Chapter 25 #3

Daisy pushed his hand away from his dick so she could see.

He was long and hard and leaking at the tip.

She straddled him again, leaving room between their bodies so she could admire him.

Cupping his balls and giving them a light squeeze, she pumped his cock in long slow strokes, smearing the drops of precum over the head with her thumb.

She couldn’t decide whether she liked looking at his dick or watching his face while she pleasured him better.

His head was thrown back, his eyes closed, his curly hair messy in that sexy just-fucked way.

Dark stubble was starting to cover his jaw.

He was so beautiful her chest ached. Connor was everything she desired wrapped into one wonderful human being.

She loved him, but she refused to blurt that out during sex. Especially the first time. Instead, she placed a soft kiss on his lips and rolled the condom on.

She took her time sliding onto him, impaling herself and enjoying the stretch of her body around his.

She buried her face in his neck, his arms circling her, holding her close.

When she was fully seated, she let herself relax, getting used to him and enjoying being as close as two humans could be.

She’d had sex. With a few partners. But it had never been so intimate.

It had never meant so much. Connor didn’t rush her, didn’t thrust into her, didn’t try to make her move.

He held her close, gathering her hair and bringing it over a shoulder.

He stroked her back, making her shiver, and peppered her with gentle kisses.

It dawned on Daisy that this, the intimacy, the lack of urgency, the gentleness—this was what people meant when they called it making love. This was everything.

When she did move, it was slow and steady, testing.

The slide of him inside her set her nerves alight again, and soon she quickened her pace, his hands on her ass, guiding her up and down on his dick and driving them both wild.

Her orgasm built slowly and steadily this time, coming in gentle waves.

She fluttered around him, and he followed her over the edge.

She relaxed against his chest, and he nuzzled into her. They sat like that for a long time, breathing the same air, marveling in each other’s company until Connor whispered, “I need to take care of the condom or this is going to be a mess.”

Daisy whined, and Connor chuckled at her displeasure. “Fine then, you get to sleep in the wet spot.”

She sighed, reluctant to get up. But he was right. She should also pee. They took care of their after-sex needs and climbed into bed. Connor let Daisy be the big spoon, and Daisy fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Waking up wrapped in Connor would’ve been incredible if an incessant dinging hadn’t woken her.

She blindly reached toward the bedside table trying to silence whatever was making the noise, but her fingers came up empty.

She groaned and rolled away from a dead to the world Connor, unable to relax or sleep with the intermittent interruptions.

She wiped the sleep from her eyes and found her phone. Roxie had texted her thirty times.

Daisy brushed her teeth while she waited for Roxie to answer the phone. Of course she’d call a zillion times and then be unavailable when Daisy called back; that’s how it always went.

Daisy called three times before Roxie picked up, but when she did answer, it was with a squeal Daisy swore almost burst her eardrum. “Jesus, Roxie, are you okay?” Daisy whispered.

“I’m at your apartment. Where are you?” Roxie was eating, her food noises turning Daisy’s stomach.

She heard movement from the bedroom, so she cracked the bathroom door open and put the phone on speaker while she combed her hair and slathered on skin care products. “I stayed over at Connor’s.”

Roxie let out another horrible screech that had Daisy fumbling her eye cream, the cap coming dangerously close to falling down the drain before she caught it.

She rinsed it off before capping the tube.

Connor peeked his head around the door. The morning after always felt awkward for Daisy.

She’d never been comfortable making herself at home or walking around naked, but with Connor, it was easy as breathing.

She waved him in, and he circled his arms around her, his morning wood pressed into her ass. He rested his chin on her shoulder.

“Good morning,” he whispered to her and kissed her neck before he raised his voice to greet their friend. “Good morning, Roxie.”

“Connor! Good morning. I called to tell Daisy she needs to check the business email for our podcast. I’ll wait.”

Daisy opened the mail app on her phone. Connor’s hand roamed her body in lazy strokes, diminishing her ability to concentrate.

She wanted to close her eyes, lean her head back, and enjoy the attention he lavished on her.

Instead, she spent their first morning together on the phone with Roxie.

A new message sat at the top of her inbox, marked urgent with a big red exclamation point.

She opened it and almost dropped her phone.

“Oh my God.”

“I know,” Roxie agreed, the excitement in her voice evident.

When Daisy and Roxie had started the podcast, the goal had been to become a regular media presence for the team.

They had estimated it would take years. Their interview with Hazy and the few exclusive comments they’d gotten from the Connors gained them popularity quicker than expected, but neither of them guessed they’d ever be on the Freeze’s PR radar in any meaningful way.

Proof to the contrary existed, right in the palm of Daisy’s hand.

The team had invited their podcast to watch that night’s game in the press box and attend post-game media availability.

Daisy bounced with excitement, turning in Connor’s arms to share her joy. He smiled at her and she froze.

“Wait! Did you do this?” she asked him.

He grinned and shook his head. “Nope. If I had known this is the reaction I’d get, I would have. But...” he scrunched up his face, “I wouldn’t put it past any of the other guys. If I had to bet, this has Lover’s name all over it.”

“You know what?” Roxie said. “I don’t care. We’re going to the game tonight. As press. I’m so excited. When can you get home so we can prep?”

Daisy wasn’t ready to go. She wanted to take full advantage of the naked man in front of her. “Umm,” she hesitated, knowing she should meet Roxie ASAP.

Connor pulled her phone from her hands and spoke into the mic.

“Give us a bit. We’ll see you soon.” He hung up the phone without waiting for her to reply and set it aside, scooping Daisy into his arms and carrying her to the bed.

She laughed and enjoyed the weight of him pressing her into the mattress.

He showered her with kisses and teasing caresses that made her squirm and giggle.

As he kissed his way down her body, his intent dawned on Daisy, and she stilled his movement with a hand in his hair, for some reason embarrassed by what she needed to say.

“Connor, stop.”

He responded immediately, his hands stopped their roaming and came to a rest on her waist. His kisses ceased the second she said the words.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, concern lacing his expression.

Daisy rubbed at the twinge in her chest. It hadn’t been this easy every time she’d told a partner to stop.

A lot of times it came with an argument, or blatant disregard. But not with Connor. Never with Connor.

She cleared her throat and ignored the way her face heated. There was no room for embarrassment or shame between them.

“I, um.” She cleared her throat again. “I don’t do unsafe sex. Like at all.”

A crease formed between his brow and he said, “Okay?” dragging the word out like a question.

Daisy realized sex education wasn’t always thorough, so she covered her face with her hands in an attempt to hide and forced herself to elaborate.

“It, uh, it seemed like you were going to go down on me, and that can still transmit STIs, and I trust you, and I’m clean, but we should both get tested, and I need to see the results myself to be sure, and you can see mine if we’re planning on doing this because we should both protect ourselves and each other as best we can and that’s inconvenient and I’m ruining the mood but it’s impor—”

“Daisy, breathe.” Connor cut off her rambling and sat up, the absence of his skin against hers a loss deep in her gut.

Connor reached out and grabbed her hands, pulling them away from her face and forcing her to meet his eyes.

“We aren’t going to do anything you aren’t comfortable with.

It’s okay. If you don’t want me to eat you out, then I won’t.

If you don’t want to give me head, then we won’t do that either.

If you change your mind, we can revisit the subject.

This is supposed to be fun. I’ll get tested this week, and I’d love to see your results too. ”

Daisy nodded, absorbing the care he put into his words, her affection for him growing to unmanageable levels. “I do want to do those things. I really do. And you don’t have to, but if you wanted, I brought some dams with me.”

His amusement was apparent when he smirked at her. “That’s a little presumptuous.”

She laughed, “I like to think of it as prepared.”

He climbed off the bed, leaving her there. She rolled to her side and watched as he sauntered to the bathroom and grabbed her little leather pouch. He held it up and asked, “In here?”

She nodded, and he brought the bag to her. She pulled a dam out and tossed the bag onto the floor. Connor grabbed a bottle of lube from his nightstand and climbed on the bed, nudging Daisy’s legs open.

On full display for him, she shoved down her self-consciousness. The way he looked at her left no doubt about what he wanted.
