Chapter 10 #2
“I’m going to sleep in my room.” She got out the bed and put her pajamas on. I gave her a shirt and some basketball shorts to go over it.
“I want you in my bed tonight and every night.” I walked her to the door.
“I don’t have a key.” Walking over to the table, I grabbed the extra key card and handed it to her.
“Don’t make me come looking for you and if there’s a problem, call me.
” I knew she was hesitant about going to her room because she mentioned it as we were lying in bed.
I asked if she wanted me to go with her but she refused my offer.
Granted, I could do that anyway but trying to obey her request, I didn’t push the issue.
“How can I even think about going back to him after you?” She stepped outside the door
“Say what now?” I know damn well Lina wasn’t going to be with Ed.
“I mean, what if he’s in the room and wants to have sex? Maybe… Nevermind.” I could tell she was fighting herself on what to do.
“Fuck that. Let me put some clothes on.” Pulling her back in so she didn’t leave, I rushed to throw something on.
BANG! BANG! Lina jumped at the sound of someone at the door. Shaking my head, I walked over to open it.
“Well, I didn’t expect to see you here and why you wearing his clothes.” Raul questioned walking in eating a bag of chips.
“You nosy as fuck and where your girl at anyway.” Lina folded her arms and leaned to the side waiting for him to answer.
“She wasn’t invited to Cairo’s brunch; well she was but not her friend. And I’m pretty sure Cairo mentioned cutting the friends throat if she came around him again.” He shrugged.
Anyway, we fucked all morning and she’ll be asleep until later. Now let’s focus on you two.” He sat down on the chair, looked up at us and stuck a chip in his mouth.
“Which one of you gonna tell Cairo y’all fucking?” Lina looked at me.
“Who said we fucked and…” Raul stopped me.
“Nigga, have you seen your neck and Lina, you’re my favorite cousin and I’d hate to kill that other nigga if he put his hands on you.” What was he talking about?
“Huh?” Raul stood up licking his fingers like a kid.
“You have two hickeys on your neck as well. Soooo, either you slept with Ed and Felix had sex with a random out here, or y’all was in this bitch fucking all night.” He had a smirk on his face. Lina put her head down and I didn’t say a word.
“I wanna be there when you tell Cairo; whoever gonna tell him.” Walking away, Raul had jokes on how Cairo would be mad and most likely kill me and my family for messing with Lina.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want us too, more than it was of us not working in a relationship, things go sour and it affect our business and friendship.
I understood his concern and if it were the other way around, I’d feel the same with my sister.
However, I’ve waited a long time to be with Lina and I wasn’t gonna fuck up.
All my slinging dick in different females was over and done with.
I had full confidence in myself to stay faithful to her.
“Whatever. I’m about to walk her to the room.”
“I’m coming too just in case Cairo roaming the halls and catches you.” Raul threw the bag of chips away and told me to hurry up.
“Cairo stayed at his mansion last night and yes I knew that because the two women he left in the lobby last night were mad they couldn’t go with him.” Lina blurted out.
“Oh, that’s why you’re ok with being out in the open with Felix.
You knew he wouldn’t be here. Got it.” Raul had nonstop jokes but it did make me feel like there was truth in his statement.
Not that it mattered because I enjoyed every second with her but it did make me wonder if that’s why she came to me.
“I came to talk to Felix if you must know.” She snapped, walking toward the elevator with us behind her.
“Why though? You don’t talk to him any other time.” Lina pressed the button over and over in hopes the elevator would come faster.
“If you wanted to fuck just say that. Lying never looked good on anyone.” Raul told her stepping on the elevator.
“And Sammy stalking Sariah didn’t look good but I see you haven’t handled that trick either. I wonder what she’ll do when she learned Sariah having your baby.” Lina had him at a loss for words.
“You always bringing up old shit and I told Sammy to leave her alone. If she doesn’t listen then I have to do what’s necessary.” He shrugged.
“Well you better get ready because Sammy always said no bitch will have your kids but her.” I busted out laughing. Sammy had an obsession with Raul and it wasn’t a healthy one.
“So instead of focusing on me, I think you should focus on keeping Sariah safe from that lunatic. Bye.” Lina switched walking off and down to her room door. Feeling him staring at me, I pressed the button to go back on my floor.
“As long as you treat her good, I’m ok with it.” He surprised me with his words. As far as I knew, all the men in the family felt the same as Cairo when it came to me and Lina.
“Thanks and ain’t no need to cheat.”
“Good to know because I’ll be damned if I go out in the woods looking for your dick that she cut off.” I started laughing hard as hell.
“Hurry up and get dressed. Aunt Annabel said we had to be there by eleven and I’m not trying to hear her mouth.”
Once we made it to my room, I rushed to get ready.
The only person on my mind was Lina and I couldn’t wait to be laid up with her again tonight.
Today was gonna be a long day but Cairo deserved to be celebrated after all he’s done for the family and himself.
It takes a strong man to lead the way he did and I’m happy as hell not to be one of his enemies, at least not at the moment.
I’m not sure how he’ll handle me and Lina being together but I always told him it was going to happen and it did. He’ll either fuck with me or not but when it’s all said and done, me and Lina have the last say.
