Chapter 3 Questioning the Professor

Shen Xingye didn't sound guilty.

So was it my white moonlight, my gentle, elegant Senior—Qi Qian?

My ultimate comfort.

My first love.

Back then, I'd run away from my engagement party with Fu Zeyan just to follow him abroad.

Though after a year of struggling without money, I'd quietly come back.

Qi Qian still had no idea that during our "study abroad" days, I'd been juggling him and Fu Zeyan.

We'd survived the hardest times together.

And now he was cheating on me?

I dialed him immediately.

"Senior, where are you?"

He paused, then chuckled softly.

"Little glutton, smelled the food already?"

"You said last time you missed my braised pork ribs. I'm off today—buying ingredients at the market right now!"

"I'll be at your place soon. Remember to open the door."

Suspicion crept in. "At this hour? Grocery shopping?"

Qi Qian laughed. "A rich miss like you wouldn't know about poor people's early markets."

"Wholesale opens at four or five. Freshly butchered pork—still twitching!"

"Anything else you want? I'll cook it for you."

Tears welled up.

He was so good to me—how could I doubt him?

Anyone in the world could betray me, but not Qi Qian.

Still, I asked, "Are you alone?"

"No, actually. My mom's with me."

"We're heading to your place after—she'll help tidy up!"

"?!!"

Thank god the address I'd given him was my grandfather's old Su family mansion.

Otherwise, he and Shen Xingye would have run into each other.

I'd sacrificed so much to protect their peace of mind.

So which of my three Husbands had cheated?

I desperately needed to know.

I couldn't help texting the unknown number: "Please, please tell me which husband cheated... I'll pay anything."
