The temp agency’s early morning call still hums in my head as I push through Woodward I feel like I’m staring at an uncharted map, uncertain where it leads.
Clare leans forward, setting her slim tablet aside. “This isn’t just about saving a billionaire’s trust fund or a two-hundred-year-old company. It’s also about you—your future.”
As I consider her words, Clare fixes me with a pointed stare. “Sign on, and you won’t just be helping the company, you’ll change your own story. Turn your back, and you’ll remain one of a million struggling dreamers.”
