Chapter 16 #2
I kiss up and down the shaft of his cock, before circling the head with my tongue.
Daire’s cock is now painfully hard.
His breathing becomes unsteady. He is struggling to hold the cup still in his shaky hands.
I smirk.
This is the best type of training.
Daire did want to know how he could serve me. I may be the one on my knees, but I am in control right now.
“Any chance,” Daire grinds out, glancing down in desperation at the slowly filling cup, “that your sweet mouth could suck my poor cock now, love?”
My eyes dance with amusement.
I rest my lips close…agonizingly close…to his twitching dick. But I don’t touch it.
Daire’s shadows wind around me, brushing over the back of my neck, shoulders, and down my spine, as if both begging and encouraging me.
I shiver.
I am wet, aching to drop my hand to circle my own clit.
But I don’t need to come myself right now. This is about my mate. Most of the time, Daire focuses the pleasure on me.
I lift my brow. “You asked for it.”
Daire flaps his wings in thrilled anticipation.
I grab him around the hips to hold him still because I am retaining the control. Then I circle the base of his cock with my hand, pumping him at the same time that I hollow my cheeks.
I suck his cock furiously —harshly — like I am sucking his soul through it.
I will make him come.
“Bloody hell.” Daire bends over, scrunching his eyes up.
He is overwhelmed at the intense pleasure, forgetting the blood dripping from his wrist into the cup. He is lost in the orgasm that I am wrenching from him.
“Freya…” He yanks his bloody arm away from the now overflowing cup and bites into it to muffle his scream as he comes.
I swallow his cum, sucking him to the point of oversensitivity.
He is shaking.
Slowly, I pull back, giving his cock kitten kisses.
Daire stares down at me with awe.
He lets go of his arm. “You’re incredible, love.”
I nuzzle at his thighs, purring. “Did you think that I would set you up to fail? You’ve just sacrificed blood and cum. Wait, we didn’t just act out some kind of ritual to summon a Shadow Devil?”
Daire laughs, licking over the bite on his arm to slow the bleeding. “I hope not. The Void Devil was bad enough. I’m not adopting a freaky Shadow Devil.”
I shudder, chilled.
I have been trying to avoid thinking about my time in the Void, but it has haunted my nightmares.
I push myself to my feet, grimacing as my sore knees protest. “I fucking hate stone floors.”
“It’s almost as if they didn’t think about making them comfortable for blow jobs when this court was designed.”
“Thoughtless.”
Daire hums his agreement, before he places the cup onto the tray again. Then after a moment’s hesitation, he rips off the bottom of his cloak. He ties the scrap of lavender wool around his wounded wrist as a bandage.
I take his wrist between my hands, checking over it. “It’s only a month. Then we’ll be together again.”
Daire’s gaze slips from mine. “Will we?”
My stomach drops. “What do you mean?”
Daire’s tormented gaze meets mine. “Spark, I need to tell you something. It’s buggering hard. There’s never going to be a right time and…someone’s watching us.”
“What?” I twirl around in shock.
“There.” Daire’s expression steels. “We’re being followed.” Daire’s wings stiffen into weapons like blades as he prowls down the corridor. “Come out, little rat.”
He reaches to grab someone by the arm and yanks them out of the shadows.
“No need to be so rough, fae,” a voice says like frozen honey. “I’m a silver dragon not a rat.”
“But you were stalking us.”
“Lurking.”
Daire throws the dragon against the wall in front of me.
I stare at Lucius, who is wearing a flowing tunic with roses stitched at the shoulders. The pretty Omega is hanging his head, avoiding my gaze.
He wrings his hands.
“I didn’t know how to approach you.” Lucius peeks at me. “How do I say, I’m sorry that my condemned traitor of a father carried out an ambush on you that could have killed you both.”
I lean against the wall, crossing my arms. “Probably like that.”
Daire glances between us. “You’re apologizing to Freya…?”
“I’m trying to. She’s my only Omega friend.”
“What about me?”
“You’re an Alpha.” Lucius’ eyes sharpen. “And we’re not friends.”
Daire grins. “I like you.”
My lips thin. “Your dad destroyed Lanlin’s sacred village. I’ve never been through anything like their ambush. We saw…all the villagers being burned…our skin was covered in their ash…”
“I didn’t know about the attack. I didn’t betray you.” Lucius’ eyes gleam with tears. “I was interrogated…they executed my family.”
“You’ve burned my villages.” Daire tilts his head. “You were there when Aurelius burned my sacred grove.”
Lucius gives Daire a long look. “The difference is that one happened because Aurelius wished it and the other was the act of a traitor. I am loyal.” When he grabs my hands, I realize that he’s shaking. “I don’t want you to think that I deceived you.”
I assess him for a long moment.
I am sure that he is behind most of Aurelius’ strategy and schemes. He’s smart. And I believe him.
I’ve never had an Omega friend before and having one who feels like he owes me will be useful.
Unexpectedly, Lucius drops to his knees in front of me.
“I’m sorry for my family’s actions. I haven’t even been in contact with them for years.
They have done nothing but abuse me my entire life, until their attempt to grab power almost led to my death alongside them.
I don’t know how to make up for what they did.
So, punish me. Beat me, then we can be friends again. ”
He looks up at me with aching hopefulness.
I feel sick.
I know the type of family he has come from that makes him believe that being punished is the answer.
Daire’s expression gentles, as he exchanges a glance with me.
Yet this conditioning of Lucius means that it will be easier for me to use him in my plan to see Lanlin.
Gently, I grab Lucius by his narrow shoulders and help him back to his feet. “No beating or punishment needed. We’re friends, okay? I don’t blame you for what your dickhead family did.”
Lucius’ shoulders slump, before he smiles.
He purrs, nuzzling against me.
“If you want to make it up to me, however, then you can help me to get into the Guild of Assassins to see my Alpha.” I rub my cheek against Lucius’. “What would you do if War was behind bars? Wouldn’t you do everything to break her out?”
Lucius’ purr abruptly breaks off, although he still rests his head against my neck. “I can’t help you to break out this kingdom’s worst enemy. It would destroy Relius, and I won’t disobey my King or hurt him.”
Daire pushes his hands into his pockets. “Who’s asking you to? You’ll simply be visiting your other friend Wraith at the Guild and having a good old chat. If Freya here happens to use that distraction to slip in behind you, well, that’s on us, right?”
“You’re a trickster. I’m growing to like you too.” Lucius shakes his head, glancing over his shoulder at Daire. “You swear that you’re only taking him that food…?”
“And blood,” I reply, “because he’s starving. Just imagine if War was being tortured and starved in that Guild.”
Lucius shudders.
“Vic once tested her games on me. I wouldn’t wish that hell on anyone, even her murderer.” He turns, strolling down the corridor. He doesn’t look around, as he calls, “I’m leaving now to see Wraith. I do hope that nobody follows me and breaks into the Guild of Assassins.”
