“What? You don’t want me to kill her.” Now Kateri was mad at me.
“You’ve never taken a life and I don’t want you dealing with no nightmares.” It was true. Taking someone’s life can haunt a person. She wasn’t suffering from any regarding the shooting on her but taking a life was different.
“She’s been a nightmare for me and my family for years. Making sure she can’t any longer, will surely bring me sunny skies.” Felix thought it was hilarious. Handing over the gun after removing the safety, I watched Kateri walk straight up to Victoria.
“Cairo let you suffer for way too long down here. I’m here to set your ungrateful ass free.” Victoria went to speak and Kateri pulled the trigger. My ex’s brains were all over the ground.
“I’ll give you two a minute.” Felix left us alone.
“Here.” Kateri handed me the gun and attempted to walk away.
“Thank you.” I pulled her close and into my chest.
“I knew you couldn’t do it. That’s why you brought me here.” Kateri was smart as hell and I knew she’d catch on.
One day we were talking and I asked about her family.
She mentioned her father missing in action and how her two sisters hated them.
She said they’d harass them any chance they got, tried to get all of them fired from their jobs, flattened their tires, sent them death threats and the list went on and on.
A lot of childish shit, yet and still Kateri came out on top.
She asked about my ex and I was honest by telling her, she’d never be around again not once mentioning her name.
I also voiced wanting her dead but couldn’t find it in me to do it.
I also said if someone else took her life I’d be ok with it and what do you know, Kateri was able to read between the lines.
“You think you’re smart.” I lifted her in my arms. She stopped me from walking and had me look at her.
“I’m very smart and in love with you, Cairo which means whoever you hate, I hate.
If you have beef, I have that same beef.
We will be one soon once we walk down that aisle and I want you to know I’ll never leave or cheat on you.
You’re the only man for me and that won’t ever change.
” When I say Kateri was made just for me, I meant that.
Those words hit deep and a nigga wanted to marry her right then and there.
“Cairo Romano, you’ll never have to worry about someone not having your back because I’ll be everything you need.” I knew she meant every word. I wouldn’t allow her to get into any conflicts regarding me but it was good to know where she stood.
“A’ight you two. Let’s go.” Felix was talking shit as we walked out. Kateri wanted me to hold her all the way to the car. Felix talked more shit and I didn’t care. My girl did something for me that I couldn’t so she could get whatever she wanted.
Once we were in the car, I sent out a few messages on where to meet me in the morning. Kateri asked me to stay in with her for the rest of the day and I had no problem doing so.
“Let’s get this over with.” I told the guys walking into the place to take one last life for the week. I had no plans of being here longer than needed.
As we headed down the hall and into the place holding this bitch, Kateri sent a message asking for her favorite food. She knew where I was going and told me to make her suffer. Little did she know, Manny had already been doing so.
“What’s up Nicole?” Yup, Jackie’s friend was behind all the mayhem.
She lifted her head and a smile came across my face.
Manny really fucked her up. One of her eyes was completely shut, a few of her fingers were broke, I saw the deep gashes down her arms and legs that he burned to make sure she didn’t lose too much blood and die.
Her head was completely bald showing the belt marks left from that beating.
We’d find weird shit to do and act them out on people who were going to die just to see if it was something we wanted to do again. Basically making them our kill dummies.
“Cairo. Why couldn’t you just give me a chance to be your woman? I thought we had something.” Nicole spoke quietly but loud enough for me to hear.
“You did all that because you wanted to be with me?” The guys sucked their teeth. It wasn’t my fault women were doing dumb shit to be with me.
“We had a moment and…”
“Bitch, you came to the office one night I was drunk and asleep in my office. I woke up to you sucking my dick and kicked you out. There was never any moment after that.” She was delusional as fuck to think I’d be with her.
“I love you, Cairo. Why can’t you see that?” I laughed.
“You loved me so much, you tried to destroy everything I had. Or the fact you made an attempt on my fiancés life in order to get rid of her. How was that love?”
See Nicole had been around the family for years because her and Jackie were best friends. She’s been to the businesses with my cousin as well as the Cayman Islands when we went and Jackie came. That was how the chick was able to describe what was in my house out there.
Nicole knew a lot because Jackie trusted her not thinking anything of it. That’s like Felix doing what she did and he’d be the last person on my mind to watch.
Anyway, it started at the warehouse because Nicole was sleeping with the security guard. She coerced him into going along with her plan and it costed him, his friends and families their lives.
When it came to Rosalina, she secretly hated my sister over the fact she wouldn’t speak to me about getting with her. Rosalina wanted no parts of it and knew I didn’t fuck anyone who was friends with my family.
Lastly, she met William who helped orchestrate a lot of it and encouraged his sister, Gina to play a part with breaking up my sister and Felix.
If Nicole wasn’t happy no one else should be either.
Her obsession with me had her trying to hurt my family and kill Kateri.
That’s where she really messed up because it was sloppy.
Manny assumed it was Nicole after the shit at my office when he spoke to Rosalina.
He claimed she was too nice and she’s a bitch at times.
He started having her followed and that’s when he sent me a video at the mall with Nicole and William at a restaurant earlier that day.
Nicole caused a scene at the mall but quickly left without me sending anyone after her.
We knew she would slip up because she was an amateur.
We had no idea who Williams was until we got Gina at the mall that same day. She cried and told everything about Nicole and her brother.
By the time we got that information, both of them went into hiding. When they shot Kateri, they left in a car together and unfortunately the license plate wasn’t captured on the video camera. Therefore, I didn’t put those two at the scene and assumed it was someone else.
Once Jackie confirmed everything, I made it my business to put a bounty on those two. We ended up finding William and he admitted to being the one who followed Kateri from her house to mine that day which was how they knew where it was.
Nicole thought if she went to Florida after we killed William she’d be safe but that turned out to be wrong. I sent Manny and a team to get her and now he we are.
“People do crazy things when they’re in love.” Shaking my head as she cried and confessed her love, I walked over to Jackie.
“She’s all yours.” The purpose of me coming was to find out why she did all of that. Once she admitted the truth, I handed her over to my cousin. She was her friend and deceived her so it made sense for it to be her taking Nicole’s life.
“Thanks cuz and I’m still planning the baby shower and wedding.” I started laughing because Kateri told me this morning that Jackie sent a message saying she’ll be over this week to start.
“See y’all later.” I walked out and to the car. My driver opened the door and to my surprise, my fiancé was sitting inside.
“How did you get here?”
“Well, I told Lamar.” That was my driver’s name. He finally told her who he was after I proposed.
“I may have mentioned you wanted him to pick me up.”
“Oh yea.” Getting inside, she sat on my lap and asked Lamar to step out for a moment.
“My fiancé had a hectic few days and even though we sex one another like crazy, we never had sex in this car.” She lifted that short skirt she wore, undid my jeans and rode my ass so good, I told her we were getting married in the morning.
After all was said and done, the woman who was supposed to be in my life had a name and it’s Kateri Romano. She was my ride or die and I’m happy as hell to have her by my side.
