Chapter 55
CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE
Vesper
The door clicked shut, and Vesper turned to see Bellamy’s rigid posture frozen at the foot of the bed, facing away with her arms crossed in front of her.
Bel knew she was in trouble. Vesper had made that perfectly clear.
She couldn’t stop the smile that crept onto her face.
Sure, she didn’t love it when Bel picked fights.
But honestly, she was feeling about the same.
Vesper just had the good sense to know that they needed to keep Cedar on their side.
She wasn’t angry—not really. Plus, there was nothing sexier than Bellamy when she was ready for punishment. Bel knew what she was doing. Being a fucking brat.
Without a word, she snapped the lock in place, watching as Bellamy tensed, then strode over to the dresser.
There had to be something in there she could use as restraints.
Each slam of a drawer, not yielding what she wanted, just built up the anticipation.
Bellamy thought Vesper was pissed, there was no doubt about that. She probably should be.
Three drawers later, Vesper found a tie.
Perfect. She turned. Bellamy still hadn't moved.
Was still fucking pouting. The audacity to pout after trying to cause a fight almost made Vesper laugh.
She slunk behind Bel, who stood rigid when she felt Vesper so close, and grabbed her arms, pulling her hands behind her back.
Vesper silently tied her wrists together and pushed Bellamy forward until her knees hit the low mattress. Then, she shoved her head down onto it.
“We need to discuss your attitude, Bel,” Vesper growled in her ear, leaning over her, pressing their bodies together.
Bellamy whimpered and Vesper knew immediately this was all Bel had wanted.
Every time she poked and prodded, tried to start fights, her only goal was to get Vesper’s attention.
And right now, she was more than happy to give it.
“I don’t have an attitude,” Bellamy argued. Vesper pulled back and smacked her ass. The sting set into her hand while Bellamy tried to wriggle free from her restraints.
“Try again.”
“I don’t have a fucking attitude,” Bellamy snapped, more sure and aggressive this time. Vesper smirked and spanked her harder.
“Bel,” she warned.
She stroked Bellamy's ribs, pushing under her shirt and roaming upwards until she found Bellamy’s hardened nipples and pinched them, pulling a low moan from Bel. Bellamy wriggled again, but this time, she pushed herself into Vesper instead of trying to get away.
“What about my attitude do you want to discuss?” Bellamy ground out, her voice breathy already.
“Stop provoking the one person who might be capable of helping us,” Vesper ordered, enjoying watching her squirm while continuing a casual perusal of Bel’s body.
“I’m not,” Bellamy argued weakly. As if she didn’t know exactly what she was doing.
Vesper let out a soft laugh before drawing back and spanking her again.
When Bellamy, again, pushed herself back into Vesper, she slipped a hand into Bellamy’s shorts and ran her finger through Bel’s center, pressing inside until Bellamy graced her with a soft moan.
“I think you’re enjoying your punishment too much,” Vesper whispered, pulling her finger out and wiping it on Bellamy’s thigh. “And you’re still lying to me.”
“You’re not saying what you want,” Bellamy whined. She cried out when Vesper spanked her again, harder than the previous times.
“I told you exactly what I want. You need to start playing nice with everyone.”
Bellamy huffed. “I don’t like them.” Vesper rolled her eyes and slid her hands up and down Bellamy’s sides, teasing.
“Tough. Get over it.”
“Vesper,” Bellamy whined, dragging out the syllables, her voice full of desperation and frustration.
“Yes, Bellamy?”
Bellamy sucked in a sharp breath at the full use of her name and whispered, “Please.”
“You think you deserve a reward?” She laughed. “You need to think about how to fix your attitude.” To punctuate her statement, she leaned over Bellamy, pressing their bodies together, and bit her exposed shoulder hard enough to leave a mark. “On your knees,” she whispered in her ear.
Bellamy quickly complied, throwing Vesper a sultry look over her shoulder as she knelt, clearly hoping Vesper would sit in front of her. Hoping beyond all reason, probably, that Vesper would reward her with something she hadn’t had since they’d broken up.
“How do you want me to earn my forgiveness?” Bellamy asked, breathless.
“I already told you, Bel,” Vesper whispered, pushing Bellamy forward so her chest lay against the bed, her knees still pushed into the hard floor, and her ass perfectly exposed.
“I want you to think about what you’ve done and don’t do it again.
Don’t move.” Vesper let her hand wander slowly down Bellamy’s back, relishing her shudder before she abruptly stood up and left the room.
She chuckled to herself when Bellamy’s angry yell reached her through the closed door.
She wouldn’t leave her for long. Just long enough to see what kind of toys Mazz might be willing to lend her to have some proper fun. Besides, Bel needed a bit of humbling. She couldn’t keep pissing Cedar off whilst they still needed her help.
Turning down the hallway to Mazz’s office, Vesper almost smacked into Cedar leaning against the wall and watching her with a smirk.
“That was fast,” Cedar said, ignoring Vesper’s eye roll. She followed her down the dimly lit hall. “Must have gotten off pretty light if you’re already done with her.”
“Thought for sure you’d still be with your sister,” Vesper grumbled. “What do you want?”
Cedar shrugged. “Just curious what you’d do to her.”
“Go away.”
They reached the halls leading to Mazz’s office and Cedar laughed. “Bellamy wasn’t enough for you?” she asked innocently, still following, much to Vesper’s growing irritation.
“Just fucking say what you want, Cedar.”
Instead of answering, Cedar’s face lit up with a dangerous smile. “If I piss you off enough, will you take it out on her?”
“Why do you hate her so much?” It was a question Vesper had never really known the answer to. Never cared until recently. “It can’t actually just be because of your parents. They were horrible, you know that.”
“Cypress likes you,” Cedar said instead of answering her question.
Vesper blanched. There was no fucking way Cedar was jealous.
All because her sister liked Vesper more?
Fucking of course she would! She didn’t even know Cedar anymore.
Vesper raised an eyebrow and stopped walking, leaning instead against the deep-red wall behind her and crossing her arms. She peered at Cedar curiously.
“You should be talking to her instead of me if you want her to like you more.”
“That’s not what I meant,” Cedar snapped, waving her off. “I’m just—” She sighed and chewed on her bottom lip, tracing her fingers along the intricate gold swirls on the wallpaper.
“You need to be careful with her, V,” Cedar said, finally looking at Vesper. The sincerity in her eyes caught Vesper off guard. “I know she’s not a kid anymore, but she’s still my little sister, and well, to be honest, I’m worried. I don’t want her to get hurt.”
“Why do you think I’ve been protecting her all these years? She’s a good kid. You should know I won’t let anything happen to her.”
“You need to start treating her like an adult.” Cedar huffed. “You don’t even see it, do you?”
“See what?”
“Cypress likes you. For whatever reason I cannot fathom, she has a crush on you.” Cedar’s tone was snappish now, and Vesper rolled her eyes. What the fuck was she supposed to do about that? Cedar shook her head disbelievingly. “You still don’t get it.”
“Look. I’ve been taking care of her for nine years. I don’t think I’m suddenly gonna hurt her now, what, just because you’re back? You and I never liked each other that much.”
Cedar huffed again, crossing her arms over her chest and waiting while Meila slid past them, darting a brief, confused glance at Vesper before continuing on.
“You treat her like she’s still that same child you saved all those years back.
It’s not good for her. Besides,” Cedar paused, waiting for Meila to round the corner, heading toward the hidden rooms where Bellamy was waiting for Vesper to come back.
“I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about Bellamy. ”
“Seriously? What does Bel have to do with this? She’s not gonna hurt Cypress. You know that.”
Cedar sucked her teeth. “You sure about that? You might not notice it, but you’re different around Bellamy.
She means something to you, and it’s painfully obvious.
How do you think I knew to use her against you?
” Vesper opened her mouth to interrupt, but Cedar cut her off.
“And I’d be willing to bet Cypress has never seen you around someone you care about. Not more than her, at least.”
“She won’t do anything,” Vesper promised, putting her hands up in surrender. As much as she hated to admit it, Cedar had a point.
“Can you be sure of that? Are you sure you can control Bellamy?”
“Excuse me?” Vesper hissed, her softened demeanor hardening in an instant as she pushed off the wall, invading Cedar’s space. “What the fuck do you—”
Cedar cut her off before she could even get started, refusing to back down.
“No, V. It’s a valid concern. Bellamy is the single most jealous, possessive, insane person I’ve ever fucking met.
If anyone is capable of hitting Cypress where it hurts, it’s her.
She might not physically hurt her, but you of all people know what she can do emotionally. ”
Vesper gritted her teeth. She didn’t want to admit that Cedar was right, but she did make a good point.
Bel had definitely known what she was doing when she’d told Cypress that Vesper and Cedar used to have sex.
She could easily see her taking it further.
She really didn’t want to think that Bellamy would do that, though.
But, fuck, the idea couldn’t be discarded completely.
“Fine,” Vesper sighed. “I’ll make sure they’re not alone together. Now, do you mind? I wasn’t actually planning on leaving Bel this long, and I still need to discuss something with Mazz.”
Cedar rolled her eyes. “It better be a good punishment.”
Vesper knew she was just being a bitch, but she couldn’t help smile to herself—it was certainly going to be a good punishment.
