I stood at the front of the Rainbow Room with my hands in my pockets, staring out at Manhattan. Sixty-five floors up, and the city had never looked more beautiful. I’d been up here before. I’d attended dinners, charity events, and enough corporate functions at Rockefeller Center to know the place well. But I’d never seen the Rainbow Room look like this.
