Chapter 4 #3
The shadows binding her writhed in time with my movements. They tightened and loosened in patterns designed to heighten her pleasure, to drive her beyond thought to pure sensation.
"Look at me," I demanded again when her eyes threatened to close. "I want to see you when you come apart for me."
Her eyes locked with mine, golden-brown drowning in black as her pupils expanded. I could see everything in those eyes—the moment when the last of her resistance crumbled, when she surrendered completely to the curse, to me, to us.
Her release was violent in its intensity.
Her body arched against the restraints, a scream tearing from her throat that seemed to shake the very foundations of the manor.
The shadows pulsed with light, absorbing and reflecting her pleasure.
I felt it echo through me, a sympathetic pleasure that tightened low in my belly.
Her cunt was mine… I needed to feel it beg for more of my touch. I slid the dagger hilt from her body and eased my fingers inside, almost crumbling at the way her cunt eagerly squeezed my fingers.
I didn't stop. I couldn't. The hunger that had built over a century of isolation demanded more. I drove her through one climax into another, relentless in my pursuit of her complete surrender. Each cry, each shudder of her body against mine, only fueled my determination.
I lost count of how many times I pushed her over the edge.
Seven? Eight? More? Until her voice was raw from screaming, until her body trembled continuously, until sweat slicked her skin and tears tracked down her cheeks.
Only when she could no longer form words, when her head dropped forward in exhaustion, did I finally relent.
With a gesture, I released the shadow bindings, catching her as her legs gave way beneath her.
She felt impossibly light in my arms, fragile in a way that belied her strength.
I carried her through the shifting corridors of the manor, the nightmare landscape parting before us and reforming in our wake.
The very fabric of my realm seemed to acknowledge what had happened, what had changed between us.
The bedroom materialized around us, my sanctuary within this prison of my own making. The canopied bed loomed like an island in a sea of darkness, the sheets already turned back in anticipation. I laid her down gently, watching as her limbs sprawled bonelessly across the mattress.
I climbed in beside her, gathering her close. Her skin was hot against mine, her heart still racing from exertion. I pulled the sheets over us both, creating a cocoon of false safety in this world of perpetual danger.
"I'll kill anyone who tries to take you from me," I whispered against her hair, not caring if she heard. The vow was as much for me as for her… a promise to protect what was mine, no matter the cost.
The memory of this moment would forever remain crystal clear, every detail preserved in perfect clarity. The scent of blood and desire. The feel of stone beneath my knees. The sound of her voice breaking around my name. The taste of her surrender.
Everything etched into my consciousness like carvings in ancient stone.
As we lay entangled in the aftermath, my thoughts drifted to the bitter irony of our situation.
The curse that had tormented me for a century had led to this, to her.
Was this freedom? Or merely a different kind of prison, one we shared?
The questions whispered through my mind, but I pushed them away, unwilling to examine them too closely.
In the stillness, as our breathing slowed and synchronized, I felt something shift inside me.
The hollow space that had ached for so long seemed less empty, filled with something I hesitated to name.
Not love… I wasn't capable of that anymore, if I ever had been.
But something close. Something possessive and protective and dangerously close to human.
I tightened my arms around her sleeping form, feeling the steady rise and fall of her chest against mine. The curse bound us together now, our blood mingled, our fates intertwined beyond separation. Whatever came next, whatever horrors awaited in this nightmare realm, we would face them together.
As I drifted toward sleep, surrounded by the warmth of her body and the cool embrace of shadows, I made another silent vow: I would never let her go.
Not for her sake, not for mine, not for anyone's.
She was mine now. Completely, irrevocably mine.
And I would burn down worlds before I surrendered her.
The nightmare realm around us settled into a rare moment of peace, as if acknowledging the truce.
Tomorrow would bring new challenges, new battles both within and without.
Something had changed here, disturbed the chaos in a way that unbalanced it.
It would become unpredictable. But for now, in this suspended moment between one horror and the next, we had found something like belonging.
And I would kill to keep it.
