LINDY: Practice is over. Question of the day before you head back to the locker room, y’all. Thanksgiving week, boys! What's your go-to dish?
JOSH: I'm frying a turkey this year. Watched three YouTube videos. It's going to be perfect.
GRAHAM: Pumpkin pie. And yes, I get it twice. Canadian Thanksgiving in October, American in November.
TYLER: That's not fair. Why can't I be Canadian?
GRAHAM: Because you're from California and that’s not even close.
AIDEN: Maple-glazed sweet potatoes. My parents have a place in Vermont where we bottle our own syrup, so I'm bringing the real stuff.
LIAM: I'm bringing brisket. Because that's how we do Thanksgiving in Texas.
AIDEN: You're literally from New England, Crash. Where they had the first Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims didn't have brisket.
LIAM: The Pilgrims didn't know what they were missing.
KEVIN: As the native Texan, unlike Crash, I've got plans with family, so I'm not going to Thanksgiving with the guys at Beartrand's, but if I was, I'd bring green bean casserole. Lots of fried onions on top.
LINDY: There you have it. Fried turkey facilitated by Internet videos, double Thanksgiving bragging rights, and brisket from a guy who thinks the Pilgrims should have been Texan. Happy Thanksgiving from your Austin Stampede!
