Epilogue
Months later, Melissa calls, and well, let’s just say Jack decides it’s time for a change.
He makes it clear to her that he is going to be spending a lot of time with his wife, and whatever decisions have to be made with the company will go through the partners. For right now, his priority is taking care of his wife and his babies.
Yes, I am pregnant with twins.
And this time, Jack wants to spend every moment with our babies.
“They will want for nothing,” he says to me. “And I don’t mean financially alone. I’m going to be the best dad. It’s time for me to do so this time around.”
Let’s just say I agree.
Besides, he says, “You’re going to be too busy with your designs. It’s time for you to make it happen.”
And I agree.
Let’s just say life is beautiful. It’s perfect now. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
His mom also notices a change in him.
“Whatever you’ve done, it’s good for him,” she says. “You’re the perfect wife, and I’m very proud of your successful venture. I see you’ve already made it into the top magazines, and your name is everywhere. I couldn’t ask for anyone better to be my son’s wife.”
I smile in appreciation.
