?A kiss seals two souls for a moment in time.?

I wasted no time in responding back. I immediately threw my arms around his neck and his slid to my waist. I stepped back and my back hit the door but we didn't stop. Our lips were hot against each other. We were in no rush. It was a slow and passionate kiss, one that had my toe curling.

We pulled back for a bit, smiling at each other before our lips met again. I reached a hand out behind me and opened my door. We stumbled inside but paid no attention to our surroundings although I did hear him kick the door close behind him.

We were moving but were unaware of the direction. Our feet moved to wherever there was space to move. For a moment, I was pressed against the study table with my elbow resting on it to support myself and him leaning on me as we continued to ravish each other and then we were moving again.

I felt myself lowering down and then my back was met with the soft bed. Ethan climbed on top of me and we continued where we left off. By then I was pretty sure I had made a nest out of his hair because of me excessively bunching it up and pulling at it.

I stopped abruptly to let out a laugh. He sat up, confused and still straddling me.

"What's so funny?"

I grabbed his arms and pulled him down next to me and now I was straddling him. "Do you remember that night you accidentally came into my room?"

He sat up, a flash of recognition passing his features. "Of course, the day I got to know how it felt like to get kicked in the balls."

"I'm so sorry! But we were wrestling with each other that night, getting on top of each other. This reminded me of that time."

"Except now we aren't trying to kill each other." He pecked my lips. "I should've kissed you back then. I can't believe I wasted so much time on my childish dislike of you when I could've been with you, could've been able to hug you and kiss you."

I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. "You probably would've gotten kicked in the balls again if you had kissed me then."

He chuckled, the movement of his lips tickling my neck and creating pleasurable pulsing sensations all over my body.

We pulled away and I gently pushed him down on the bed and hovered above him.

I took off my top. Ethan kept staring at me and let out a small "whoa."

I didn't give him much time to react because I captured his lips in a kiss. My hands roamed down to the bottom of his shirt and I pulled at it. Our lips disconnected for a mere seconds for him to take his shirt off and then they glued again.

We were both breathing heavily but it seemed like oxygen wasn't the top priority for us right now.

His lips traveled down and he began peppering kisses on my neck. When he reached my shoulder blade and my bra strap became an obstruction in his path, he hooked two fingers under it and slid it down my shoulder.

In an instant my hands reached behind my back to unhook my bra. Clearly I was feeling a lot horny today and I didn't give proper thought to this because his hands reached mine and he stopped me. He shook his head and buried his face in my neck.

"What...happened?"

"Too soon. I'm not ready." He said and added. "We're not ready."

"Oh, sorry." I said, embarrassed.

"Why are you saying sorry?" He smiled and kissed me lightly. "We should take it slow."

I nodded. "I'll go get ready for bed. Are you...going to sleep here?"

"May I? If you don't want to, I'll go back."

"No," I said very quickly. "Stay."

He gave me a bright smile. "I'll wait for you."

I nodded and sprinted to the bathroom. Once I locked the door, I pulled my hair in embarrassment.

Was I about to sleep with him? I know it wouldn't be a big deal but I was a virgin and still didn't know where I had got all that confidence to take off his shirt and be ready to take off my bra as well.

I took longer to brush my teeth. Just to stall more time, I shaved although it wasn't necessary and then finally put on a loose t-shirt and shorts shorter than what I had worn before.

When I got out, Ethan was already in his pajamas. He must've gone back to his room to get ready for bed seeing that I was taking too long.

I stood at the doorway for a few seconds in panic as to what I should do next. We have slept together in the same bed before but it was when he was intoxicated. Now he was fully sober.

"Are you feeling a little awkward?" He had noticed my uncertainty.

"A little." I admitted, smiling sheepishly.

"Don't be. Come here." He gestured for me and I walked towards him and got into the bed. I was almost lying on the edge of the bed.

Ethan chuckled and shifted closer to me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me to him. My face pressed against his neck and I looked up at him, a little overwhelmed by our closeness even thought we had just had a heavy makeout session fifteen minutes ago.

"Let's not be awkward around each other. Let's say things we want to say, hug each other when we want to and kiss as well."

He rested his forehead against mine.

"I like you." He whispered. That was probably the most beautiful thing I had heard.

"I like you too." I admitted and we went for a kiss at the same time.

This was the best night of my life here. I was with someone I liked a lot. Maybe it was even love.

We kissed and kissed and whispered sweet nothings to one another and somewhere after that, we fell asleep.

I could say this was the happiest morning of my life.

Waking up to Ethan next to me was pure bliss.

We were both sleeping on the opposite edges of the bed although I remembered we were wrapped in an embrace when we fell asleep last night.

I rolled towards him and wrapped an arm around his bare torso.

He shifted and popped an eye open, smiling at me lazily.

"Let's sleep for a few more minutes." He said tucking my head under his chin and wrapping an arm around my waist.

I nodded and snuggled into his warmth and drifted off to sleep.

When I opened my eyes again, Ethan was sitting up on my bed, buttoning up his shirt.

"Did you have a good sleep?" He asked.

"Yeah, you?"

"I did, I'd love to sleep some more but I need to get ready. I said a few minutes but we ended up sleeping for half an hour."

"Do you need to be at work right now?"

"Yes but I'm running late. I might have to skip breakfast or eat something when I get there."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You are not going to skip breakfast because I know once you get there, you'd be so immersed in your work that you'd forget to eat."

"Can't say it hasn't happened before." He said sheepishly.

"That's why I'm going to get ready in a few minutes and then we're going to have breakfast together."

"Do I have a choice?"

"Nope."

He smiled softly at me. "Fine, I'll go shower now. I'm going to give you ten minutes."

"I'll be ready before you!" I called out as he gathered his things.

"Let's see." He said, before closing the door.

I quickly ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth in two minutes after which I jumped in the shower and took a quick one.

Like I said, I got ready before him because just as I stepped out of my room, he stepped out of his precisely three seconds after me.

"See, I told you I'll be ready before you." I said proudly.

He walked towards me and lifted me up by my waist before twirling me in a circle. "Do you want a prize for that?"

"I wouldn't mind it." I said before pressing my lips to his. "But we should get to breakfast. We don't want you to be late," I said between kisses.

"I'm already late." He pecked my lips. "So a few more minutes wouldn't matter."

We awkwardly shuffled towards the stairs while still kissing.

We only pulled back when we heard something fall down and break.

Samara stood at the other end of the hallway, staring at us like a deer caught in headlights. In her hand was a cloth used for cleaning and on the floor by her feet was an antique piece which now laid in a million pieces. Her mouth was a perfect circle.

We immediately sprung apart from each other. I couldn't stop staring at her while Ethan started scratching at the wall with his finger as if examining and finding some fault in the layout of the wall or the paint.

"God, I'll be late. I need to have breakfast." He said and briskly climbed down the stairs.

Samara shook her head and she closed her mouth. She looked down and gasped.

"I'm so sorry." She said, bending down to hastily pick up the broken pieces.

I walked towards her and crouched next to her. "It's okay." I said although I wasn't sure if it was. I didn't know how much this antique piece must have cost.

We awkwardly began piling pieces together even though she said that I shouldn't.

"Samara, about what you saw, can you not tell anyone about it?"

"I saw nothing. Don't worry."

"Thanks."

"It's just that I was so shocked. I thought you two hated each other."

"Not anymore."

"Go have breakfast. I'll clean this up."

"Alright, thanks."

I descended down towards the kitchen and saw that Ethan was laying down plates for the two of us. As we had woken up pretty late, the others already had their breakfast.

"Well that was embarrassing." I said, making my presence known to him.

He looked up with a faint trace of blush on his cheeks. "Sorry for leaving you there alone."

"It's alright I got it. I told her not to tell anyone and she's not going to."

He sighed in relief. "I thought I was going to get kicked out by your father."

I smirked. "Why? Are you afraid of him?"

"No, it's because I don't know how he'll react to me dating his precious little daughter."

"Don't worry. I told you that he said he doesn't mind if something was going on between us as long as it wasn't a fling. His exact words."

"Then he really has nothing to worry about."

I blushed. "That's good to hear. So what are your plans for today?"

"Go to work, come for lunch, kiss you a lot, go to work, come for dinner, kiss you a lot and talk to you until I fall asleep next to you."

I chuckled. I was busy piling pancakes on our plates when I felt his chin rest on my shoulder and he started helping me out with the pancakes while placing a quick kiss on my cheek or neck every now and then.

I turned in his arms. "Let's save this for the bedroom. We don't want my mom or my dad catching us like how Samara did."

He immediately seemed aware of our surroundings and looked around to see if there were any prying eyes watching us. There were none thankfully.

Only us two were at the breakfast table. We fed each other from our plates and it felt like we had been together for days and not just from last night.

After breakfast it was time for him to go to work. He went to his room to collect his phone and watch and I followed to give him a goodbye kiss.

"Come early, will you?" I asked, pouting as I rested my back on his door.

He turned towards me. "I will."

"I'll be back before you realize that I was gone." He said, putting his things on a table. He wrapped me in a hug, swaying us slightly.

"I'll wait for you." I pulled back and pecked his lips.

He kissed my forehead and my cheeks.

"I really need to go." He said but pulled me into a deep kiss instead.

"No one's stopping you." I chuckled.

"Okay, okay. I'll go now." He fumbled to unlock the door, all the while kissing me and once we were in the hallway we maintained a few feet of distance between us.

I bid him goodbye and immediately after started missing him.

"Since when did Ethan start caring about you?"

I was in the kitchen looking for an evening snack when I was startled by the voice from behind. I turned to face Olivia. She looked better than the last time I had talked to her.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean why did Ethan see me after lunch to talk to me about why we were not on good terms. It doesn't even concern him?"

"He talked to you about it? What did he say?"

"He said that he noticed we weren't friendly like we used to and gave me this long lecture about how important friends are and that we shouldn't let trivial things come in between friendships." She sounded annoyed.

Inside I was bursting with joy over the fact that he thought of talking to Olivia for me but I didn't let it show. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to tell her that Ethan and I had just started dating.

"Only he doesn't know that this isn't a trivial matter I'm mad at you over." She added.

I slammed the water jug I had in my hands. "If you have no intention of telling me what that matter is, then you can leave. I was having a good time until you came along."

"As if I wanted to talk to you." She scoffed. "I was only here to tell you to not ask other people to interfere in our matters when they know nothing about it."

"In case you didn't notice, I'm also one of those people who know nothing about what this 'matter' is between us."

She didn't answer me, instead choosing to let out a long sigh before leaving.

Olivia was really starting to irritate me with her childishness.

It was after dinner and Ethan and I were lying in my bed next to each other. I had my head in his shoulder with my hand on his chest and he had one arm wrapped around my shoulder. We were flipping through channels on the TV searching something worthy to watch.

"Did you talk to Olivia after lunch?"

He looked at me. "I told her to not tell you. Your friend isn't really trustworthy."

I sighed.

"Did it not go well?"

"Yeah, it didn't. I'm starting to think we'll never go back to being friends." I said ruefully.

"Don't think that. I'm sure she'll come around."

I shook my head. "I don't think so. I've been friends with her for two years.

" In reality, I had being friends with her for more than two years but this had to fit with my story.

"And we've had a fair share of fights but this feels different.

Whatever she's mad at me for is big this time.

It's very serious and it's starting to scare me because I don't want to lose her. "

"I'll be here if you ever need my help."

"Thanks."

"I was wondering at what point things started to go wrong. Surely you must have detected her early signs of withdrawal."

I racked my brain to search for the answer but it was clear each time. This all started when I told her that she couldn't be with Tristan.

But I couldn't tell him that because that would lead to a whole round of him questioning me.

"I don't know. It was slow so I didn't really notice and then one day she just felt distant."

I felt terrible lying to his face.

"Do you have something else you want to tell me?"

His question puzzled me.

But I has an answer. Yes, I had something to tell him. My secret.

"Not really."

His features contorted in what I thought to be disappointment but it was ridiculous, he had nothing to be disappointed about.

Maybe he was just disappointed that I couldn't remember when exactly Olivia started to be different towards me.

I shook my head to get rid of thoughts about Olivia.

"Let's not talk about Olivia. It makes me sad."

"Right, sorry." He paused to think. "Then can I ask you something else?"

"What is it?"

He looked at me, forcing me to look back at him. "When did you realize that you like me?"

I chuckled. "Well, I think it was soon after you hinted that you liked me, when you cornered me in the hallway when I was running after you demanding what I did wrong because you had been avoiding me for a month."

He smiled faintly.

"And when did you realize?"

"It was at Brooke and Brian's wedding."

"What happened there?"

"We were talking to Brian after the ceremony and one of his friends asked how he realized that he was in love with Brooke and that she was the one.

And his answer...his answer scared me because I saw myself in that position and at that time I couldn't imagine liking you, my childhood enemy who I thought only knew how to throw money every where and was bratty and a snob. "

I hit his shoulder. "What was his answer?"

"It was cheesy. He said that he started wanting to spend time with her and when he wasn't with her, he was constantly thinking about her.

He enjoyed the time they spent together and missed her when he couldn't see her.

He'd always look forward to when he'll see her again and it got to a point where he couldn't imagine going through a day without her.

That was when he knew he loved her. And I knew I was doing everything and feeling everything he had. "

"And yet you avoided me like I was a disease."

"I didn't want to like you."

"Yeah, yeah. I was a snobby little brat to you whom you didn't want to like at all."

"Not anymore," He murmured and kissed me deeply to prove his point.
