Chapter 5 #3
‘Fuck, Mia.’ He gasped her name, nearly prayer-like, before tilting her lips to meet his again – hungry, needy and biting – while his other hand grabbed the back of her thigh to drag her knee over his hip, shove her skirt up and out of his way so he could grind against her harder, leaving her breathless.
‘Aiden… please…’
‘Anything you want, it’s yours.’
‘Please tell me you have something right now.’ She hardly recognised her own voice and she wasn’t sure she’d make it to the bedroom and back for her own stash.
‘Wallet. Back pocket.’ The words were groaned into her skin.
Her fingers were clumsy. How was she supposed to concentrate when he was doing that?
She reached for his belt and he stepped back, giving her room, but she had to bite back a whimper at the cool air suddenly between them.
She tore at the crinkly packet, nearly dropping it when his fingers hooked around her underwear and pushed them down, then stroked back up her thighs, hesitating inches from where she needed him.
He looked at her, a question in his eyes, and she nodded.
It was only fair. She was touching him, rolling it on with the quick, experienced moves she was incredibly grateful to have practised enough at work for them to be basically muscle memory.
There was no way she could have relied on her brain for anything after his fingers hit her hot, needy skin.
‘Thank goodness for bananas, huh?’
‘Ungh.’ The sound was dragged from her on ragged breath as his fingers slid easily against her, finding a spot that exploded shivers through her.
The next touch made her knees shake and he pushed her back against the wall, his weight steadying her as she wrapped her leg back around him, rolling her hips to get the position she wanted.
Aiden moaned and shifted too, moving his hand from the delicious things it was doing and wrapping around her knee to support her as he lined himself up and slowly – achingly, tormentingly slowly – pushed into her.
If he hadn’t been holding her so wonderfully tightly she would have been writhing against him, but as it was all she could do was quiver and gasp over each slow inch until there was no space between them and he stopped, his chest heaving as he gave her time to get used to the feel and size of him.
He nuzzled against her ear, nipping at the skin there and making her shiver again. ‘You good?’
Good? So, so, so much better than that. ‘Uh-huh.’ She managed to nod, fighting to find her voice. ‘Please… I need more.’
‘I got you, Princess.’ He drew back, then thrust again in a long, gratifying move that slammed her against the wall and made them both groan.
There was no space for sweetness as he set up a pounding, harsh rhythm that had her clinging to him breathlessly, her nails dragging at his skin as he fucked her harder, his hands tight at her waist and knee as he drove into her, shoving her higher and higher into explosive bliss.
Aiden held Mia tightly, aware he was probably squashing her against the wall, but not trusting his knees to hold either of them up just yet.
She flopped, muttering something against his shoulder.
He chuckled when he heard the word “banana” and gently, carefully released her, watching to make sure she had her balance.
‘Are you OK?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Mind if I use your bathroom?’
‘Sure. Through the kitchen.’
‘Thanks.’
By the time he was done, she was in the kitchen. ‘Did you… um… want a drink or anything?’ She blushed, turning a gorgeous shade of pink that he found utterly adorable.
‘I should get going.’ He pulled a face. ‘I sort of have dinner plans.’
‘Oh. OK.’
‘It’s not a big deal, just a meal at home.’ He wanted to reassure her. ‘But I already promised.’
‘I didn’t ask, but OK.’
‘I know, but I just wanted you to know that it’s not a date or anything like that. I would stay if I hadn’t already committed myself elsewhere.’
‘You don’t need to explain.’ Mia smiled reassuringly. ‘It was just sex. Really, really good sex and exactly what I needed. But still just sex.’
‘You’re sure we’re good?’ He didn’t usually worry, but he didn’t usually shag friends for exactly this reason.
‘Yes. Are you?’
‘Yeah.’ He nodded. ‘Do you remember that favour I mentioned?’
‘The reiki?’ she asked.
‘Yeah. Would you still be up for it?’
‘Of course.’
‘Great. I’ll message you.’
‘OK.’ She shook her head, an odd look crossing her face.
‘What?’
‘Just thinking how surreal it is to be having such a normal conversation given what we were doing a few minutes ago. Is it usually like this?’
‘Discussing reiki sessions and dinner plans?’ He chuckled. ‘No. Not usually. I should probably get going.’
‘Yeah.’ Mia nodded and he followed her back to the small hallway. ‘See you next week.’ She leaned close and placed a kiss on his cheek. ‘Thanks, Aiden. Have a good weekend.’
‘You too, Princess.’ He kissed her back – another gentle, polite kiss between friends – and strolled back to where he’d left his bike, grinning the whole time.
He didn’t spot that his familiar, usually well-behaved shadow escaped for a few moments to do a jubilant hop, skip and heel kick before resuming its traditional role.
