Chapter 15 The Three Husbands

Heh. No surprise at all.

When Qi Qian and Fu Zeyan's cars screeched to a stop in front of us at the same time, I went completely numb.

I stared at the ground, too scared to look up.

One was my first love, the one I could never forget.

One was my childhood sweetheart.

One was the younger boy I'd raised and adored.

I'd poured years of real feelings into each of them.

I thought I'd hidden it perfectly.

Turns out they'd known about each other the whole time.

So all my sneaking around had been pointless.

Fu Zeyan didn't seem to notice my panic. He grabbed my foot and inspected the sole.

"You hurt? Talk."

Tears welled up. I looked at him, voice breaking. "Wah... Fu Zeyan..."

He wrapped me in his cashmere coat.

"Don't cry. Husband's got you."

"That Pei Muchen kid dares touch my wife? He won't last another day in this country."

Qi Qian pulled out a plaid handkerchief and gently wiped the dirt from my feet, voice calm.

"This time he went too far."

"He knows Wanwan is timid, yet he still terrified her like this."

"Back then, when I knew she flew back every few days to see you and I was insane with jealousy—I still never locked her in a basement. How dare he?"

Shen Xingye lit a cigarette, took two hard drags, tossed it down, and crushed it under his boot.

"I'm going to teach that Pei Muchen kid a lesson he'll never forget."

I gaped. You're a top idol, national actor—act like it!

Qi Qian and Fu Zeyan nodded grimly.

"Anyone who touches Wanwan will regret being born."

"We three can't even bear to lay a finger on her—and he made her run barefoot on the street? I'll make him pay."

I looked at them nervously. "You guys... what are you planning to do to him?"

"He's still my Brother. He just... loves me too much..."

Fu Zeyan snapped. "I've thought his looks at you were wrong since we were kids. You're defending him even now?"

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out.

Shen Xingye turned my face to his and kissed me hard.

"Sister can't feel sorry for any other man. Only me."

Qi Qian steadied me against him and frowned. "Stop it. Wanwan clearly didn't sleep last night. Take her home to rest."

Fu Zeyan waved them off. "You two take her. I'll go have a personal chat with Pei Muchen."

Panic surged through me. I grabbed his hand. "Husband, no!"

"Please... just let it go?"

"I promise I'll never see him again."

Right then, the roar of helicopter blades thundered overhead.

I looked up.

Pei Muchen was up there, manning a mounted machine gun, staring down at us with ice-cold eyes.

"Yo! All the brothers finally showed up!"

I blinked. "???"
