20. Chapter 15
Evie
Present Day
Bullshit, that's what this is. “Look, we all have our enemies. I don’t see what the big deal is.” They act like they are some saints.
I snicker. Ya, if you count saints of the underworld.
These men kill with their bare hands. They run these streets and everyone bows for a reason.
But me. They can fuck off if they think I would ever bow to them.
“It becomes our problem when you bring it to our doorstep. If you want nothing to do with us, then why would you even come back? Why would you even be in our territory, working for our club? And did I hear a little birdie say that you were doing something else?” Damion snickers, glancing at me in the rearview mirror.. So, I look away.
“Jerk,” I whisper under my breath. What I wouldn’t do for a joint right about now. I bet one of these guys has something on them.
“I think Evie needs to be reminded who we are. She seems to have a tongue on her.” Emmit squeezes my thigh as he talks.
“You know I think you're right. I guess getting my dick shoved down her throat wasn't enough.” Marcus throws the words around, reminding me that I just had his dick down my throat.
I cough at the phantom feeling. My throat tightens, as I carefully glide my finger tips down the column of my throat. I swallow, as tears come to my eyes.
“So what’s your master plan?” My voice comes out crackling, as emotions are powering through me like a steel pipe.
“I need to get Lizzy. She's at her sitters now.
But she can't stay forever. I really don’t need a pity fuckin party.
I survived this long, didn't I? I could just go back to my apartment and you know, live my life.” I protest, knowing my words won't get me anywhere with these men.
Emmit is right. I might have been gone for years but they are still the same old guys, I have always known to love and hate.
“Evie, you have another gang looking for you. You're not going anywhere till we figure out what's going on.” Damion shifts in his seat a little as we pull up to a black wrought iron fence.
“What the fuck is this?” I really need my weapons right about now.
But, I'll let the guys think they have the upper hand for now.
The Suv comes to a stop as tall trees cover the land.
The building stands out with its open floor to ceiling windows.
This is a mother fucking castle, I swear.
Or is it that I have just been so poor for so long that anything is a castle at this point?
The guys jump out before pulling me out like I'm some rag doll.
“Watch yourself,” I look Marcus in the eyes. I swear they twinkle back at me with amusement.
“Or what Evie, you going to pull out a knife on me? Do it!” He fucking stands there with his hand firmly gripped around my forearm, egging me on. I turn in his grip and reach up on my tippy toes, biting his lip.
“Don’t tempt me, big boy.”
Emmit grips my love handles as he leans into my ear. “You better step back, Babydoll, before you do something you'll regret.”
“Call the sitter Evie. See if she will keep Lizzy a little longer.” Damion puts his hands in his black slacks and rocks on his feet back and forth.
“Yeah, ok let me just go get that money.
Oh wait, I wasn't able to work to get it,” Shit, I need rent money and I still owe Gregor.
I'm not saying a word to these guys about that though.
That's my deal and I'll have to handle it myself.
I take a look to analyze my surroundings.
I make sure I have all escape routes ingrained in my head.
I will have to leave eventually. It really doesn't matter what they say.
Why I'm even entertaining them right now has me stumped.
Is it nostalgia? Probably. My heart flutters. I know why.
As I'm pulled into the door more guys come forward and start talking to Damion and the others.
Shit, security. I could just say I have stuff to go grab.
“Yeah, he's in the den; says he needs to talk to you now.” The body guards are dressed in full tactical gear.
Black from head to toe. They stand with their shoulders apart and their legs spread.
“Let's just get it over with.” Treven grips my solder and kisses my head.
“Come on.” He takes me out of Marcus' embrace. I wince and bend down. Treven stops and lowers himself. “Let’s take these off.” He carefully rubs his hand up my leg and slides down the zipper to my boot.
He repeats the action to my other side. Tossing the boots to the side he places his hand in mine.
“Be good, Evie.” His lips graze my cheek as we head into what I assume is the den.
Steps go down to a flat level with a shucked bar to the right and a giant desk in the middle.
The black leather U-shaped couch expands, taking up the majority of the room.
There’s a fire on spitting out flames cracking and popping.
My arms break out in goosebumps, giving me the shivers.
I’m definitely out of my element here. I feel like even my feet touching the white marble floor is a disease or something.
I feel like I need to scrub my body a million times.
I’m definitely not meant to be here. I think that stings a little more than anything else, cause the guys have definitely made it where they’re over here living their best lives.
I slummed it up on the southside, but I mean that’s where we all came from.
None of us came from any kind of wealth. A throaty laugh breaks me out of my trance. Fuck, no. I lower my eyes like a child when they think if I can’t see them, then they can’t see me. Gregor sits with some of his men. I had no idea but I did realize that Gregor was connected to any of the guys.
“I have done some on foot working in the southside. They seem to be really good with the customers and money has been up.” Gregor puts his hands above his head and leans back in his chair. Shit, fuck is the only thing I can think of. This is bad, very bad.
I slide across the cool marble as I come to a stop.
I swear I can hear his breathing laughter.
Glad someone thinks this shits funny. “Evie, I’m surprised to see you here.
” I swear I could just rip his balls off and walk away, without a care in the world.
Not yet I can’t let this house get all bloody.
I lift my head up. I guess hiding won’t work, so better to show him I’m above than below him.
Gregor takes his thumb nail and starts to pick some meat from in between his teeth.
His whole demeanor screams sleaze ball. How could the guys do work with him?
“Yeah, we already met up today. Isn’t that enough or did you just wanna see me more?
” I shrug and look at the other guys as I walk around the den.
“Who wouldn’t want to see you more, Evie.” Gregor licks his lips in a provocative gesture, growls come from the guys and I smile. I see they still want to be possessive. My pussy grips and releases. That’s shit has me feeling all types of ways.
“Why the fuck would you be seeing me Gregor?” I’m not surprised and Marcus stands to his full height towering over everyone. His arms flex as he crosses them over his pecks. My heart beat picks up a notch. I swear I can hear it in my ears.
“Knees.” I roll my eyes at his demands.
“Maybe I don’t want to.” I flip my hair and look back at Gregor. His smile reaches his hair line.
“I don’t think so Evie. You have a lot of explaining to do.
” Sylus comes up behind me and pushes his hand up my skirt.
My panties are permanently drenched around these men.
His other hand wraps around my throat, creating a beautiful necklace.
His face bends down and he slowly rubs his nose up my face.
Stroking my slit through my wet panties, I gasp and try to wiggle free.
“I think you were told to do something, Sweetness.” His hand grips my throat tighter until I can barely breathe.
Pushing my panties to the side he inserts two fingers swiftly.
“You're going to do as you're told.” He pulls out and pushes back into my body harshly. I try to shake my head but the grip on my throat holds me still. Running his nose up to my ear, I can hear the harsh breathing. I know he’s affected just as much as I am.
My eyes start to flutter. He pulls his fingers out of me bringing them up to his nose and breathing in my scent.
My pussy flutters as he pushes me to the floor.
“Now, answer the question.” Sylus is usually not so demanding.
I look at the others who all return grim looks with their muscles bulging out.
I guess they're not so happy with me either. Fine.
“Why would it matter to any of you?” With a sigh I continue.
“Gregor is my supplier.” I swear I’m going crazy if they think they can keep pushing me around.
They have another thing coming. I would slit their throats in their sleep but you know, I think I still love them or something.
“You're doing what Evie?” This comes from Damion as Marcus chimes in. “You have to be kidding me.” Sylus strokes my hair, keeping me calm for the time being. Emmit looks like he’s going to fuck some shit up, his eyes tell me their story.
He’s one you don’t fuck around with crazy is as crazy does. Emmit’s a fuckin psycho.
Just as that thought hits me, a knife comes out of nowhere and lands in one of Gregor’s men’s eyes. “Stop fuckin looking at her.” See what I mean? He can care less about any consequences. The man screams, “My fuckin eye. My fuckin eye. You crazy ass son of a bitch.” I can't help but laugh.
“Gregor get him the fuck out of here. Will be in contact with you later.” With that Gregor and his men leave. Blood trickles to the white marble floors dirtying the space. What a shame.
With no choice, I answer in the only way I know how.
“Unlike you guys I have nothing, what was I supposed to do? I have no traits or anything.” Averting my eyes, I just want this to be over.
I knew eventually shit would blow up. How long did I think I could hide?
To be honest, I just thought of one thing as long as he didn't find me.
I would much rather have the guys over him any day.
“Well I don’t know, you could have stayed with us? I mean are we really so horrible you would rather live the streets than be with us?” Marcus pulls at his hair in frustration. “We would of given you the god damn mother fucking world and you what, threw it all away.” Marcus is fuming with rage.
Damion places his hand on his shoulder. “Man, chill out ok.” Marcus steps back and shakes his head. “Start speaking,” a hand slaps my bare thigh causing me to jump a little.
“What do you guys want from me? I don't even get why I'm here. Sure, I lived in your territory and I worked a few jobs you don't agree with. Lizzy is my number one priority and nothing will ever change that. Not even any of you.” I hold my head up high, even as I kneel on the marble floor.
“Get the fuck outta here Evie, seriously.
You just vanished out of thin air. One second you're the love of our lives, the next it was like you never existed.” Marcus paces back and forth as he talks to me.
Sylus stays at my back and Damion takes a seat at his desk.
Treven reaches over to comfort me, like he always did.
But Emmit, his eyes fixate on the blood at our feet.
I look at a small pool of blood and get lost. The red-like syrup just sits there and I stay as still as a statue.
I start to sway back and forth. My breathing uneven clouds filter through my eyes before the blackness takes over.
