The Betrayed Bride’s Stolen Endorsement

The Betrayed Bride’s Stolen Endorsement

By Lila Winslow

Prologue

I chased Xiao Yuan for five years.

I wrote him countless love songs.

Every year, I saved him an exclusive seat at the Concert.

Too bad he never came. Not even once.

Later, Xiao Yuan threw a fortune at his first love and escorted her through the whole entertainment industry.

That was when people finally understood. Xiao Yuan was not untouched by love.

The person just was not me.

For the last invitation, I wanted to give myself an answer for all these years.

He pushed the ticket back to me, his voice mild. "I don't like going to places that are too loud."

I smiled and said okay.

The returned ticket crumpled in my palm. I kept the disappointment off my face.

I thought, after writing bitter love songs for so many years, it was time for a change.
