37 - Haven
HAVEN
I wasn’t even sure how long I’d been lying there. Half an hour. Maybe longer.
The storm howled outside, rattling the glass, but inside everything felt too still, too quiet.
Too loud in my own head.
I flopped onto my back. Then onto my side. Then back again.
“Unbelievable,” I muttered.
Because I knew exactly what the problem was. Them.
All of them.
I thought about Ares, possessing me. About Grayson, nudging my thighs apart in that shitty motel. I pulled up the memory of Sebastian, spooning me from behind. His fingers dipping inside me, as he whispered things in my ear that drove me beyond crazy…
I exhaled sharply.
No.
I wasn’t going back downstairs. I wasn’t knocking on anyone’s door. I wasn’t—
My breath caught.
Fine.
If my body wasn’t going to cooperate, I’d deal with it myself.
Pulling the knot on my sleep shorts, I slipped a hand past my waistband and slid my palm slowly downward. The heat was already building. It wouldn’t take much. Not after everything that happened.
Not after them.
I relaxed, letting my breath soften and slow. My chest rose and fell. In and out…
A quiet sound slipped out before I could stop it.
And then—
The door creaked. I didn’t stop.
I turned my head slowly instead, to find Sebastian standing in the doorway.
For a second, neither of us moved.
His eyes were locked on me. Not confused. Not startled.
Like he’d known exactly what he’d find.
He just stood there, watching. Not saying anything.
Fuck…
I should’ve stopped. Should’ve pulled the blanket up, and told him to get out.
I didn’t.
Instead, I held his gaze… and just kept going.
Sounds of the storm faded away, as the air in the room thickened. I let my fingers continue their slow push-pull, gliding through my heat. Emerging wet and slick from the depths of my own molten essence.
Something inside me broke. It was the rest of my will. The last of my inhibitions dropped away, falling like a curtain.
With a small shift of my hips, I pulled my shorts down, exposing myself fully. I wanted him to see. It made me hotter, knowing he could.
To my surprise, Sebastian followed my lead and did the same.
I was shocked by the size of him. His length. His girth. The hardness, jutting from beneath his sculpted torso, as he pulled his shirt overhead and dropped it to my bedroom floor.
My breath caught as he began stroking himself.
We didn’t look away. Not once.
Oh my God…
The storm picked up again, rattling the window. Like it was trying to drown out the silence between us.
Didn’t work.
I drew closer to the edge, and the edge wasn’t far. Sensing it, possibly from the noises I was making, Sebastian’s hand began gliding even faster along the length of his incredible-looking dick.
It was the threshold of a very big decision.
Then I decided… it wasn’t a decision at all.
“Get in here,” I said softly.
That was all it took.
He crossed the room and climbed into the bed. No hesitation. No rush.
Just certainty.
The mattress dipped as he slid in beside me, slow and careful — giving me every chance to stop this if I wanted to.
I didn’t.
His hand found my wrist, warm and steady, holding me in place as his other hand pulled my shorts away completely.
Then he settled between my thighs.
Our mouths crashed together. Hot. Desperate. Searching.
But it wasn’t about that. Not really.
The kiss was just the spark. The fire came next.
A sharp breath tore from me as he pushed inside.
“God—”
He was big.
So big my breath hitched and I actually squeaked.
Sebastian stilled for a second, searching my face.
“Still okay?” he asked quietly.
I nodded immediately.
“Yeah.”
That was enough. He pushed deeper, filling me completely. Holding my gaze as he drove all the way in.
“Thank God,” he sighed.
He didn’t rush, didn’t take over. He followed me. Matched the roll of my hips, the rhythm building naturally between us.
It made it better. So much better.
I opened wider for him, legs stretching apart as I pressed back into every movement, chasing it, needing it more. His hand came up, brushing my cheek, fingers dragging lightly across my lips as his eyes locked on mine.
And that—
That broke me.
It was the sum total of everything I’d been denied for so long. Weeks of tension. Lingering looks. Almosts.
All of it, collapsed into this.
I clung to him as the heat surged higher, faster, my breath coming in sharp, uneven bursts. Everything blurred together — breath, movement, sensation…
“Don’t stop,” I whispered.
He didn’t.
Couldn’t.
My whole world collapsed and then shattered.
A cry ripped out of me as I came apart, every nerve lighting up at once. His hand sealed over my mouth, muffling the sound as I twisted beneath him, pulsing, shaking, completely gone.
He didn’t stop.
Didn’t slow.
If anything he drove harder — deeper — faster — pulling everything out of me as I clung to him, biting into his palm, nails digging into the tight, flexing muscle beneath my hands.
His body moved with relentless force, powerful and controlled. And I felt all of it.
Every second.
Every inch.
I drifted in the aftermath, floating somewhere above everything, barely aware of the need to breathe.
Sebastian eased his hand away, holding me as I came slowly down, his mouth tracing up my throat before finding mine again.
I was still lost in it when he flipped me over.
I knew exactly what he wanted. And I wanted it too.
I couldn’t wait to give it to him.
“Mmmmm…” I purred, rising up on my elbows. “Fuck me.”
I raised my ass high, waving it back and forth in his direction. Sebastian’s hand settled over my hips, his strong fingers digging in. I moaned again as he entered me from behind.
Fuck YES.
It felt even better than I knew it would. Deeper. Dirtier. Completely exposed.
I wanted him to take me. To have me. To take control and ruin me.
In any way that he wanted.
I gripped the sheets as he surged into me, again and again. For a while, there was nothing else.
No storm. No thoughts. No control.
Just—
This.
I barely registered where I was, and what we were doing. I didn’t even remember closing my eyes.
Then I opened them—
And everything stopped.
Ares stood in the doorway.
Watching.
My breath caught hard, heat twisting into something sharper now. Something dangerous.
Sebastian didn’t stop.
Neither did I.
In that split second, I should have pulled away. Should have said something.
Should have—
I didn’t.
Instead, I held Ares’s gaze.
Letting him see.
All of it.
The tension. The choice.
The fact that I wasn’t stopping.
His jaw tightened, just slightly. His eyes darkened, something possessive flickering there before it disappeared.
He didn’t move, or interrupt, or look away. And suddenly—
This wasn’t something happening to me.
It was something I was choosing.
And for the first time since stepping into this house—
I didn’t care who saw.
