under the dress. “But here you are, practically begging me to fuck you.” His hand flies off my mouth at the harsh bite I deliver .

“Who said I stopped hating you?” He quickly covers it again, harsher this time. I struggle against him.

“The only thing I want to hear right now is the sound of you coming around my fingers. Maybe that’ll make you shut up for once.”

His dirty words make me seethe, but I hold back on the biting, knowing it’ll get me nowhere, and right now, I need to feel more.

Finally, he makes his way up to my lace underwear and groans at the contact.

“You’re fucking soaked.” I shiver at his dirty words. “Have you been this turned on since I admitted to wanting you?”

Still refusing to give all the way in, I shake my head, and his touch ceases. “Don’t lie to me, Kamila. Have you been wet since you saw me admit that I want to fuck you?” His voice is hot against my neck, causing goosebumps to travel across my body.

The words make me whimper, and I know he has me right where he wants me. Giving in, I slowly nod.

“That’s what I thought.” Suddenly, his calloused fingers are underneath my thong and three are thrust inside of me, causing both pleasure and pain. I scream, but it’s muffled against his hand.

He growls. “Do you want me to keep going?” After mumbling my agreement, he starts fucking me with his fingers, fast and hard. I moan and scream through all of it. I’m no longer focused on what’s wrong and what’s right. There is no thinking, there’s only feeling and this feels amazing.

My body clenches around him, and he doesn’t miss it.

“I want to see your face when I make you come.” He turns me around, still keeping a hand on my mouth. My eyes widen when I realize how quickly he got me to my orgasm.

It’s the intensity between us. It’s his words. His demands. They’re dirty and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Shit, I’m close. He feels it and responds by pressing his body closer to mine. His thumb finds my clit .

“That’s right, Kamila, come for me. Come all over my hand.” That alone is enough to set me off. He shuts me up with a kiss, soaking in the sounds of my release.

My mind is hazy and my breathing unsteady.

That was…it was…

“We’re not done yet.”
