Chapter 24
DANIELLE
“Good morning.”
I half choke on Blake’s dick when a cheery voice greets us from the front of the house.
“Fuck,” Blake hisses, hoisting his pants up as he helps me to my feet. “It’s my mom.”
Clawing at my robe, I dab at my mouth, praying I haven’t got that just-caught-sucking-my-husband-off look about me when Blake’s mother walks into the room.
She’s a striking woman, but the circles under her eyes show that she’s missing her husband dearly.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you’d be up and dressed.” She waves a hand, giving me a warm smile. “I just thought I’d drop by since I went to the office today, and you weren’t in.”
Blake clears his throat, giving his mother a meaningful look. “Well, here we are. Coffee?”
His mom smirks as she perches on a stool, leaning close to me. “Doesn’t he have lovely manners, huh? Is he treating you well?”
“I am here, Ma.” Blake sighs from the coffee machine, resting his hands on the counter.
“I know you’re here, Blake James. You’re impossible to ignore.”
“How are you?” I ask as she turns to me with a sad expression.
“Sad. I keep thinking it’s going to get easier…but it doesn’t. I miss him every day.”
Her honesty cuts deep, and I glance at Blake, knowing I wouldn’t be able to cope with losing him again.
In any capacity.
He seems to read my mind, placing a coffee before his mom, then handing me a cup. His eyes hold my gaze, and I smile at him, losing myself in his eyes.
“Good God. You’re aware you don’t have to pretend you’re in love in front of me, right, honey?”
I’ve got a stupid smile on my face, and I sip my coffee, hoping that Blake answers for me.
“Actually, Mom…we’re not pretending.”
The silence that follows is brief as she claps her hands to her mouth. “Blake, you know you don’t have to lie to me. Your dad just wanted you to try—”
Blake gazes at me with amusement, nodding at me as I clear my throat.
“He’s not lying, Mrs. James.”
“Kayla,” she croaks out, her eyes like saucers. “Please, call me Kayla.”
“Right, sorry.”
“Don’t apologize,” Kayla says quickly, glancing between Blake and me. “I’m sorry. Can you please explain how you’ve fallen in love so quickly?”
Blake walks behind me, resting his mug beside mine as he cocoons me in his arms.
“Danielle and I dated some time back. But unfortunately, we were too young…”
“He broke my heart,” I whisper as Kayla gazes at me, her eyes shining with tears.
“Blake!” Kayla hisses, dabbing under her eyes. “Foolish man!”
“But then I got her back. She hated me at first…but she couldn’t resist my charms.”
I snort, whacking him on the arm as Kayla stares at us, dumbfounded.
“This is…quite a turn of events, Blake. I had no idea you and Danielle—well, it doesn’t matter. You’re in love. I can see it.”
Hearing someone else voice it makes me dizzy with excitement, and I nod my head enthusiastically.
“I never wanted to see him again. But yeah. He’s charming.”
“You know what else I am?” Blake grins, kissing me on my cheek. “In desperate need of a shower. Mom, are you staying or…”
His eyes move to me, and my cheeks flush beneath his suggestive gaze.
Kayla rolls her eyes, gulping down her coffee.
“Just like your father. I’ll go!”
“No, you don’t have to,” I reassure her as Blake strides over to me, picking me up bridal-style.
“She does. She’s always busy. Right, Ma?”
“Yes, but—dinner tonight at mine?”
Blake stiffens, but I nod, throwing a bright smile at my mother-in-law.
“Of course, thank you.”
Kayla watches us walk up the stairs, a faraway look in her eyes. “Okay, I’m going! Love you.”
Blake calls that he loves her too, as the door to the house shuts quietly behind her.
“I can’t believe you kicked your mother out so we can fuck,” I gasp as he drops me onto the bed, crawling over me.
“Who said anything about fucking? You were mid-blow job, as I recall.”
“You’re really something; you know that?” I laugh, shaking my head. “I’m getting in the shower.”
“Good idea, Mrs. James.” Blake follows me into the bathroom, holding onto the doorframe, his biceps straining as he watches me shake my robe off.
“Fuck, Danielle, you’re gonna need to get on your knees, baby.”
I turn to him, ready to argue, when I find his hand gripping his angry cock. It’s stiff and throbbing, and I sashay over to him, falling softly to my knees.
“Look at me, Danni.”
As my tongue wets the salty tip, he bites his lip, his hand taking a fistful of my hair.
“Fuck yes.”
I drag my tongue along the length, pressing it down against the thick vein that throbs beneath it.
He tugs my hair back, staring into my eyes as I swallow his dick, not once breaking eye contact.
His balls slap against my chin as he slams into my mouth, his eyes rolling back as the room begins to steam up.
“Shower,” he commands gruffly, lifting me to my feet.
My back slams against the wall, and within seconds, my legs are lifted around his waist, his cock thrusting into me as we both gasp and moan.
I’m gripping onto him for my life, but he holds me in place, his hands bouncing me up and down as his tongue meets mine.
When he fills me, I moan with appreciation, and he shakes his head.
Water cascades around us, but Blake doesn’t even seem to notice.
“Pack your things, Danielle,” he murmurs, easing me back to my feet.
I’m still gripping onto his neck, but now I’m terrified.
Pack?
“I don’t understand,” I whisper, my heart filling with dread. “You want me to leave?”
Blake strokes my cheek, his eyes softening as he exhales. “Oh, Danni, you think I’d do that to you? I’m never leaving you again, and you’re sure as fuck not getting away from me so easily.”
Relief, sweet relief owns me.
Thank. Fuck.
“So, what did you mean?”
Blake kisses me softly, his hands stroking my back as he whispers in my ear.
“I’m taking you on our honeymoon, darling.”
