Mia’s Epilogue

MIA’S EPILOGUE

Mia

Some years later…

Look, it’s still sexy when my husband does the laundry.

Especially since there’s so much of it. Twins will do that though.

Audrey and Whitney are busy little girls who have a way of making messes out of everything.

Their clothes, the couch, the cat. Zeus’s tail was collateral damage in a marathon fingerpainting session last week.

But that boy didn’t seem to mind – he is so good with the kiddos.

He let them paint his tail a sparkly green.

He’s always been a patient cat – more like a dog, in some ways if you ask me.

But, lest anyone think Zeus is purr-fect, he was a little ornery when I washed the green paint off his tail.

Hey, I get it. If I had a tail that spectacular, I’d be particular about it too.

But I explained to him that I was using Pure Beauty, and since my company just launched a line of cruelty-free pet shampoos I like to think he appreciated my choice.

As for me, I appreciate my sexy, kind, funny and caring husband.

Patrick works hard with his adventure tour business, and I work hard with mine, and at night, he still works me hard.

Just the way I like it – sometimes at home here in New York, and sometimes when we go camping together in the summer.

When we do that, Chase and Josie and Max and Henley watch our girls.

They all have their own kids now, so we trade off with the babysitting duties.

All in all, I love living in New York and seeing my family here, as well as all the new friends I’ve made, like Bellamy Hart.

Even though I found my Happily Ever After, I get a kick out of her dating advice show A Million Frogs.

It’s fun to catch up with her and hear what it’s like to brave the romance waters in Manhattan these days…

.and I’m particularly interested in getting all the details of a “sort of date,” her words, that she went on last night.

Apparently, she went to a costume party at Spencer’s bar, and she met a guy there who might very well be her match.

When I grab a slice of cake with her the next day, she tells me the guy is Spencer’s cousin, Easton Ford…

who’s known for throwing elite romance matchmaking parties in Manhattan.

So exclusive, you need a special invite.

Color me intrigued. But Bellamy plans to crash one of his parties next weekend.

I can’t wait to hear what happens when she does.

For now, I’ve got my best friend to go home to every night.
