Chapter Forty - Five #3

He positions himself above me, his body aligned with mine, eyes locked on mine as he slowly pushes forward. There's a brief moment of resistance, then he's inside me, filling me completely.

The sensation is overwhelming—not just physically, but magically. The moment we join, our energies fuse, gold and crimson becoming a new color altogether, a shade that has no name in human language.

"Oh," I gasp, unprepared for the intensity.

"I know," he breathes, remaining still to let me adjust. "It's overwhelming at first."

Slowly, he begins to move, each thrust sending waves of physical pleasure and magical energy coursing through me. It's different than my experiences with Malachi and Elias, which were profound and reverent, this is wild, uninhibited, joyful.

"Let me feel you," he encourages, picking up pace. "Don't hold back."

I stop trying to contain the sensations, allowing my magic to flow freely, meeting his with each movement of our bodies. The light around us pulses brighter, faster, matching our rhythm.

His hands grip my hips, adjusting the angle until I cry out with pleasure. He grins, satisfaction evident in his expression. "There we go."

Everything intensifies—the physical sensations, the magical energy, the connection between us growing stronger with each passing second. I can feel him not just physically but mentally, emotionally—his desire, his wonder, his unexpected tenderness.

"Asher," I gasp, feeling something building within me, a crescendo of pleasure and power approaching its peak.

"I know," he says, his movements becoming more urgent. "Together, Sage. Let it happen."

When the wave finally breaks, it's unlike anything I've experienced—pleasure so intense it borders on pain, magic so powerful it seems to rewrite reality around us. I cry out, back arching off the cushions, as golden light explodes from within me, meeting his crimson energy in a blinding flash.

In that moment of perfect union, I feel it form—the binding, a connection that goes beyond physical pleasure, beyond even magic itself. Something ancient and profound, tying my essence to his, his to mine.

As we both come down from the peak, trembling and breathless, I feel a burning sensation around my right wrist. Looking down, I see a crimson band forming, the exact color of Asher's magic, nestled perfectly against the other two.

Asher lifts his own wrist, displaying an identical band in my golden hue. "Well," he says, voice still unsteady, "that was something else."

I laugh, the sound bubbling up from somewhere deep inside me. "Is that your professional assessment?"

He grins, looking younger somehow, the perpetual mask of amusement temporarily replaced by genuine joy. "Absolutely. Very professional."

He rolls to his side, pulling me against him, one hand tracing patterns on my skin. Through our new connection, I can feel his contentment, his lingering pleasure, and beneath that, a sense of wonder he's trying to hide.

"You can feel me now, can't you?" I ask softly. "My emotions."

He nods. "And you can feel mine. It'll be stronger at first, while the binding settles. Eventually, you'll learn to control how much passes between us."

I trace the crimson band on my wrist. "What happens now? With this? With us?"

"Now," he says, pressing a kiss to my temple, "we face Malachi's inevitable fury, Elias's scholarly disapproval, and Gideon's stoic judgment."

Despite his light tone, I sense genuine concern beneath. "Are you worried?"

"About facing them? No." He pulls back slightly to look at me. "About what this means for you? Yes."

"Why?"

His expression grows serious. "Because you're now bound to three warlocks, something that hasn't happened in recorded history. Because the council is still hunting you. Because we still don't fully understand what you are or what you're capable of."

I consider his words, feeling the weight of them. "I don't regret it," I tell him honestly.

"No regrets here either," he assures me, his trademark grin returning. "Though I am looking forward to seeing Malachi's face when he realizes what's happened."

I groan, burying my face against his chest. "He's going to be furious."

"Apocalyptically," Asher agrees cheerfully. "But don't worry. I've been annoying Malachi for centuries. I'm quite good at it."

Through our new connection, I sense his genuine lack of concern, his absolute confidence that he can handle whatever comes next. It's reassuring, in its way.

"So what's the next lesson?" I ask, deliberately changing the subject.

He laughs, the sound vibrating through his chest against my cheek. "Already eager for more? I've created a monster."

"You've created a student who appreciates your teaching methods," I correct, surprising myself with my boldness.

His hand slides down my back, pulling me closer. "In that case, I think lesson four might be about endurance."

As his lips find mine again, as our magic begins to rise once more, I push all thoughts of consequences from my mind. Tomorrow will bring whatever it brings. For tonight, I'll embrace this new connection, this new aspect of my power.

For tonight, I'll simply enjoy the lesson.
