Rico

According to my phone, I’ve been sitting at this table for three hours, and eight minutes.

Luxe, the club Snow’s album release party was held, closed an hour and fourteen minutes ago. She should have been home.

But she’ll be here, so I wait. My lips twitch periodically, thinking about her. Her debut album is fire. I expect it to debut on the top of the charts. Her singles stay dominating every social media platform music can be played.

She did it. She accomplished everything she set out to. If she decided to quit today, she’d still have the legacy she wanted, stamped in this industry. Her mixtapes have always been praised, and she was able to carry that into a true body of work. A cohesive album.

Though I’m beyond proud, I’m hardly surprised. Snow has always been able to excel at whatever she sets her mind to. She has no limit. Nothing can bring her down, not even herself.

Her elevator dings, and my hand goes to my piece on the table by instinct. If she brought a nigga home on some get back, I’d have to go back on my word and kill yet another nigga ‘cause she wanna play up.

Two steps, from heels, before silence. But only one set, so I know she’s alone. Some movement, before quiet steps coming closer, getting a little louder.

There she is.

My Snow.

She rolls her eyes, but I see the small strike of fear that comes with the unknown.

I’ve been gone for a few days, handling something for Asa in exchange for Isaiah’s info.

I couldn’t step into this new chapter with any loose ends I could control.

Besides, I can’t risk any of them First Nations niggas looking too close and figuring out I’ve been around a few times under different names until we’re stamped.

She walks to the counter and places her purse and gun down, before folding her arms. She’s still upset, but we have more pressing matters to attend to.

So I stand, intent on coming to her.

“Three hundred and sixty-five days, twenty-two hours, and thirteen minutes, Snow.”

Her eyes flit to the scar on my eye. Her lovetap. I hum thoughtfully, wondering if she’d ever let me play with her how I want. She’s healed now, a clean bill of health from her neurosurgeon. And most of all, I think she’d have more fun than I would.

Her phone begins to vibrate in her purse, and she reaches for it.

Before I could form a thought, the barrel of my gun is pressed at her temple. Who the fuck is interrupting my time with her? I gave her a year; she should have tied up loose ends like I did.

“You gon’ answer that?”

She meets my gaze, answering her phone and pressing it to her other ear.

It’s a man’s voice. Snow surrounds herself with niggas who would do anything for her. The Helen of Troy of Kenton.

She tells whoever she’s going to bed. I hear the nigga tell her goodnight, and I press the barrel harder on the side of her face as I grab her phone and end the call for her.

“I couldn’t say goodnight?” she snaps.

My hand cups the side of her jaw, my thumb lifting her head so that we’re inches apart.

“You know the answer to that.”

“Why are you here, Richard?”

Still defiant. I fight to keep the smirk off my face, so she doesn’t accuse me of laughing at her. Usually, I’d be down for the back and forth, but not tonight. Not when it’s my time.

“I told you,” I say, my hand moving to the back of her neck, “it’s been three hundred, sixty-five days. What did I tell you would happen?”

Turning on the safety, I lean down even more until our lips touch. “Huh? What did I tell you, Snow?”

She’s taking too long to answer. My hand fists her hair, and then I see it.

Pupils dilated. Pure, unadulterated energy flowing, bouncing from her to me. Only I can get her like this, just like only she can make my mask of control slip without my permission.

She’s softened me. Her, and her love. Softened and molded me into the type of nigga that would move mountains and slay monsters and lay them at her feet. The type of nigga that only sees, only cares about how she feels. The type of nigga whose heart is outside of his body.

My other hand, still holding the gun, cups the side of her face. Her hands go to my arms, nails digging into my biceps.

“Rico.” My name sounds like a prayer.

I have to taste it.

She needs to have me taste her.

Her mouth is hot as I lick into it, making her moan against me. I hold her to me tight, taking everything she gives me, kneading her lips, my tongue caressing hers, making her feel how much I miss her. But it’s not enough. I have to tell her.

“Te echo de menos, mi nieve.”

A tear drops from her lid. “Speak English.”

“You done running?” I ask instead, grinding her on my dick. “Or maybe I’ll make you run a little more.”

“We shouldn’t,” she says, while tilting her head so I can run my tongue ring up her neck. “I’m not yours.”

My hand flexes, and slowly, I lean back to meet her wavering gaze.

“Every single cell in your body belongs to me, Snow,” I say, fighting to keep composure. “You fight a battle you have already lost. I gave you a year, and now it’s up. This is it, Snow.”

Recognition finally dawns on her. “This is what?”

Tucking my gun into the back of my pants, I grip her ass with both hands before lifting her up. Her legs wrap around me, making me grin.

“Our time, Snow. Our forever.”

She holds on as I walk her out of the kitchen, and down the hallway to her bedroom. Once I’m in front of her bed, I lay her down. Lust clouds her eyes as her hands rub all over me. It’s been too long, but she’ll have to wait just a little longer.

I kneel down, my hands rubbing her thighs over her pants. “Sit up.”

I’ve caught her off guard, but she sits up anyway, and begins to take off her top.

“You love me?”

Snow freezes, her eyebrows pulling down. “Um, yeah…” She sighs, before rolling her eyes. “What you do? I know you did something. If you’re gonna tell me some bullshit–”

I take the velvet box out from under the bed and hold it up to her. “Nah. No bullshit.”

With shaky hands, Snow open the box. Her dramatic ass jumps back and gasps, before shaking one hand like it’s wet, and covering her mouth with the other.

“Rico,” she breathes. Her eyes track the ring as I take it out the box and hold it out for her. “What the hell is that?”

“Well, Pooh told me today he gave my mama three carats, so I think I did good with five. Oval shaped, like you said you liked. The snowflakes surrounding it are Alexandrite, your–

“Birthstone,” she finishes for me, her eyes damn near crossing from staring at it. Tears line her lids, some escaping when she blinks. “Rico… I told you about my dream ring like fifteen years ago.”

“Unlike you, I got a good memory.”

She meets my gaze then, and I brace myself for a smart remark or even a shove, but only awe is in her eyes, and my smug grin melts into something a little more vulnerable.

“I tied up every loose end I could, because I don’t want no bullshit in this next chapter of our lives, Snow. We’ve had enough bullshit. More than enough. It’s time for something else. I’on know what; I just know whatever it is, I need you right here with me, and I need you stamped as mine.”

Snow squeals from beneath her fingers, before she shakes her head and grins at me. “Come on, wordsmith! Ask the question. Do the thing!”

Don’t keep her waiting.

“Aight, aight. Snow, will you–”

“YES! PUT THAT FUCKIN’ RING ON MY MUTHAFUCKIN’ FINGER!”

I flinch from how loud she just screamed, but I gather my bearings enough to slide it on her left hand. A perfect fit.

She squeals again, laying back to kick her feet in the air. “Oh my fucking God! Rico! You did your absolute biggest one! OMG! Okay–go take your shirt off and stand by my mirror. The sooner I take my engagement picture, the sooner I can suck ya meat to the BONE!”

I stand, chuckling as I slide my shirt off. “I don’t think that’s how it goes.”

“Whatever nigga.” She grins as she flicks me off with her new iced out finger, before rolling off the bed and meeting me at the mirror.

Placing me just how she wants, I curl into her, sucking on her neck as she drapes her left hand near my tattoo and taking as many pictures as she thinks she needs.

I slip my hand into her pants, sliding all the way to grip her pussy from the back. She’s soaked, and I know it’s not from me sucking her neck.

“You love your ring, huh?”

She leans back, and I slide my other hand down the front of her pants.

“Love is in understatement,” she moans. With all her energy, Snow shows me the picture she’s most proud of.

I have to stop fingering her. “Damn. That’s fire. Tag me when you post it.”

When she tries to lock her phone, I start digging her out again. “Nah, bae. Post that shit now. Everyone need to know you out the game.”

“Rico,” she whines, but she unlocks her phone, and posts it on her story, just as I place another finger inside of her. “Don't stop, please.”

“I’m not gon’ stop, baby. How can I? You hear how messy you’re getting? You love being a fiancée, huh?”

“Yours,” she whimpers, dropping her phone onto the ground. “Your fiancée.”

“You said you wasn’t mine in the kitchen. You changed your mind?” Her pussy smacks so lewdly as I take her higher and higher.

She squeezes my fingers as she comes, shouting yes over and over until she falls into me.

I have to lick my fingers before picking her up. “Fuck, you taste so good,” I groan, walking us back to her bed. In no time both of our clothes are off. She’s so blissed out, she doesn’t even ask me why I’m freshly showered, her paranoid ass always asking to smell my dick.

Maybe she’s finally learning to trust me.

I don’t think about it too long as I place wet kisses down her body, until I’m back at my favorite place. Her left hand cradles my head, her body arching when I suck her clit into my mouth. My fingers push back into her tight heat, and I ring out another orgasm from her.

I wanna go all night. I really do. But I can’t wait any longer.

Her back isn’t even on the bed yet before I’m sliding home, interlocking our fingers and pressing her hands above her head.

My pace is brutal, damn near knocking the lining out of her pussy as I thrust over and over again.

“Open your eyes baby.”

They pop open, unfocused and glazed with lust before finding me. What else I find makes my heart squeeze.

“I love you, Wynter Snow Alvarez.”

Her pussy clings to me, milking me with each stroke.

“I love you, Richard Ayaan Alvarez.”

I let go of her hands to cup her head, and bring my lips to hers. Her hands dig into my back like her heels dig into my ass. I slow my pace, but still drive as deep as I can into her. Digging her out in a way only I could. Hitting every spot I’ve ever tagged.

Our foreheads meet, both slick with sweat.

“I’m not gonna last, baby,” I moan. “I can’t.”

“I’m almost there,” she whimpers.

Leaning up, I grab her leg and pull it all the way to her shoulder, and rub her clit in tight circles. Her eyes roll back in no time, and she screams my name, just as her other leg locks around my waist.

She pulls my orgasm right out of me, and all the nut I saved for her shoots out, painting her walls.

My vision blacks out, and for a brief second, all my weight falls into her.

“Fuck!” Curling my hands around her waist, I pull us into she’s laying on me, eventually moving until she’s on my chest.

“I think,” I huff, “I think I just got you pregnant.”

“Wouldn’t be the first time,” she jokes, before freezing.

Snow lifts her head, the apology ready on her lips, but I silence her with a kiss.

“I can get you a Plan B in the morning,” I say, though I don’t really mean it.

“Hmm, no. If it’s meant for you to lock me down all the way, then I think I’m ready. I think I would look so cute as a pregnant bride, just as long as it’s my second trimester. What do you think?”

Images of Snow pregnant with my baby got my chest expanding more than I thought possible.

A chuckle breaks me out of my daydream, and when I turn my head, there’s Fredo. Same outfit as always. Same stupid smile on his face.

Damn, I hope he ain’t just see me fuck the shit out of my fiancée just now.

Nah, dumbass. In fact… I really just came to say goodbye. I’on think you really need me anymore, brodie. Seems like you figured out a way through. I’m glad you both found your way back to each other.

“Rico?”

When I blink, he’s gone. Turning back to Snow, she’s waiting for me to answer her.

“I think… that I’m on whatever you’re on.”

“Yielding to me already,” she cheeses, holding out her hand again. “How does it feel to be out the game officially? You think you gon’ regret it?”

I grab her hand and kiss her ring. “Hell nah. Only the coldest muthafucka could trip me up. I always knew you’d be the one.”

She’s blushing like crazy, and I can’t help but pull her close. My baby, foreal. All them years without her, makes this moment right here, holding her in my arms, priceless.

“My forever,” I whisper, kissing her again.

“Our forever,” she whispers back.

Ice Princess and her Luney.

Rico and his Snow.

I’ll never let her go again.

I don’t think I ever did.
