Chapter 41 Courageous Citizen
After Kendall said that, Nathan actually let go of her hand.
Seeing how obedient he was, Kendall couldn't help but feel a little more fond of him.
In their two brief interactions, aside from his reluctance to talk, Nathan felt no different from an ordinary person.
He was pure, kind, and obedient, infinitely better than some people out in society.
Take the Hansen family, for example, compared to the kindhearted Nathan, the Hansen family seemed like the ones who were actually ill.
With her wrist free, Kendall waved at Nathan and then left. Nathan stood at the front of the villa, instinctively wanting to follow, but remembering what Kendall had just said, he stayed obediently put. He watched as Kendall drove her car out of the garage and quickly disappeared from his sight.
He stood at the villa gate, his expression as calm as before. Only his clear, glass-like eyes stared unblinkingly in the direction Kendall's car had vanished. Despite having no expression and saying nothing, he looked incredibly wronged, much like a large dog abandoned at home by its owner.
Victoria, standing nearby, called out to him a few times, but he didn't respond. Victoria stood back a bit and took a picture of Nathan standing by the gate, then posted it in the [Loving Family] group chat.
Victoria: "Nathan after Kendall left [image.jpg]"
Normand: "Good. He actually knows how to feel sad."
Neil: "He looks like a husband, reluctantly watching his wife leave."

Kendall drove away from the Sinclair family villa. When she told Victoria she had plans for the afternoon, she wasn't just making an excuse, she genuinely had something to do.
After Kendall captured Cyrus, the sixteen gold bars had been claimed by the victim's families.
Mark sent a message to Kendall asking if she was back.
That robbery case had shocked the entire country back then, and the victims had posted a reward of 20,000 dollars.
Although many years had passed, the reward was still valid as long as the case remained unsolved.
The children of the victim, rushed to the Orapolis Police Department a few days ago to claim the gold bars and specifically wanted to meet Kendall.
However, Kendall had already left to capture the next criminal at Ruby Road, so she politely declined. Even though they didn't meet her, before leaving the police station, they specifically handed a commendation banner, a thank-you letter, and a large check to Mark for him to pass on to Kendall.
Mark messaged Kendall, "In addition to the commendation banner, thank-you letter, and the large check, the bonus and certificate of honour that our unit applied for you have also arrived.
On top of that, there's a surprise waiting for you.
Oh, and if you don't want to be exposed, remember to wear a hat and a mask. "
Kendall didn't know what the surprise Mark mentioned was, but she had to pick up these things sooner or later, so she might as well do it today.
Before getting out of her car, Kendall put on a hat and a mask, covering herself completely. Mark was waiting for her outside the police station.
Soon, Kendall understood why Mark had told her to wear a hat and a mask, and she also found out what the surprise was.
Given that Kendall had bravely captured criminals twice, Robin and Cyrus, and the positive social impact it created, the Orapolis Police Department had specially applied for the title of 'Courageous Citizen' for Kendall, and the application was approved.
When Kendall arrived at the police station this time, not only was Mark waiting for her, but other officials were also waiting. Kendall stood in the lobby as the director and officials took turns presenting her with the certificate of honour and the bonus money.
Right in front of everyone, a photographer was specifically taking pictures to document the occasion.
In the end, the photographer even had everyone stand together for a perfect group photo.
Kendall, standing front and center in the group: "..."
