Chapter Three #2

“Does it frighten you?” he asked, watching her face.

“No.” She swallowed. “Does it frighten you that I want it inside me?”

His response was a sound halfway between a growl and a laugh, and then he was lifting her, her back still against the bulkhead, her legs wrapping around his narrow waist. The tip of him pressed against her entrance, and Zara’s entire body clenched in anticipation.

“Slowly,” he said, more to himself than to her. “You’re smaller than a Tylician female. Tighter.”

“I’m not going to break.”

“I know. But I want to feel every inch.”

He pushed forward, and the spiral ridges caught against her inner walls that made her cry out.

The sensation was unlike anything—each ridge seemed to find a different cluster of nerve endings, creating a cascade of stimulation that spread outward from where they were joined.

Zain moved slowly, pausing every few centimeters to let her adjust, to let her feel the full effect of his alien anatomy.

When he was fully seated inside her, he stopped.

Their foreheads pressed together. His horns curved on either side of her face like parentheses.

The bioluminescent lines on his sides were pulsing rapidly now, and she could feel the corresponding pulse deep inside her, his shaft throbbing in time with his heartbeat.

“Zara.” Just her name, spoken like a prayer.

She kissed him instead of answering, and he began to move.

The rhythm he set was slow and deep at first, each thrust dragging those ridges across her most sensitive places.

Zara’s nails dug into his shoulders, gripping the firm muscle beneath his scales.

The bulkhead was cold against her back, but everywhere else was heat—his chest against her breasts, his mouth on her neck, the friction building where their bodies joined.

“Harder,” she gasped.

Zain obliged. His pace quickened, the slow drag becoming a driving rhythm that made the bulkhead shudder with each impact.

The pleasure built with alarming speed. She could feel it coiling at the base of her spine, a pressure that was almost unbearable, a climax that promised to be more intense than anything she’d ever experienced. Her inner muscles began to flutter around him, and Zain responded by thrusting deeper.

“Let go,” he urged, his voice ragged. “I’ve got you.”

The bioluminescence along his sides flared brilliant white, and Zara felt something change inside her—a vibration, subtle at first, then growing stronger.

The spiral ridges along his shaft began to pulse in a rippling wave, starting at the base and traveling to the tip in quick succession, over and over, stimulating her in a pattern that no human partner could ever replicate.

Zara screamed.

Her climax detonated through her body like a shockwave.

Every muscle clenched simultaneously—her fingers curling into claws against his shoulders, her thighs locking around his waist, her inner walls gripping him in spasms that seemed to go on and on.

Her vision fragmented into shards of violet and silver.

Somewhere distant, she heard herself saying his name, or maybe just sounds that approximated language.

Through the haze, she felt Zain’s rhythm falter.

His body stiffened, and a sound ripped from his chest that was more roar than moan.

He drove into her one final time, burying himself to the hilt, and the heat of his release flooded her as the bioluminescent lines blazed bright enough to illuminate the entire cabin.

They stayed that way for a long moment—braced against the bulkhead, bodies locked together, breathing ragged. Zara’s legs trembled with aftershocks. Zain’s forehead remained pressed to hers, his silver eyes half-lidded and hazy with satisfaction.

When he finally withdrew and lowered her gently to her feet, Zara’s legs nearly gave out. She leaned against the bulkhead, still catching her breath, her skin slick with a combination of sweat and the faint luminescent residue that had transferred from his body to hers.

“That was…” She shook her head, unable to find the words.

“Only the beginning,” Zain said. He was still hard, she noticed. Still glowing slightly. “Tylician endurance is significantly greater than human norms.”

Before she could process that information, he was guiding her toward the sleeping platform in the corner of the cabin—a low, wide surface covered in fabrics that shimmered like liquid mercury. He laid her down, arranging her limbs as carefully as if she were made of glass.

His mouth found her inner thigh, and Zara’s breath hitched.

“I told you I wanted to taste every inch of you.”

His tongue traced a path from her knee upward, and Zara’s head fell back against the silvery fabric.

The textured surface of his tongue was even more devastating on the sensitive skin of her inner thigh than it had been on her breasts.

By the time he reached the apex of her thighs, she was already trembling again.

“You’re glowing,” she whispered, looking down at him.

The sapphire scales on his cheekbones were emitting a faint light, and the bioluminescent lines along his sides had begun pulsing once more.

“The glow responds to arousal.” His breath was hot against her center. “And you, Zara of the Bailiwick Forces, make me very, very aroused.”

His mouth descended, and Zara’s world narrowed to a single point of exquisite sensation.

The ridged texture of his tongue was overwhelming—each tiny ridge seemed to find a different nerve ending as it swept through her folds.

The bioluminescent tip of his tongue was slightly warmer than the rest, and when it circled her clitoris, she bucked so hard that Zain had to pin her hips to the bed with both hands.

The pressure of his palms on her hipbones, the impossible texture of his tongue, the sight of his horns curving against her thighs—it built another climax before she’d fully recovered from the first. She arched off the sleeping platform with enough force to nearly unseat him.

But Zain held on, his mouth relentless, drawing out her pleasure until she was begging for mercy.

He lifted his head, his lips glistening, his expression one of pure masculine satisfaction. “Mercy? But I’m only getting started.”

Zara propped herself up on her elbows, her chest still heaving. “Then come here.”

He crawled up her body, and she tasted herself on his lips—strange and familiar simultaneously. Her hand found his shaft again, still rigid, and she guided him toward her entrance.

“This time,” she said, meeting his eyes, “I want to be on top.”

Zain’s smile was approving. He rolled onto his back, pulling her with him in a single fluid motion. Zara straddled his hips, the head of him pressing against her once more, and she sank down with a sigh that turned into a moan as those ridges found new angles inside her.

The bioluminescent lines along his sides flared as she began to move.

“Zara.” His hands found her hips, helping her find a rhythm. “Look at me. I want to see your face when you take your pleasure from my body.”

She looked down at him and felt something crack open inside her chest. This was more than rebellion. More than lust. This was recognition, the shock of finding something you didn’t know you’d been searching for.

She didn’t say it. Couldn’t. Instead, she rode him harder, faster, chasing a third climax that was already building at the base of her spine. Zain matched her pace, his hips driving upward to meet her descent.

When she came this time, she took him with her—her inner muscles gripping him so tightly that his control finally shattered. The bioluminescence erupted across his entire body, not just the lines but the scales too, turning him into a constellation of pulsing light against the silver fabric.

The hatch chimed.

Zara froze, her body still spasming around him. Zain’s hands tightened on her hips.

“Commander Zain.” A voice crackled through the ship’s intercom, crisp and emotionless. “The Tylician High Council has intercepted intelligence regarding your location. A Bailiwick patrol ship has been dispatched to your coordinates. ETA seven minutes.”

Zara’s blood turned to ice.
