Chapter 40 #2
I relaxed slightly in Wes’s hold, his scent soothing me.
I opened my mouth to tell him I saw Lorelei, but his hand closed over my lips before I could. A woman shrieked close by, sending a chill down my spine.
“Do not make a sound,” Wes commanded.
Something cool and edged pressed against my throat, and my adrenaline peaked, falling over a dark ledge into a delirious, mind-melting high. Somewhere deep down, I knew the blade was likely a blunt-edged play knife, but the uncertainty allowed very real fear to surge through my blood.
What if it was real? What if Wes wanted to hurt me?
My panties grew slick, my skin burning everywhere Wes touched. His free hand began to roam my body, to reach down the front of my dress and play with my breasts, to tease and pinch my nipples as I moaned against him.
“This is quite the abnormal reaction to a threat on your life, little lamb,” he teased as his hand snaked under my skirt. He found my clit and rubbed slow circles. I tried to press against his fingers, to increase the pressure, but the blade dug into my throat.
“Don’t,” he hissed. “Put your hands on the rock. Now.”
His voice was sharp, menacing, harsher than I’d ever heard from him before. It made me obey unconsciously, desperate to please him and earn back his softness. He removed the knife from my throat, and I placed my hands on the mossy stone.
“Did anyone else touch you?” he growled.
“No.” I paused. “Except for two of the subs when we held hands around a forest fire hazard and let Jayne regale us with tales of benevolent spirit possession and rough sex for world peace.”
Wes’s next words sounded like they were holding back laughter. “That’s enough speaking from you.”
He lifted my dress, the air cool against my exposed ass. I was only wearing a thong beneath. A hand came down on my flesh, the sound of a slap humiliatingly echoing through the air.
“I believe I still owe you a good ass beating after your pitiful performance last week.”
I tensed before remembering Wes was talking about Mario Party, and I almost laughed. He spanked me again, and I whimpered. The next few slaps were light, a warmup. When the next three spanks came down in quick succession, they stung, but I was better prepared.
“How are you feeling?” Wes checked in.
Surprising myself, I answered, “Really good.”
I’d put spanking as light green originally, with belts as a hard limit due to my childhood. But I’d become more curious over time, especially after my responses to Wes slapping my thigh. I wanted to know if pain turned me on as much as my fear.
And when Wes slipped a finger inside me, it would seem we both had our answer.
He groaned, yanking my head back by my hair. “Look how wet you are. You love when I hurt you, don’t you, baby?”
My voice was breathy as I struggled not to grind against Wes’s touch. “Yes.”
He removed his finger and spanked me again, until my ass surged heat and the pain veered sharply into pleasure that radiated throughout my whole body.
“The next time I catch you, I’m coming down your throat.”
Wes let go of me, thumbing my glowing red bracelet, as if to reassure himself. I slowly turned to face him, my dress falling back to cover my no-doubt scarlet red ass. The sun had almost disappeared completely beneath the horizon.
Wes was lethal in his dark jeans, black shirt, and combat boots, covered in tattoos and holding a knife in his right hand.
“If you’re able to make it back to the house before I capture you, I’ll let you come too. Ten.”
I’d heard all I needed to hear. Off I went, soaring past the boulder and around the fallen tree. I barely heard Wes make it to eight before I couldn’t hear him at all anymore.
In a small clearing, two men shared a woman on the forest floor, their bodies moving animalistically.
In the distance, I saw the cottage where Latin chanting and pretend-sacrifices had occurred.
The briefest flash of red fabric disappeared around the side of the building—so fast, I nearly missed it.
“Lorelei!” I called. “Stop! Running!”
Behind me, I heard angry voices, but my head was too floaty from my masochistic subspace to focus on so many things at once. When I made it around the cottage, Lorelei was nowhere to be found. Ahead loomed the main house.
I couldn’t run anymore. I glanced behind me, unable to see Wes. My legs were jelly, my ass on fire, my brain sufficiently melted.
I was ready for Wes to catch me and fuck me.
But I also wanted to come.
So, off I went, pitifully jogging through the trees and toward the field at the back of the house, where two more guest cottages sat. I could just barely hear moans and screams in all directions. I even heard a cry for help.
But no one yelled red.
A body collided with mine, knocking the wind out of me. Strong arms wrapped around me as I let out a raspy cry of surprise.
I was thrown over a shoulder in the next beat, exposing my red ass for anyone to see.
“I’m never running again,” I mumbled, deflated as I fought to catch my breath.
Wes snorted.
I was so dizzy and disoriented, I didn’t notice Wes was wearing different pants and shoes until we were taking the steps up to the back porch.
Wait.
I flailed in my captor’s arms. The man who was carrying me was not Wes.
