Chapter 24 A Folder of Shares
I covered my face, helpless. "Didn't you just say you were good in bed?"
"My theory is solid, I learn fast, I work out every day, the hardware is excellent. Of course I'd be good." Xiao Yuan was still kneeling. "Xu Zhiyi, consider me. I'm clean, useful, and I listen to you."
I looked at him a few times with no expression, then suddenly said, "You should know what's standing between us."
Love that couldn't be treasured. The pain of a whole heart ignored. Five years.
I couldn't forgive that lightly.
It would make my love cheap.
What lay between us was not only silence.
He had to know.
I turned and got out of the car cleanly.
A week later, the third stop of my Concert opened in Rongcheng.
While I was getting ready in the dressing room, Xie Kun came to see me with a bouquet. Behind him was Shen Xinrui.
First Xie Kun saw me alone. His attitude was set very low. The first thing out of his mouth was, "On behalf of Haohai Media, I want to thank you for these years, and apologize."
I froze for a second.
Xie Kun sat across from me. He stopped with the polite lines. His apology sounded sincere, his words plain. He even told me about the personnel changes Xiao Yuan made at Haohai after I left.
Then he took out a folder. "I still hope you'll look at this. I know you don't want to take it, but from my personal view, I hope you will. You won't lose anything anyway."
I opened it, saw the share ratio, and looked up in shock. "Has Xiao Yuan lost his mind?"
Xie Kun shrugged. "For a profit-first businessman to bleed this much, maybe that's how he shows love."
"Also, do you want to see Shen Xinrui? Bringing her was my decision.
I poured too much into her in the early days.
I'm not Xiao Yuan. I really can't drop everything," Xie Kun said.
"She's having a hard time. After she was dropped she couldn't even see Xiao Yuan.
If she wants to turn things around now, she can only ask you. "
I looked at him quietly. "That smear trending post she liked was a dirty rumor about me."
"I understand." Xie Kun stood and bowed to me. "I apologize to you again."
I didn't say yes or no. As Xie Kun walked out he suddenly paused and turned.
"Right. These last few times you stopped sending tickets to Haohai and Haohai's partner companies.
Xiao Yuan regretted it so hard his guts turned green.
Last week when tickets dropped, he got more than twenty people to grab them for him. "
I smiled. "Tell him my Concert is too loud. It doesn't suit him."
